Hello all silly me posted on IE #13 did not see IE#14! Carol, I find that I do much better with weight loss when I skip the diet drinks, I started drinking water with lemon at meals out and milk with meals at home, I was drinking lemonade, but now with having been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes I try and stay away from the sugary drinks.

This morning I was doing the WATP DVD 3mi. and when I was done I was so tired. I took my bp and it was 92/60 with an average reading 111/68. I don't take bp meds anymore either, just a passionflower pill at night. I was wondering what was going on. I don't know much about bp and exercise.

Here's an interesting thread. Someone is tired of counting calories and wants to wean off that and go to something else. A few people talk about intuitive eating too.

I read that too, Becky, but didn't think anyone was very positive about IE. Maybe I missed something.

One thing I'm noticing about exercise is that it is making me hungry!!!

Hi all. Hope you all are doing well. Eating getting back to normal following our Market trip to Dallas, weighing in in the morning. Blood sugar was high this morning, know the cause, need to eat less starches at night. Hope you all have a blessed evening.

I agree. That's probably what I found interesting, that several had negative reactions to IE.

I noticed after a couple weeks of longer exercise that my appetite has gone back to normal. I would like to read something about that.

I just came across this thread mentioning my post about getting away from calorie counting. I was a bit bothered by how many people shot it down and defended calorie counting. If the thread had been posted in 'Calorie Counters' sub-forum then maybe I could understand, but some seemed almost offended that I wasn't happy with the method. I was asking for advice but people kind of ignored that and just went on about how it was a dumb idea.

Have you all had much success with IE? In my eyes, it sounds like the most natural and maintainable way to go.

ahyessophie. This is the only WOE that has ever worked for me and I'm 62. I lost from 195 down to 149 and have kept it there for a couple years. Today I went to McDonalds and got a happy meal. I can no longer eat a larger size. I also went to Culvers and got a mocha almond fudge kids cone and it wasn't really that good. My DH makes way better home made ice cream.

A quick flyby to let you know I am still here. SIL got the job he interviewed for last week in Charlotte and has to start training Aug 5th. This changes plans so that they will be moving in here in 2 weeks. So will be getting busier. Looks like DD may be attending nursing school in Charlotte starting in October. So DH and I will be babysitting the baby during the day and getting the other 3 to and from school. Life will be busy and interesting.

Went to the doctor today and waiting for report on thyroid tests. He agreed for me to up my Metformin to 2Xs a day. I tried starting Atkin's Induction but just can't do all that protein. I think I'll just be doing low carb and make it a point to eat no processed foods or starchy carbs.

Y'all have a good evening.

carolr3639 - that's really encouraging to hear. Did you have much of a learning curve? How long did it take you to lose it?

It was pretty slow but I've been on and off prednisone for a number of years. Been off for 2 years now. I guess when I finally decided that it didn't matter how long it took that I started losing. I could lose another 20 to be back to my weight before children, we have ten, but I am pretty content now. I just started doing WATP and maybe this will help. I do notice that my appetite got bigger when I started that.
