Let's move into summer with energy and exercise!

State your exercise goals for the month of June here. They will be added to our goal list. When your goal is met, it gets turned RED in celebration! Track your progress all month long with a supportive and encouraging group to cheer you.

I'm in. It was fun keeping track of my workouts last month. :D The week of the 13th will be a no-go. I'm teaching VBS during childcare hours at my gym, so won't be going at all that week.

June Goals: Gym 5x/week (Cardio x5, Weights x2-3), volleyball x1-2.

I'm going to set a more reasonable goal for myself this month, and baring any more hospital stays, I intend to make it! I'm going to shoot for exercising 24/30 days and a total of 50 miles walked.

Hi I'd like to join too. My goal for June is to do some type of exercise 6 days each week.

June 1: two 30 minute walks
June 2: 40 minute strength training DVD
June 3: rest day
June 4: 40 minute bike ride
June 5: 25 minute run/walk (outdoors)
June 6: 25 minute walk; rode bike to work (4 miles)
June 7: 25 minute walk; 15 minute strength training

June Goals:
900minutes of Cardio, 450minutes of Strength & walk the dogs 3x's a week.

I found it too hard with Ethans Baseball schedule to get in 5 dog walks in a week with out life getting in the way haha

I'm in on this challenge as well... Working out is my goal for the summer. I'm a teacher and have the summer off, no excuses. My goal will be 1,980 minutes of working out. This equivalent to working out 90 min a day, every Monday through Friday in June. I will be doing a mix of TurboJam, Chalean Extreme and Jogging/Walking.

Hey everyone. So I tried to start C25K and it didn't go so well. My knee kept trying to slide out of place and was hurting really bad. I guess since I'm just starting back working out I should start a little slower, so I'm going to change my goal a bit. It's still going to be working out at least 5 days per week, but I will do that by walking 2-3 miles on those days. I will also be starting Jillian Michael's Shred it With Weights, which I plan to do at least 3 days per week.

Live_Laugh_Love: I changed your goal. I can't run either (iliotibial band syndrome). I had hoped that it would go away when I lost the weight, but not so far. Walking works!

Since June 1st, I've bumped my cardio from 30 mins to 45 mins 5x/week. I've also been attempting to add in ab work. However, I'm finding that I'm either doing ab work or strength training, but not both. After an hour at the gym, I start to feel stressed about getting back to work. And once I'm home, I jump in the shower and get to work (no abs). I know it's ridiculous - how long could some crunches, etc possibly take? I just need to figure out a routine that works.

I'm a little behind this week. I didn't get to work out Sunday since I still wasn't feeling that great. I also didn't work out yesterday because I over slept. So I really need to get with it the next few days. I'm hoping I'll still be able to Saturday, it will just have to be after I get home from taking my Praxis PLT exam. Hope everyone is having a good week.

gardenerjoy: I apologize, but I have to drop the challenge for the month. I was pregnant, then miscarried and had a D&C, and am not allowed to exercise at least through the end of the month. I hope to be back on track in July.

Sidelined with sinus isses this week. :faint: And the stress situation, which we thought was improving, but evidently has not. Have to find a way to work around that.

Did get one workout in, weightlifting & abs 1 hour, Tues 6/21.

Hoping for better health in the coming week. ;)

Tonight my husband and I are going to do a spin class together, but I'm afraid this past week I did not get in my runs for c25k or finish 30 Day Shred as I'd intended. Life simply got in the way. But, I feel good about this month given how hard I worked out and I was quite consistent with it up until last Friday.

Goal was to exercise 4x a week. I joined the challenge in the middle of the month and was sidelined last week due to illness, after getting in one workout. I have worked out twice this week so far, and was thinking there were still two more days left in the week, but now I realize that it is the end of June. I had been thinking in terms of calendar weeks (like Sunday through Saturday) instead of the month (like 1-30). So, at least I am getting back into working out, though I obviously need to improve the frequency. But something is better than nothing, and this is a start. ;)

6-21: Weight lifting 1 hr
6-28: Weight lifting 1 hr
6-30: Walked 3 miles

Well technically I only met my goal for 3 out of the 4 weeks. But I feel really good about the month because it was more consistent exercise than I have done in a long time, and instead of letting a couple of missed days derail me and stop altogether, I just kept going! So I"m happy.
