Ok so I will be 38 on July 24th, exactly 5 weeks from today. I would love to be in onderland by then. I can do it! I would love to have a few buddies to join me on my birthday challenge. I am doing WW but am open to anyone who would like to come along for the ride. This time is different from all the other times I have tried to lose weight, I feel really motivated.

I have not been 199 since around 2000. Won't you join me??:carrot::carrot:

I am in for a 5 week challenge! And i wish you all the luck on getting to your mini goal by your birthday! I would love to be down to 230 by your birthday! so that means 13 pounds in 5 weeks. Sundays sound great for weigh ins!

Wow! how awesome is your goal?!? congratulations! Good for you!! :bravo: I'd love to join in if I can, it'd be nice to be part of a support group! :hug: I have an event around the same time as your birthday (:joker: comic-con!!!) I am currently at: 180 and would love to be 165 by the end of it at least.. So, that makes it about 3 pounds a week i have to loose. Here's to working hard and staying motivated!! :hat:

What diet plans are you all following?

Are you exercising?

How much water do you drink on a daily basis?

I'm doing my own thing with a low carb/low fat/high protein diet via calorie counting (which is also kept low). I try to exercise for at least 30 minutes every day (I'm doing 30 Day Shred and c25k, as well as various gym classes, though since I'll be beginning a long, cross-country move starting the 1st, how much exercise I get may well be drastically reduced). As for water, I drink at least 48 ounces a day, usually more.

I just started doing Weight Watchers this past Friday. I really haven't been exercising all that much lately, but my plan is to do Tae Bo 3 days per week and walk on the treadmill 2 days per week. As for water, it really varies for me. I tend to drink anywhere between 48-80 oz. I'll see this Friday how well my plan is working, as that will be exactly a week since I started my plan.

I'm calorie-counting-ish, low-carb-ish, mostly just being sensible.

I run 2-3 times a week, do workouts from 2-3 times a week, and sometimes throw in other cardio (exercise DVDs or the elliptical). I want to start riding my bicycle to work 2 times a week also.

I think I need to work on drinking more water... now that I'm eating less I seem to need more of it but I don't particularly like water so I don't drink enough (or drink too much coffee).

I am a Calorie Counter and I drink a ton of water. I am planning on jogging about 5 days a week.

Today is my 7th consecutive day of exercising! I am about to leave for the gym actually. I am calorie counting and eating mostly fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins. The special K protien shakes are great for a mini meal, only 190 calories a bottle and they keep you full! I did great on my diet today, had banana-nut cherrios for breakfast (low cal cereal), arugala salad for lunch along with pita chips and hummus, and a bowl of rice and veggies for dinner! but i had a special k protein shake in the gap between breakfast and lunch.

hope everyone is doing well on their diets and exercise plans!!!

Had a special K protein shake for breakfast, a salad with italian dressing for lunch, and a lowfat tuna sandwhich for dinner...why does that make me feel guilty? that's only about 900 calories. I just wanna run to the gym and work it all off. Im starting to think im getting a little OCD about the whole diet thing =[ what should i do ladies? I wanna meet my goals as fast as possible, but i dont want to become unhealthy about it.

ClaireBear - I think you should talk to your doctor and possibly a nutrionist. Your body REQUIRES a certain amount of cals to function at a healthy level.

I have heard if you eat too few calories it can cause your weight to stall. You definitely have to get a minimum number of calories. Take care of yourself.

I talked with myntrainer at the gym and she set me straight. I'm eating all the best foods to bring me right up to my calorie budget everyday :)

I'll try to match you 12 pounds in 5 weeks, too! I don't have any specific mini goals right now except to keep losing at the rate I have been - about 1% - 2% per week. This will help keep me on track on the "aggressive" side of the scale.

6-19 - 190
6-26 - 187 - (this was a GREAT week! Thanks for the challenge!)
7-2 - 185 ( posted Saturday's weight because I would be away from my scale on Sunday)
7-10 - 182
7-17 - 180.2

My birthday is right by yours on the 29th and I want, will be at goal by then.

I have the exercise thing down...that's not my problem.
It's the eating for me. I don't particularly like tracking. I can do it and have done it but it's so tedious to me and I get lazy and just don't like doing it.

But I know I can do it. I just need to start adding more fruits/veggies in at every meal.

Okay, So I'm working on the eating thing.
I definitely had more veggies/fruits today.

1/2 banana with breakfast
1/2 apple for a snack
cucumbers for snack while making lunch
salad with lunch
green beans with dinner friend wanted something cold and ice creamy and I gave in and got something too. A rolo blizzard-snack size. 400 calories. Still in a good calorie range for the day though. No more snacks for me tonight though!!

Hi i am up 3 pounds this week, ugh! Not losing hope tho will keep chugging along. I gave in to a few temptations this week and I had 3 functions to attend. I grossly underestimated the amount of points that I ate. The victory is that I still went and weighed in even tho I knew I had gained. Hope this week is better!!

I forgot the password to my account so I had to re-do it. This time I wrote the password! One thing I have learned at 3fc is not to give up. Normally when I'm trying and I don't see results I give up, this time I did give in for a week and had one heck of a pity party but now I'm back. So even tho im a little shy of being at onderland like I had hoped I still feel like a winner!!!! Thanks 3FC!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I started at 190.0 and ended at 177.2, so I lost 12.8 pounds - just a bit over my goal. Thanks for helping me stay on track for these 5 weeks. Time flies by so quickly!
