Does anyone else notice how small Lane Bryant's bootcut jeans run? I bought a 16 because my old 18s are too big and I am in 16s in other stores. They are SUPER tight in the waistband...like, way too tight to even think of wearing in public. I bought a pair of 14s too so I would have them when I got down to smaller than a 16. My sister wears a 10 or a 12 in clothes (mostly from the GAP). She tried the 14s on and couldn't button them. I then held the 14s up to her size 10 jeans from the GAP and the 14s were like 2 inches smaller in the waist. Her size 12 pair of shorts had the same size waistband as my 16s from lane bryant What is that about?? I know that they will stretch out some but not that much in the waistband. When we looked at the 14s compared to her 10s, we decided that the 14s would be the same as an 8 in GAP. I am not sure if I should even keep them. I am not sure if I will ever get that small. Have any of you noticed this?? Why would a plus sized store make their jeans run a couple of sizes small?? It doesn't make any sense to me at all. (very frustrating!)

For the most part, I have done the same thing. I shop at the Gap, Ann Taylor, Old Navy and some at Banana Republic and Target right now. However, I am very tall and LB seems to have jeans that fit my length the best. I don't buy any other clothes there anymore. Even if I see something cute, I don't buy it because their stuff is way overpriced for what you get and also I think it is out of principal that I don't have to shop there.. haha! The jeans are the only thing I still shop there for(and some panties and bras too). I find their jeans really flattering( when they actually fit) and they are some of the only ones I have ever found that are long enough for me
I'm with everyone else. I stopped shopping there once I was out of 16's. I DO miss their bras there but they don't sell 34 band size so I'm still on the look out for a good balconette bra replacement, sigh...
I saw take them back and pick up a pair at old navy or something, you'll probably end up with money in your pocket from that exchange.
Sizes drive me nuts- I'm wearing everything from a 14 to a 10 at the moment.
You might try Eddie Baur for jeans that are long enough. I'm 5'9 and Levi talls fit me just about right. So I got some EB talls- and I have to roll them up twice to keep them from dragging the ground. Worth a shot, anyway. (EB seem to run a bit bigger than my Levis as well.)
I haven't been able to buy jeans that fit at LB since they discontinued the low rise bootcut jeans. I loved them! I have an old pair that fits now, but I'll probably need all new jeans once fall comes.

Running ~ If you are looking for a good balconette bra, check out Macys.com. I have the same issue as you (need a 34 band with big cup size, I'm assuming?), and Macy's has great bras online (and wait for a sale...it's worth it!).
I haven't been to LB in yrs because they are overly pricey for no reason, but I remember something about they had their own sizing in the jeans. It was a big thing a few yrs back. The salespeople would actually measure you and tell you what size you wear. Maybe that's what the problem is?
How similar are Lane Bryant and Fashion Bug? I live in the middle of nowhere and I shop at Fashion Bug because there IS one, but haven't tried Lane Bryant. I went to the website and see they're part of the same company. Do you guys prefere one over the other or is it just a proximity thing?
