Good Morning Everyone!!

Alex was a good boy today and let me sleep and snuggle until 9:30!! I'm sure I won't be having too many more of those mornings so I took advantage!! Then he began to do a jig on my bladder in time to DH's snoring so I had to get up. :D

BPB: Glad things are looking better for you. Hope you can make it to the gym. I've never been as far south in FL as Miami, but I hear it's nice. All the other parts I've been to have been great.

Tech: Did you get those dogs walked? Mine is sitting here looking at me with those big brown eyes, we will have to take her out today for a nice walk.

RR: Yeah on sleeping 2 1/2 hours!! Hope she keeps it up.

Hope you guys are having a super Sunday!!

Hi All,

Just wanted to let you know I'm still here! In a lot of pain after walking around Ikea half the day yesterday. My ribs still hurt...think I really pulled a muscle around there somewhere with all the coughing I was doing....today it feels like I have a cracked rib! :( Just took a couple Tylenol, and will be looking for the heating pad soon.

Have a great day all!

Hi all!
KarenK - when's Alex due - or have a skimmed the posts too quickly - enjoy the lie in
LBH - hope you feel better soon, you seem to be having a really rough time with it all.

Hi to everyone else - will pop back tomorrow - in pain - did my first BodyPump class yesterday afternoon - and my body is pumped - with pain - who knew lunges and tricep curls could hurt so much the day after. :dizzy:

hi all.

Not much new here. I drug myself to the health club this a.m. to workout for 30 minutes. Proud of myself for doing so. DH was not here to go with me.

Karen - I stayed in bed until 7:15, to me that is sleeping in. :)

Lauren - sure hope you are feeling better.:^:

Bpb - a body pump class. So what all do you do in that?? Is it an hour long? And lunges are killers in my book! :p

here's to a super week for us all.

Hi all!

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

My weigh day is tomorrow & I don't think it's going to be pretty. I did well at the beginning of the week, but not so good the end.

Yesterday I had a meeting out of town, with lunch provided...fried chicken mashed potatos, greenbeans & peach cobbler and then last night we had dinner at some friends house & it was chicken cordon bleu, mixed veggies, potatos, crescent rolls with cheese, and this to die for chocolate fudge cake with vanilla ice cream!!!! So I REALLY went over points yesterday and no time to exercise.

I had planned on doing really well today & going for a long walk, but I've had a horrible headache all day. I haven't eaten too badly today, but I've been a total slug otherwise.

So I'll take whatever the scale says tomorrow & I'll get back on track. The good news is I'm starting a tap class on Thursday night, so that will be some "fun" exercise once a week.

Lauren - hope you're feeling better finally.

Rabbit - congrats on last week's loss!

Hi all, Didn't want you to think I'd completely dropped off the face of the earth or the diet stuff. I'm spending more on-line time at some PCOS sites and studying a couple of great books I got on the subject. I've found a 'friend' off another site that has become my PCOS buddy. I'm just really going to concentrate on that right now. I'll lurk here more than post and will try to post every now and then. I have just been trying to take a new perspective of the whole issue.

I'm also reading a great book called The Artist Way. Its not just for Artists but for evreyone. I'm really trying to make more time for me and find out who I am all over again (you know how everything else crowds in the way and you become "wife, mother, housekeeper, friend, worker, etc... and you just lose sight of yourself"). First thing every morning I take about 20 minutes to write 3 pages in a journal and just dump everything, kind of clear out my mind and let myself show thru. And its wierd how it has to be the first thing in the morning - I tried it later in the day and it just doesn't work. Anyway...its a cool book.

So.. since Jan 1 I am down 4 lbs! I have a goal of 8 more before Feb 12 when I leave for Philly.

We've decided to go look for a treadmill - someone bought one here recently (Tech or Karen???). What did you get? Sears has all of theirs on sale this week so we may go shopping this evening. I just find it hard to get out of the house to go for a serious walk and the exercise videos just don't seem to do it for me right now. I figure on a treadmill I can at least listen to a book on tape or a C.D. and most hotels we stay in when traveling have treadmills in the exercise rooms.

Anyway, everyone take care, I'll lurk and post when I can, jul

Happy Monday!! I've got to stop sleeping in on the weekend. It kills me on Monday. I had a busy week but it was all fun stuff. I was good and still didn't have any wine (and believe me it was a real challenge!!) Fri I had bunko night with the girls and everyone but me and the pregnant one was drinking wine. It smelled so good. Sat we went over to a friends and it was the first time I've ever been to their house and not had any alcohol to drink. Sun we had the in-laws over for dinner and I opened a bottle of wine for them but didn't have any. So now I have a half a bottle sitting in my fridge. Hopefully DH will drink it soon so I don't have to look at it every night. TOM is supposed to start tomorrow and I had some bad pms over the weekend. Why can men be so helpless and stupid when it's convenient for them????? I'm feeling all better now.

Jul, congrats on the loss. I'm sorry but I forgot what pcos stands for?? Keep in touch and drop by when you can.

LE, I hope weigh-in wasn't too bad. Did you manage to get your walk in? Sometimes when you feel the worst a nice walk is the best thing for you. The hardest part is putting on your shoes. Once you are out there you will feel much better. I promise. :D

Rabbit, I'm with you -- lunges are painful at first. Everytime I get used to them I promise myself I won't stop again but then I do and have to go thru the misery again. I've found the main thing is to start very slow with them and gradually go deeper and do more.

BPB, I've driven thru Miami but never stopped there. My only recommendation is that if you have a day you should drive down to Key Largo for some snorkling. It's beautiful there. I hope you are feeling better.

Lauren, you had better be taking it easy for the next few days. You got a big job just ahead of you!!! Get well soon!!!

Karen, too funny about the dancing to DH's snoring.

Have a great week everyone!!

Hi All,

Thanks for the well-wishes...feeling a slight bit better today, but still moving very slowly.

Liz- Good for you continuing to stay away from the wine!! You are a strong woman, being constantly faced with it! If that was me, and the wine was chocolate cake or ice cream...I'd never last!

Jul- Soo glad to see you check in finally! :) I'm glad you've found a support board for PCOS, and I hope things start to work out for you. As we all know, there's nothing like having a good support system! Glad to hear you'll be lurking, and posting a quick "Hi" occasionally! :D

LE- Good luck at WI today. All that food sounds sooo yummy, it made me hungry!! Hope it doesn't go to bad, I know you'll get right back on track.

Rabbit- Good for you going to the gym...and for being OP for soo long!!

BPB- I really shouldn't complain, because up until about a month ago, I was having the PG of my dreams, no weird cravings, no bad PG problems, nothing, it's been great. Now though, forget it, I've had enough...and to end up with the sinus infection at the end like this...I shoulda known... :/

I think I'm actually gonna try to get some things done today. Need to go grocery shopping, bring the utility check to the landlord, drop off the p/w at daycare so we save a spot, and drop off disability p/w at midwife's office.

Have a great day all!!

Well...good news/bad news from the scale this morning. The good news...I didn't gain...the bad news...I didn't lose  I stayed exactly the same, which is MUCH better than I anticipated, so I will take it! (maybe it was the FEEP! ;) )

It's a good day so far. I've had 10.5 points. May have a 1 point snack a little later so I'll have plenty of points for dinner & hopefully will be able to bank a couple for the weekend. Need to drink some more water, haven't had much of that today. DH & DS have Tae Kwon Do tonight, so I won't have to worry about fixing dinner, so there should be plenty of time for me to go for a walk!

Jul - hey there! Good to see you!

Liz - Great job on the wine! I didn't get the walk in yesterday, my head was still pounding when I went to bed, just couldn't do it.

Lauren - so what's the countdown now?

LE- Gotta love that FEEP!! LOL...what am I talking about...I barely remember what it's like!! My DH is totally hands off...says he doesn't want Petey yelling at him for bonking him on the head!! 3 more days!! Thursday is my EDD, but I'm thinking it's not happening. I have yet to have any symptoms of labor. :( Which actually is not a bad thing right now, because I don't wanna try natural childbirth with a pulled muscle. DH & I keep telling him it's time to come out though...Papa (DH's dad) wants him born on his b-day, which is Sunday!

I had to post this -- it's just too funny!! I hope you don't mind.

Why Women are Cranky......

We start to "bud" in our blouses at 9 or 10 years old only to find anything that comes in contact with those tender, blooming buds hurts so bad it brings us to tears. Enter the almighty, uncomfortable training bra contraption the boys in school will snap until we have callouses on our backs.

Next, we get our periods in our early to mid-teens (or sooner). Along with those budding boobs, we now bloat, we cramp, we get the hormone crankies, have to wear little mattresses between our legs or insert tubular, packed cotton rods in places we didn't even know we had.

Our next little rite of passage (premarital or not) is having sex for the first time which is about as much fun as having a ramrod push your uterus through your nostrils (IF he did it right and didn't end up with his little cart before his horse), leaving us to wonder what all the fuss was about.

Then it's off to Motherhood where we learn to live on dry crackers and water for a few months so we don't spend the entire day leaning over Brother John.

Of course, amazing creatures that we are (and we are), we learn to live with the growing little angels inside us steadily kicking our innards night and day making us wonder if we're having Rosemary's Baby. Our once flat bellies now look like we swallowed a watermelon whole and we pee our pants every time we sneeze.

When the big moment arrives, the dam in our blessed Nether Regions will invariably burst right in the middle of the mall and we'll waddle with our big cartoon feet moaning in pain all the way to the ER. Then it's huff and puff and beg to die while the OB says, "Please stop screaming, Mrs. InLabor.

Calm down and push. Just one more (10 more) good push," warranting a strong, well-deserved impulse to punch the b*****d (and DH) square in the nose for making us cram a wiggling, mushroom-headed 10lb. bowling ball through a keyhole.

After that, it's time to raise those angels only to find that when all that "cute" wears off, the beautiful little darlings morph into walking, jabbering, wet, gooey, snot-blowing, life-sucking little poop machines.

The teen years. Need I say more?

The kids are almost grown now and we women hit our voracious sexual prime in our mid-30's to early 40's while DH had his somewhere around his 18th birthday (which just happens to be the reason all that early hot man sex got you pregnant in the first place).

Now we hit the grand finale: "The Menopause," the Grandmother of all womanhood. It's either take the HRT (hormone replacement therapy)and chance cancer in those now seasoned "buds" or the aforementioned Nether Regions, or, sweat like a hog in July, wash your sheets and pillowcases daily and bite the head off anything that moves.

Now, you ask WHY women seem to be more spiteful than men when men get off so easy INCLUDING the icing on life's cake: Being able to pee in the woods without soaking their socks?

And they say women are the "weaker sex." HA!

hello.

Kind of a dreary day here but not too cold. Nice for January. I've been out running around, now to get caught up here.

Legal - wow. sounds like a rough weekend foodwise. Hooray for no gain! :) ~ Have fun at tap.

Jul - Hello! Good to hear from you. I know exactly what you mean about losing yourself in all of your other roles. I am always struggling for that balance. ~ hooray on the 4 lb. loss. :D

Liz - you're doing so great about the not drinking. Particularly in light of all the temptation. pcos is polycystic ovarian syndrome. (spelling?) ~ Funny post about women.

Lauren - sorry you are still feeling bad. ~ I think it's a good idea to get all the running around done that you can if you feel up to it!

bye now.

Happy Monday All,

Didn't do so hot on the diet side this week, tomorrow will probably be ugly :( . Oh well, today is a new week and I WILL do better. I've just about got my water in for the day which hasn't been happening lately.

We went over to my parents on Sat. and my dad (big time junk collector) gave us a phone from the 1950's that he got out of the trash. My DH (big time geek) decided to fix it up and make it work, he need some assistance so checked out the internet, and lo and behold the phone is a "collectable" worth about $100. It now works and is sitting on the desk and my dad is ticked. I find the whole thing funny.

Meanwhile I've been quilting all weekend and my nephew's quilt is just about done. Only about 6 months late. Now onto UFO (unfinished object) number two. I figure I've got about 7 started quilts in my sewing room  So I've decied to work on finishing a few this winter, it's cheeper, and keeps the husband happier than starting another .

Anyway......

LBH - Hope you feel better soon.

Jul - Glad you could stop by. Congrats on the 4 lbs. I've done the "Artist's Way" and really enjoyed it. I've gotten away from it lately and keep meaning to get back....

Liz - Congrats on avoiding temptation!!! And getting to the gym.

BPB - Great going starting a new workout program, hope you can stick with it thru those 'sore muscle' stages.

Rabbit - Congrats on making it to the gym and so early !

LE - Sometimes staying the same is definately a good thing. Good luck getting back on track.

Karen - From the sounds of RR enjoy that sleep while you can. I love lazy snuggly mornings :D .

Well, should probably go start dinner.

Have a great week everyone!!!!

Hi All,

Feeling a tiny bit better again. Still hurts quite a bit when I move the wrong way, but I think it's slowly getting better. DH said the way to treat pulled muscles is to use them...not let them get stiff. Not work them, but at least stretch a bit and lightly use them. So I'm trying not to sit and veg on the sofa or anything. Cleaned the kitchen up this AM, did some laundry. Have a bunch of errands I have to do this afternoon.

Tech- Cool about the phone! I'm actually trying to get DH & I to unclutter and not be such pack rats!! Wasn't Aunt Flo just here? Hoping now that she's gone you'll be back on the losing track! Good luck with the UFO!

Rabbit- We had a day like that last week, it looked just dreadfully cold outside to look through the window, but it was actually like 40 something out.

Liz- That's a good one!

Have a great day all!

Hello Everyone,

I just got back from the doctor and Alex is doing great. :D

I've gained 5 1/2 pounds since getting pg (5 of which I had lost in the beginning!!).

Lauren: I'm glad that you are feeling better. Whoa, Thursday is day after tomorrow. Like only two days away. You are so calm. I hope I'm that calm when my time gets here. Natural? God Bless You. I'm at the stage of wanting every drug they will give me.

Tech: Cool on the phone. Good for you for getting the quilt done. I started one once but I never got it finished. I was just quilting over a pattern that was already in the material. I think I kept it a couple years and then threw it out during a move.

Liz: Good job staying away from the wine. Funny post!!

Gonna go take a shower. Have a great evening.

LBH
01-14-2003, 11:48 PM
Karen- I'm sure I'm only soo calm because I'm about 99.9% sure he's not coming on Thursday...or anytime soon for that matter!! I actually asked my mom today if she went into labor on her own with my brother (I was induced early because of pre-eclampsia), and she said she did. I was worried that maybe I won't go into labor on my own! She did say that she was about 2 wks. late with him, but she also said she wasn't positive on the correct EDD anyway! Great...how reassuring!
You're doing great on the weight! I always wished I had lost in the beginning, but I never did, because I was never sick. I'm not doing too bad, but not as good as I wanted to either. I've gained 29lbs., but haven't gained anything in a month. I didn't wanna pass 25lbs., but I'm OK with it right now, I've only gained in my stomach and boobs, nowhere else. :)

Hi all!

Well, I got on the scale again yesterday morning..."just to check" and it actually showed a little bit less than Monday morning. Still going to count Monday's weight as the "official" one, but at least I'm sure I didn't gain! I did really well on points Monday & even went for a walk. I went 1 point over yesterday and didn't walk, but still felt good about the day because I still had about 5 points from Monday left over. I'm doing well so far today & plan to walk tonight.

Liz - that's really cute!

Tech - that's cool on the phone! Quilting is something I've always wanted to learn to do, but I've never found the time. Maybe when the kids are grown and gone & I get a little more "me" time!

Lauren - hang in there! And get as much sleep as you can before Petey gets here!

karen - glad you got a good report at the Dr.'s office!

Rabbit - Have a safe drive taking DS back!

Guess that's all for today. Have a great day all!

Helllo Michelle,
We are 30 somethings all in the same boat to lose a little weight..We are on different programs and excercises but we post to help each other. U R always welcome to introduce yourself and post along with us..I am currently not really dieting...I had a baby 4 weeks ago soo mainly doing the breast feeding diet and starting to excercise now..My main excercise is running to my bed to sleep throughout the day since the baby doesnt sleep too good at night....The sticky just puts the current thread at the top for easy posting!!!!

Karen--Good luck on your sonagram!!!

Lauren-Keep us posted!!!!Make sure DH can post when U go into the hospital or U can call me!!!!

LE--Yeah..a little weight loss is better than none!!!!
I am thinking about the scale....I was 10-15 lbs up after I lost the first baby and got pg again in 2 months..only gained 14lbs but things have certainly shifted...I want to be back to 115lbs asap!!!

Rabbit--Yeah on the will power!!!!Keep it up!!!

Off to feed the baby!!!Have a great day all!!

Good Morning Everyone!!

I am nervously waiting until 11 for the sonogram. I've decided to worry.....what if he won't show his little heart? What if *shudder* there's something wrong with him?? Whew, the things we pg'ers can find to worry about. I'm sure everything will be fine.

Michelle: Sticky just makes that message "stick" to the top of the page so that it is easy to find. That way we can find the Week of thread which is where we do the most of our posting. We are over 30 after all and senility does start to set in.......... You are more than welcome here. Most here are doing weight watchers I think. A couple of us are pregnant so we aren't actively loosing right now. Welcome!!

Have a great day!!

Karen- Hope all goes well for you this AM! Stop stressing!! Yeah, I know, it's hard, but hey, you get a little peek at him!! :D

RR- I plan to make my phone list today. DH got a phone card for 180 min. as part of some class action suit with AT&T a couple wks. ago, so that was perfect timing! I am going to type up my list of phone numbers when I get home today. :D

OK, now I'm aggravated!! Nothing's going on, not a thing, no dilation, no effacing, softening...nothing!! He's moved down a little, which I knew, because his little baby butt looks lower, but that's it! He's not even in a station yet.

Have to go back Monday afternoon to get checked again. She said we could talk about "putting you on the schedule" then. WHAT?? Just cause I'm sick of being PG, I don't wanna be induced!! So she said sex and nipple stim now...

I broke out the breat pump and tried it out for the first time...that was a funky experience!!! But at least I got to practice before actually having to use it. Nothing's coming out yet, but man, what a sensation you get...too weird!! I only did each side for like 5 minutes, because someone said that using the pump can bring on pretty strong contractions quickly. That was a couple hours ago, nothing yet.

I'm headed to the mall now, hoping maybe a little walking will help too. *sigh*

Karen- Glad to hear all went well!! That's cool that he was being active during the U/S!

Rabbit- I said the same thing as I was sitting there with the pump...I really can't believe this day has gotten here. As much as I'm frustrated with no progress, it's still exciting that this is the day!! :D

Hi,
Thanks for the welcome! Sounds like a great group. Wow, how many of you are pregnant?

I went for the 2nd time today to Express Workout (like curves) and i was fine during the whole workout but the young girl who was there annoyed me. She never came to help me, watch me, coach me, she was on the phone most of the time. She didn't know who I was, or introduce herself. It was just me and her and I thought she could have put forth a little effort for my second workout......maybe it's just me. I got my period today, maybe i'm just crabby.

I had a periodontal appt. this a.m. so i didn't have breakfast before i left, but i did ok ordering out, i didn't have the biscuit with my bacon, egg and cheese and for lunch i had a taco salad, but still stayed on program.

Hi All,

Michele- Well, Vicki (RR) just had her daughter on 12/19, today is my due date, but my little man is very comfy in there, and Karen is due...in May, I think. There's plenty of us around that aren't PG, so please don't be turned off by us preggo's. I swear it's not contageous!! (Never mind that Karen and I both live in NJ, I swear I didn't pass it to her!!)
You know, when I was going to Curves, I was always annoyed at the girl that ran the place. She's like 5' 100lbs. and talked on the phone the whole time...never bothered with anyone! Yeah, especially since you were the only one there, she could've paid a little more attention!!

Well, I went and walked around the mall a bit, actually got paid to do it... some lady asked me to do a survey on crackers and I got paid $5.!! It wasn't soo bad, and I got a box of crackers to bring home...they're not bad.
After dinner I got out the pump and "milked" myself again, this time both at once for about 15 min., to see if that would give me any contrax...nothing yet. :( Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow.

Have a great evening all!

Oh, Lauren, I'm not turned off by you pregnant girls and I wish it could rub off. But I am divorced and not in a serious relationship so I'm still hoping I find the right man and start a family someday. My greatest wish is to have a baby someday! And congrats to all of you! :)

Oh, i forgot to mention, regarding what you said Lauren about the skinny girls bothering you at Curves. I know what you mean, i feel that way sometimes too but when I went with my mother to Curves (over the holidays in CA ), there was a girl like that, she was about 6" around, but Mom told me that she said something like, oh, ya, what does she have to lose? and the other girl told her that she had lost over 200 lbs. with diet and doing curves. So we can never judge, even the skinny girls may have had a weight problem.......... it opened my eyes is all i'm saying. ;)

Ok..maybe not sanitary..but sanity wise for mom..GREAT!!!!I slept 2 hr intervals last night which from 90minutes is great...I did the daycare interviews yesterday..The one I want...no openings till June..I will put her in where #2 went for 3 yrs..I know the people and they are great..THe other was right next to my job and opened at 5am..The convenient one is $165/week and the other is $95/week...The price ranges here are unbelievable and I cant figure out the differences...U still have to supply diapers and wipes no matter what the price....

Michele--There is always time for babies!!! I waited until age 37 to get married and then become a mother at 38!!!Even considering one more!!! I will have to check out curves..IT sounds like a nice place and there are several here...

Karen---Yeah on the sonagram!! DIdnt u have an amnio??? THat probably told u the exact sex also!!!More fun to see "it" though!!!
Good Luck to U!!!

Well..gotta run while Kaylee is asleep..We go for her 1 month checkup at 1pm today to be weighed soo cross the fingers that mom is BF correctly and she is growing!!!!!!I laugh, cuz with the baby monitor I have..I hear the cat meowing at the window through the speaker!!!Must be a good one!!!!

Hi,

I know that I still have time to have children. Sometimes I get anxious, especially when I watch The Baby Story or Maternity on TLC. But I take what God gives me. I know if it's gonna happen, it will in His time.

Are any of you Somersizers?

Eating my oatmeal and going to feed a bird (i'm pet-sitting), and then I will go work out even though I have cramps and not feeling great.....

Have a great day!:)

Hi All,-

So today would've been Niki's 17th birthday...that's my old dog, for those who remember...she's been gone for 2 yrs. (1/10), and yes, I still miss her a lot. I was really hoping that Peter would decide to come today, what a wonderful thing it would be to have my new baby, Peter, born on my old baby, Niki's, birthday! (Am I sounding pathetic yet...sorry!) I guess it could still happen, but I'm not holding out!!

Michele- You know, it's hard to think like that, but you're right, you never know! I don't think this girl was ever fat though, she'd always have DD coffee, and donut or something fattening. Any woman with half a brain that used to be fat, and now was skinny, would never sit around on the phone with donuts and coffee while we're busting our butts exercising, ya' know?! I did like Curves though, and they recently opened a new one about a mile from my house, so I may join again on a monthly basis in the Spring.

I'm trying desperately today to get the nesting bug to kick in!! I thought that was just supposed to happen in the last month of PG?! I've been nesting in my dreams for months!! Then I wake up to the same darn mess! Can you believe I don't even have my hospital bag packed?! Peter's has been packed for a month or so, but I haven't started mine!! I must do that today, since DH finally got my suitcase out of the shed. I don't have anymore excuses...except that I need to do a load or two of laundry!!

Anyway, have a great day all!! :D

hi.

I maintained last night at weigh in, as I suspected. Frustrating, but that's the way it goes. I'm hoping for a big loss next week. :^:

Karen - good news about your ultrasound. :)

Lauren - how's it going today? I didn't know that about the pump and contractions. Interesting. And get that bag packed!

Mitchy - that young girl doesn't sound like much of an employee.

RR - 3 hours, woohoo!

have a super day. And healthy.

Rabbit (that's an interesting name or nickname, care to share with me?)- you are right, she doesn't seem like much of an employee. The girl i signed up with was there this a.m. and I told her what happened. She wasn't surprised, she said she's young, 19, and the manager's daughter and doesn't really want to be there. (and she shouldn't be). She was disappointed i had to experience that and said she'd say something... I know i was young once and i worked with the public and i didn't act like that? Another generation i guess.....

Oh, this is so off topic, but i have to tell someone. I've been in school full-time and i was worried about a final class grade in geology because his tests were so hard. I had to take my final after the holidays so i've been waiting for my grade. I was hoping to pull a C and worried i wouldn't, and he emailed me and said i got a B!!!!!!1:smug: I'm just so happy!

Had a good workout today! Enjoying a decaf nonfat latte now!

Michele- Congrats on the test!!! That's awesome!! :cb: :high: Hmm, it must be a thing, the girl at Curves by me is the owner's daughter!! Definintely a different generation...I worked retail from 18-25 or so, and honestly, it brought me out of my shell! I was very shy all through school, and working with the public, I had no choice but to talk to them and deal with them! I think parents are just not teaching their kids plain good manners, ya' know?

Rabbit- Better luck next week. You had that big loss last week, right? And next week, you'll make up for it!

So I'm a little slow getting going, but I've got my 2nd load in the washer, all my clothes are sorted, and I got some stuff hung up and put away. I can't believe it's almost 1:00 already!!

Hi guys!!

Whoa, Alex has been quiet all day and then I sit down with the lap top and he's kicking so hard the laptop is jumping!! It feels so weird.

I got some sad news last night. My dad's mom passed away. We weren't close so I'm not upset, just sad. Part of the sadness is because she was my granny and we weren't close. The other part is because I hurt for my Dad.

Michele: I also did Curves prior to pg. I really loved it. Technically I could still be doing it but I wasn't comfortable with some of the machines. They would sorta squish the baby!! At my place the girl was SO busy she didn't have time to interact with people. It had just opened and I think the owner just dumped it on her and she was trying to stay up with everything. I'm from TX originally and as we would say down there: "She was as busy as a one legged man in a butt kicking contest!!".

Lauren: Just relax!! Quit trying to force him out. You know what they say about a watched pot!! (Oh, feel free to remind me of all my sage advice when my turn comes!!) Maybe he is snug and warm in there and needs a little more time in the oven. As DH would say, maybe he's still a little soft in the middle. :D That's what he's always saying about Alex anyway. That he's still soft in the middle.

Rabbit: Maybe a maintain isn't great news, but it IS better than a gain!! I still think you are turning to muscle 'cause you are working out.

RR: Are you still going to work the two jobs? I've got a line on a private babysitter that only charges 105/wk and doesn't charge for days that baby isn't there. I'm hoping to be able to get him in with her but I won't know for a while yet.

We have some auctions ending tonight on EBay so I gotta go check out the camcorder we put up for sale. Neither one of us thought to check it out before  . What a couple silly people. Have a great weekend!!

Hi All,

DH is making the eggplant parm recipe tonight (did i tell ya'll about that??) He just gave me some to try because he doesn't think I'll be able to handle it...it has crushed red pepper in it. So I got a little on the end of my tongue...:yikes:...turns out he screwed up and put 1 T. of the pepper, not 1 tsp.!! So now he's making a new batch! I guess we'll be having it for lunch or dinner tomorrow, instead of tonight!!

RR- Have you posted any new pics of Kaylee? I'm starting to have withdrawals...I need to see more pics!! :D

Karen- Yes, I'll remember all that advice when you're 40 wks.!! Hopefully you won't be overdue! What were you thinking selling your camcorder?! Thankfully DH has a camcorder, and now we have the new digital. I'm sorry to hear about your granny, even if you weren't close to her. It was same for me with my dad's mother. We were never close, she had one son and that was it, and she favored my brother much more...she didn't know what to do with a girl!

Oh, update on my car...finally I can pick it up tomorrow! It's been at the dealership since 12/19!! They had to replace the intake manifold gasket, water pump, flush the engine oil and coolant systems, rear defog module, and a wheel bearing that they just replaced in September!! The hold up was the extended warranty company approving it all. They didn't want to pay for the flush. So I argued with them and finally got the dealership and the warr. people talking and they covered it all. (I hate doing other people's jobs!) So a job that would've cost over 1000 or so is costing me around $120. I have to pay a $50 deductible and tax on the whole job. Thank God!!

Have a great evening all!

Hello All,

I'm sorta back. K's put the "new" computer together on Wed. and has been loading in all the software since then. I swear if I have to hear him :censored: about Microsoft and other software much longer I might scream. Hey but it keeps him out of trouble.

Did pretty well at WW on Tuesday, I lost a pound. Went mall walking with the folks this morning. Been battleing a cold for the last week so I didn't do so well, about halfway thru I got really light headed and felt like I was going to fall down. Wasn't out of breath though :?: My sister joked I was PG I told her to bite her tongue that wasn't even funny. (plus I just finished TOM last Sun so I don't think that's it).

While at the mall I was so excited this candle sculpture thingy I'd wanted but couldn't justify spending $120 on was on sale 75% off  So I bought it. Let's hope K likes it.

Rabbit - Congrats on the maintain, definately better than a gain.

Karen - Sorry about your grandma. Cool about the sonogram.

RR - Hang in there soon you'll be sleeping thru the night. I thought I'd be in you're neck of the woods, K's teaching a class and I thought I'd cash in FF miles and tag along. But it's not going to work out :(, could have used a mini-vacation.

LBH - I just have to share a story about when my mom was pg. With me they induced labor and she swore she was never having that again, so with my sister she was running late and had heard castoroil helped, so she tried it, she doesn't know if it helped but she went into labor and it was painfull and she said she wasn't doing that again, so with my other sister she just waited and guess what she was the same # of days late exactly! So I guess it was just here time. Anyway what I'm trying to say is just hang in there, Petey will come in his own good time.

Michele - Welcome!! Congrats on the test score, and the working out even when you don't want to :).

Sorry if I missed anyone. Have a great weekend all!!!

Hi all,

Having a perfectly yucky Saturday here. I have DH's cold and I'm miserable. I can't breathe and my eyes keep watering so I can't really see. Waahhh. OK, enough complaining.

RR: What beautiful pictures!! I love the bath time one. She certainly is a cutie.

Lauren: I'm glad that you are getting your car back. I have that extended warranty thing. I hope I never have to use it though!! I would hate having to fight for what should be yours anyway.

Tech: I know what you mean about DH's and complaining about Microsoft. Mine is a computer guy and WHEW!! sometimes the air is positively blue around here. I keep asking him why he buys it if they are so bad and then I get the they are the only ones who do so and so....lecture. Yum!!

Have a great evening!!

Hi All,

I'm still here. Figures.... I have to relate a really funny, probably TMI story. DH & I decided to engage in some FEEP to try and help things along this AM...well, it was funny enough to begin with, but just as we were figuring it out, Zeus (the cat), who was sitting in the doorway, puked!! Of course we both lost it and were laughing hysterically. Even the cat was repulsed at what we were trying to do!! Needless to say, I'm back to the breastpump and eggplant!

DH finished the eggplant last night and we had it for lunch today. Turned out pretty good, but I think I'd have to have the eggplant peeled next time, and maybe the seeds taken out. I'm soo darn picky! DH loved it though. In fact, we're going to my mom's with some of it for dinner tonight! Hopefully that and the full moon will get things going!

RR- Those are cutie patootie pics of Kaylee! :D Her hair is very blonde! I'm afraid Petey is gonna grow out of his feetie things quickly too! That's why I tried to get stuff with separate booties! Where did you buy your package from? I'd love to do that, but we'll probably just have his friend Lorenzo do them. He's a professional photographer. Can't wait to see the new pics! I have always loved little kids in sailer suits.

Tech- Glad to have you back! Hope DH's BP hasn't gone through the roof working on the PC! Congrats on the loss. Out of breath was probably just your body getting back into it after being sick. I don't think I'll be taking any castor oil. There's just too much risk of him passing meconium and then having breathing problems and all at birth if he does. I'd rather just be patient!

Went and picked up my car this AM...it's still making the same darn noise! I'm going to call them Monday AM and complain. At least I'm home now, and I can go up there and take someone for a ride and point it out. It was actually making some other knocking type sound when I first started driving, I thought I had a flat or something, but I think it was just something from sitting too long and the cold weather and all. So DH said he'll drive it and I can continue to drive his truck if I want. I had to pay $120. for it today. I know it's gonna need brakes soon too, so there's another big bill coming up. May see if my cousin can fix them for me though. Then there's the tire issue... It never ends.

Have a great evening all!

Popping in to say hi. Dh & I have been out running around. We're going out to dinner tonight with friends.
