Default Hi, I'm new here.

Hi everyone, My name is Jessica and I just found this site and I am quite glad I stumbled upon it

Let me start off by saying I had reached 260 when I was 17 and by the time I was 18 I dropped down to 130 and was a size 3. About a year later I became pregnant and was put on bed rest and ended up being 170 after delivery, which I was quite fine with. Over the years I kind of gave up and stopped caring about my weight and what I looked like and reached 200, shortly after this I became pregnant with my second son and reached 258 after delivery.

Again I was faced with loosing weight and started going to the gym and cutting out carbs and fats, I went from 250 in June 2010 to 193 by December 2010. In December I was faced with surgery for my gallbladder where they thought I had a tumor on my gallbladder, turns out it was a false alarm. In January this year I started to work out again and noticed a lot of pain in my tibia bone which they found a tumor, I was diagnosed with Osteoid Osteoma which is a non-cancerous bone tumor that hurts..A LOT. I went from 193-220 in only 5 months I feel like yet again I am backpedaling and I am discouraged more and more each day. I am able to work out again but I'm scared of the pain in my leg so I try and go slowly. I am just here for support and to meet others in the same journey.

I'm 23 and I have been on a diet since I was 12, I feel like I have failed a lot but I am working on that.

Anyways hello, I look forward to joining you all and successfully completing the journey for once and all

Welcome to 3fc!

I'm sorry to hear about the medical issues you've faced. You should definitely check out the thread here called Dieting with Obstacles -- it's meant for people who are facing similar kinds of physical challenges that impede their weight loss.

And I wouldn't say you've failed a lot, because you have lost weight in the past and every time you've regained you've gotten right back on track to return to what's healthy for you. That's hard. So good for you for having the strength and will-power to do it!

I hope you find what you're looking for here. The site is filled with an absolutely fantastic bunch of people.

Welcome to 3FC =)

There's no such thing as failure in weight loss unless we quit forever. You haven't!

One day at a time. Healthy, sustainable changes. You can do this =)

You're only 23!!! How could you be a failure? :P

I've also had some bone related difficulties - not cancer - but still it imeded my exercise and I gained quite a bit over the 3 years of surgery on one of my knees. I great way to get back into exersie might be swimming, as it takes pressure off the body you're children might even want to go swimming with you? I remember I did quite a bit of hydrotheraphy, mostly to get my leg working so I could walk properly, but yeah a great place to start. Another is just walking for a minimum for an hour a day, get more strength and pain tolerance. If you're beyond that then forget what I'm saying! But there's always a way! Good luck!
