Gale- stay strong - you can do this !!
Up 0.8 - totally bamboozled my weight has been up and down like a yoyo, and I have stayed true to my plan with no major deviations, so I'm out of ideas. Seems my body wants to be at the goal I originally set, and not in the 140's like I want !
I need to shake things up a bit - but not sure how. So far this month I've lost 2 measly pounds I am certain there is more to lose.....

Good Morning, Everyone! TGIF! I hope you have great Friday and fantastic weekend! Enjoy!

Wow! Things have gotten really ugly over here! The food I had last night for dinner was really salty, again. So, here we are, TTOM is ending, I went to a Japanese restaurant this week and had really salty food last night. Not a pretty sight! I am so glad for the maintenance range that I set up for myself. My calories yesterday were good and I exercised. I try to avoid the sodium as much as I can, but stuff happens. That's all I can do. I suspect I will do some serious peeing sometime soon.

Calories for yesterday: 1440 +

Weigh In: 149.2 (TTOM)

Up: 1.8

Hi, I'm alive. Life has been insane here. Some of it is good (gettin a new car, new to me anyhow: a 2006 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T that only has 35,000 miles on it, a V8 Hemi, amazing crash test results in the real world, and a back seat that will hold 3 teenagers if I need it to) and some is not good (I thought for a minute there I might be getting a new divorce, but we're good now) and some of it just is (been working on getting the garden in). The bad parts including the hubby issues sent me completely off plan for a while there. I even ate at IHop two days in a row! I have been back on plan for a few days now as far as my food goes. The busy busy busy has kept me from the gym a lot this month. For the first time this year there are more days this month that I have no worked out than days that I have. Grrr! On the bright side, the house is about 2-5 more hours away from being ready for the homestudy (the inside anyhow, we still have some yard stuff that needs clearing away to include some storm damage that still needs tending).

That got long, whew! Today I am 176 (down from a high of 181.8 right after I finished being completely off plan).

I will never catch up on everything, but I did at least skim through quickly and I do have to say:

Starbrite - on reaching goal and the new job!

Vixsin - I like the hair, cute!

Eclipse - on making it to goal!

JamiSue - for not morbidly obese. I remember that day, that was a good one. Who wants their body to be labeled morbid?

Everyone - and

And now I am off to the gym!

17 215.2 (+8) Calories: TBA eaten - TBA exercise = TBA

Oh it's an ugly morning here as well. Yes I've committed the sin of sodium many times over in the last week...but a 5lb gain in 5 days...c'mon! Of course TTOM showed up this morning, so that could have something to do with it. I'm taking accountability for the sodium, the high calorie days, the lack of exercise...but please, I did not eat 17,500 calories above my daily burn this week!

Back in a bit for personals...

OMG I am so sore today, legs are screaming. I did a few squats and my ankle felt fine, so I decided hey I'll throw some Bob in the DVD player, get taht 20 minute small routine in and do a 30 minute hike on the treadmill.
My quads are NOT happy about it . . . then again they probably are since they havent been worked like that in a while.

I forgot how much I really do love exercising, and I love that sweat you build up . . . haven't decided if that's gross and weird or just awesome LOL

Vix - I officially throw down and challenge you!! I don't know how we'd even set that up, distance? Time jogged? If it's actually straight jogging time I need to build up the stamina to catch up LOL. But I'm game.

Jami - Join on in with the throw down!! a BIG congrats to you for the milestone!!

Angie - Are youi keeping up with the incline walks? You def didn't eat that many calories, keep on top of your water and watch it go away, you can do it!!

I'll bbl . . . . another breakfast meeting to attend, grrrrrrr, at least I saw a fruit tray go in

Morning

WI@ 187.0 today! gutted out and i mean gutted.. out a 2 mile run non-stop + walked 1 mile Zumba was fun last night, feels like i haven't had any good rest in days.

Way-to-go Gale you won that round get ready to rumble for round 2! but on your mental toughness and beat those eating demons down

Jamie glad you guys had a nice time. thanks,it was fun.

Diana,have a wonderful day

Fight for what you want Star I've "had" those same thoughts too. like.. I'm i suppose to weight in the 180's range

I know I'm solid and big-boned..read somewhere that if a person can't loss anymore(no matter how hard they try) then that's the weight they're suppose to be at or something like that...IDK

but... whatever..We're gonna push our bodies are hard as we can/eat according to the life we want to live and just see what's the real deal

Starbrite -- Hang in there! In terms of shaking things up, is there a new type of exercise you'd be interested in trying? Maybe a healthy cooking class or something to get some new ideas for good on plan meals? Are you counting calories?

Diana -- Hi I'm Angie and I'm a sodium-a-holic Sodium will be the ruin of me I swear. I also have a sodium/TOM combo happening here...not pretty at all! I'm hoping to pee the day away as well..I hear asparagus helps

Roxy -- Sounds like this month has been really tough on you, and I'm glad to hear you are in a better place emotionally now. Good luck with the last few hours of prep for your home study.

April 2011 - Lost 2.2 lbs

2: 270.1 (-1.1)
3: 270.1 (-0.0)
4: 268.7 (-1.4)
5: 267.4 (-1.3)
6: 268.3 (+0.9)
7: 267.2 (-1.1)
8: 267.9 (+0.7)
9: 267.2 (-0.7)
10: 265.9 (-1.3)
11: No WI (-0.0)
12: 268.1 (+2.2)
13: 270.7 (+2.6)
14: 268.3 (-2.4)
15: 265.9 (-2.4)
16: 263.7 (-2.2)
17: 263.2 (-0.5) TOTAL LOST -9.4

So happy things worked out how they did yesterday because that means I was able to WI today and guess what?!?! I MET MY NEXT MINI GOAL!!! 10% GONE FOREVER!! So freakin' happy and bit teary because I did it. I did it with my own will and your support! THANK YOU!

Starbrite -- You could be right...maybe your body is happy wear its at. What's behind wanting to be lower? Although, you said "no major deviations." A 0.8 gain isn't a major gain so maybe the minor deviations are enough? Maybe it's depending on what type of food the deviations are with? Obviously sodium is one but too much protein could be another culprit. But you've also been working out crazy so maybe it truly is muscle gain. Just trying to through some ideas out there. You're a pro...you'll find the answer somewhere!

Diana -- Yikes! Since it's sodium, you'll get back where you need to be fast. I'm seeing that this Japanese restaurant seems to be your nemesis!

Veronica -- YAY!!!

Roxie -- Boo plateaus! You'll break through...keep with it!

Roxy -- Oh Roxy! I'm so sorry! You and your husband have had a lot going on with the tornados hitting so close to home and preparing your house for the munchkins...that can pile on a lot of stress. I'm SO happy you've been able to step back and let things calm down. BIG HUGS!! We're so happy to have you back in one piece!

Angie -- I've only recently begun to realize how quickly my body will retain water...even with just tiny over indulgences with sodium. And if I do that, day after day, I gain just like you did. I gained 4.8 lbs in JUST 3 days last week! But I dug in, drank my water, minded my calories carefully and it came back off in two. Whew! You can do it!!!

Coondocks -- Wow! You really brought it yesterday! GREAT job! No, thanks on joining the challenge...I'm still not ready to try running but I sure am gonna enjoy watching you two go at it!

Mine is a LONG one this morning! WOW!! Sorry for that. LOL

Hi GirlyGirl!!! I missed you! I was thinking about you yesterday and meant to post it. I'm really happy to hear about how the house is coming along for the homestudy. I am really excited to hear about that. I am interested in adoption. Not yet because of starting school in September, but possibly after im used to that after a couple of years. I know I want to expand my family, but I also know that I don't think I want to be pregnant again. The biggest reason is because I am adopted. I want to give someone that same chance given to me. And my Maxwell would LOOOOOOOVE to have someone else around. I really look forward to hearing about this journey for you. I'm sorry about the turbulence with the hubs, sending you thoughts of positive, healthy, open communication for the 2 of you. Congrats on the new ride!

Shylah: Hang in there and keep up the clean eating. Force that scale to move! You can do it!

Veronica: I must have missed you joining somewhere along the line! This is a great place! We're glad to have you!

Diana: Sorry about all that silly sodium and of course TOM doesn't help either!!!! Thankfully, you're keeping yourself on plan and doing what you can do. You show us all time and time again that consistency IS the key. Thank you for that.
____________________________

As for me, I am up another .2 to 189.6. Ahh...I do love this dance. I am exhausted this morning. Only slept 5ish hours. I also worked out a little yesterday and feel rather achey today. It's rainy today and I'd like to curl up under my desk and take a little nap. But let me tell you WHY that scale doesn't bother me even in the SLIGHTEST!!!

I am officially declaring yesterday to be "Vixsin Humanitarian NSV Day"...next year I vote that we have a parade!

1. I found a "free clothes" sale at the spaghetti supper last night and got 6 or 7 tshirts, a few shirts for work, a couple of sweatshirts, and 3 pairs of shorts for the boy and 2 tshirts and a sweatshirt for him....ALL for free. WIN!!!!!

2. A family (client) of ours here at my job was affected by the recent tornado and we set up our conference room with all of the donations we received and that family was able to come into the office and get some much needed stuff like comforters, dishes, pots and pans, you name it, we had it and there's more stuff on the way, so we'll be able to give to our other families as well. BIG, BIG WIN!!

3. That same family came to MY house last night and picked up things that I had for them. They got from me: a full size bed - mattress, box spring, and frame, a coffee table and end table set, more pots and pans, and some dishes. My son got to meet them. I explained to him what I was doing and why they were taking our stuff. I think he dug it. HUGE PARENTAL WIN!!!

4. Back to the clothes, 2 HUGE NSV's happened for me. I now fit into a Mens tshirt size MEDIUM. and today I am wearing a womens size LARGE!!! I've said it before and it's appropriate now, I've never been this girl before and HOLY COW is it great getting to know her!!! I totally blame you guys and my 2 main threads for getting me and helping keep me here! I love you guys!

Take THAT, scale!!!!!! HA!!!

{sticks her tongue out at the scale and skips away}

Coon: Rocking that workout last night! Nice! I am totally up for the challenge. I vote we do distance. Start it off with getting a mile in twice a week. We can up the distance every week by like a 1/4 mile every week. What do you think?
