Hiya Me1st! Welcome! You'll probably fit right in with this ragtag platoon because unless I'm mistaken, that photo you included has crotch-shot of some super hero off to one side?!?!?! Well then...

Nice...Sarge can sleep tonight knowing the platoon has found their way here. Thank god we packed flashlight batteries in our duffel bags.

Get some shut eye, especially you newbs! We got miles to trek in the morning!

I know it's a new thread, but I was right in the middle of typing when Big Brother shut down the other one. Was trying to send Chickadee my love. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband.

I decided to change things up by doing the elliptical tonight. It felt like I was working just as hard as I do on the treadmill, but when I plugged in my armband monitor it showed a ton less time in the "vigorous" range then I had the last 2 days. So I stuck it back on, got on the treadmill and knocked out another 20 minutes to meet my daily "vigorous exercise" goal. Even though no one but me will ever see the graphs, I can't stand the thought of falling short of the goal line. This little gadget is so motivating!

Evening check in, tired after today, a little lighter on the miles today, 3 biking and 6.2 walking (9.2 total) and 58.9 on the week.

One more day of work this week, i'm ready for the weekend although i will probably be just as busy.

GOOD MORNING PLATOON!!!!!

Happy Friday! It's sales meeting day at work so I won't have time to go get on the treadmill at lunch. The salesfolks will be surrounding my desk asking me questions all day. They also feed us on sales meeting Fridays. Hmmm...Friday....Fry Day....fried food upstairs at noon day. sheesh! The office is trying to sabogate me! Pass me the fruit tray!!!!! Avoid the fried temptation! They had breakfast for us too. I avoided the fatty bacon and sausage and stuck with the fresh fruit, lowfat vanilla yogurt, an egg biscuit, and orange juice.

This weekend is going to be a tough one. It's our anniversary and we are already planning a trip to Red Lobster for dinner on Sunday night. Tonight we're going to a biker bar to see my dad's band play...and there will probably be drinking and eating of the bar food while there. And Saturday night we're getting together at my mom's house for gyoza (a Japanese dish...very yummy but not so healthy because it's fried but she hasn't made it in 10 years). So I am anticipating a....gain this week because of all of the celebrating and partying in my plans.

Courtney, don't go into this weekend anticipating a gain! That's a sure fire way to get off track and off plan. Yes, you should be able to celebrate and have fun but why do you have to drink and eat the bar food at the biker bar? Why not stick to just a couple of gyoza and bring along a healthy dish to share with everyone? Why not face the weekend with a plan to fit in extra workouts to balance against the extra/unhealthier food? You're missing today's lunch workout because of work duties, but what are you going to do to make up for that?

Anticipating weight gain instead of planning to enjoy yourself and manage the consequences makes peanutt's eyes bleed.

Tried to post it for you but it wouldn't copy, so I'll describe it. It's a box with this big fat line across the middle, and if your bar is above the line you feel like a winner, and if your bar is below the line you feel like a lazy turd. Hence the motivation to get off your butt and get above the line.

Sarge! Come stand on me! My weight is up again this morning, after an entire week of eating almost exactly 1600 calories a day, I'm at 206.4. Although, comparatively, I had a massive spike over last weekend for no reason at all and was at 209.6. So I guess I've lost since Monday morning, but still.

WHY is it so difficult to get out of the 200's? I have been stuck here for months, literally. I'm thinking if I don't start seeing a downward trend in the next few weeks, I'm going to schedule a doctor's appointment. Maybe something's wrong. Whatever it is, I just want to figure it out. I know that I just started the higher calorie thing on Monday, so I'm definitely going to give that a shot and let things ride for a bit.

I'm still working out A LOT. My clothes are fitting better (which makes noooooo sense at all). I'm happy unless I weigh myself.

Peanutt - Are you coming to Calgary? I was considering going to the Comicon too but I never know anybody geeky enough to go :-)

I completed C25k's W5D3 yesterday. Wooot!!!! 20 minutes running with no excuses! I quit like 10 times in my head but never really followed through with it. I wanted to see how far I can push myself and then the 20 minutes were over. YAAAYYY! I could have done another 10 I think. Isn't the body amazing? My reward after this? My belt is down to the next hole today. :-)) I am going pants shopping (again) this weekend!!!
