Hiya all,

Hope everyone is doing ok. I have a question for you all. I have been back on induction to make up for the carb splurge over Xmas, I have been on it for 2 days now and I have a thirst like you wouldn't believe. I am drinking at least 2 litres of water a day and am still very thirsty all the time. Has anyone else had this while doing induction? I am sure I didn't have this the first time round.

Hope someone can enlighten me on this one.

Love and light

This diet plan is a diuretic plan - all the protein makes you go. Drink up, Water Goddess. You need 1/2 oz of water for every pound of your current weight. 2 litres is about 64 ounces so would be enough for a 128 pound person.

However I will add that despite all the water drinking it's during this time that you need to take a magnesium/potassium supplement since it is being flushed out of your body too. If you don't you'll have sore joints and feel a hundred years old.

I havent been excessively thirsty, but I have always been a big water drinker. I have a 64 oz cup that I fill up many many times during the day. Ive always been well hydrated. I have noticed however, that when I wake up in the morning, I am PARCHED, but its because I havent had any water in 6 or so hours:)

Drink up water godess. Like Ruth pointed out, the amount of water you are drinking doesnt really seem like enough. If you are still thirsty, drink, drink and drink some more!:)
