- I now weigh less than my driver's license says
- I am 20% of the way to my final goal
- I'm no longer morbidly obese, just regular obese
- I have less than 100 lbs to go
- I've lost 10% of my body weight
- The last time I was under 250 was 10 years ago (well, except for about 5 minutes at the end of a 9-day "cleanse" in 2004)
- I have lost 4 inches each from my hips, waist and chest, and about 1.5 inches from each of my arms and legs
- My resting heart rate has gone from 76 to 66
- I have already donated the clothes that are too big, because I will NEVER need them again!
- I now own a treadmill - and a heart rate monitor - and actually use them regularly!
I keep kicking myself for not doing this sooner. I am not the serial dieter type... I have mostly spent my whole life eating whatever I wanted and not exercising. My next mini-goal is 234: what I weighed in at when I joined a gym to get ready for my wedding in 1999. (I didn't lose any weight. I went for probably a month. It didn't click until this Feb that what I put into my mouth had way more effect on weight loss than exercising.)
