Default Binge helped weight loss?

Ive been stuck for a few weeks. The scale just did not move! I tried everything!

Yesterday I binged. It was the first time on my journey that I went completely overboard. But this morning the scale moved! I lost 1.2 lbs!

Has that happened to anyone else? It doesn't make a bit of sense to me!

No, but I'd be willing to try it! Good for you on your 1.2!

Our bodies are weird. I think sometimes our metabolisms just need a boost to get things moving again. Did you have a bunch of carbs? I read once that when weightloss stalls eating a high amount of carbs can cause a whoosh.

Well..I don't like to "label" myself as having any "condition" such as binge eating, but I do splurge regularly (weekly/bi-weekly) my entire journey as have lost weight (57 lbs so far) just shy of 2 lbs of vanity goal pretty much linear (with the exception of the last 5 lbs are giving me real problems!).

But ya...I love food too!

I have had the same thing happen! I think sometimes our bodies just need a shock, something to get out of the "routine". I believe that's the whole premise behind calorie cycling, which some people recommend trying if your weight loss has stalled.

Yes. Sometimes shaking things up like that kicks you body back into gear. Happens to me ALL the time.

Yep. It's happened to me.

However, only if its ONE binge. Like.... not days of binging. Then I gain. But if one meal is just a binge meal....... weird, but I'll lose weight sometimes the next day.
