Anyone interested in doing a Valentine's Day challenge?

It's 6 weeks until Valentine's Day & I'm challenging myself to lose 10.4 pounds, which would put me at 204 pounds.

Who's going to join me!! :)

I'm going for 250 - which is 10 lbs. And 2 lbs below my current "lowest" weight on this journey.

I;m in with a goal of 215 by Valentine's Day. I've put on 1.2 lbs since reaching my Dec. goal of "under 200". So I'm starting at 220.6 so a lb a week will do it.

250/220.6/ 215/????

I'd like to see 245. That's about 14 pounds. I gained a couple of pounds in December from being sick and not exercising at all so I'm trying to get back in the habit.

I'm w/you guys. I would like to see 290 by Valentine's Day. That's only a 5# loss.

On Valentine's Day, I'll be halfway through my BFL challenge. 10 lbs. is a reasonable goal...that would put me at 228.

Hey Jennelle - how did you determine your BF? did you see a doctor for that? do you have a goal for BF at the end of your body for life challenge. Just curious.

Dana - I used the body fat calculator at this site. (http://www.freeweightloss.com/calculator2.html) It has two body fat calculators. Use the circumference one, not the YMCA one. When I get my annual checkup (actually, it's been over two years since I've seen the doctor! :eek: ), I'm going to ask the doctor if he has a set of bodyfat calipers.

My goal is a 27" waist and 38" hips (my hips don't get much smaller than that! :lol: ), which would be about 26% body fat according to the calculator. That's considered "acceptable."

My goal is 215 on 2/15, but reasonably, I'd be very happy at 225 or 220 on 2/15! Ohh... stress! LOL. Peace. -Apryl

Oooh, I'm game. How about 12 pounds. 2 pounds a week should be do able. That will put me at 215. I haven't seen that weight since I had my son 10 years ago!!!

Hmm, thought I'd posted mine when I was in here last...lol... well, since I didn't, here it is, 10 pounds by Valentines day... I actually made this goal 2 weeks ago, soo, I'm right on schedule... weighed in for this 2 week period, down 4 :)

OK, I want to play, too! I am new and only have four weeks, but I am in a wedding on Feb. 15 so I like this one!

Can I say 9 pounds? That will get me down to 230. I know it's kind of ambitous, but it want to get to a round number! : )

I'm going to add 4 pounds to my goal as I reached it early and shoot for 10 pounds all up :)

Oh, I would love to do this... I met with my nutritionist yesterday and with my personal trainer today and tomorrow so I will be ready to start on Monday, the 20th!!!

Current weight is 230.
Valentine's Day is three weeks and four days away starting on the 20th...
Put me down for 10 pounds lost. That will put me at 220!!!

I just realized I've already met my Valentine's Day goal! I weighed in at 225 yesterday morning!

This is the first goal I have EVER reached in the two or three years I've been posting on this board.

I've never seen so many ppl make their goals so early, wow :bravo: Just think what we can do this year if we keep on this track. Congrats Jennelle and all you other goal makers. I'm .5 of a pound from making my second goal so I reckon I won't have any trouble making that in time. Bring on the roses!

I have 1.8 pounds to lose yet to make goal. Not impossible, but will be tough. I'm giving it my all, though!

I don't think I will make mine but that's ok, I gained a little at the beginning of the year once I got over my strep throat so I am at least going in the right direction.

Kayla--there's still two days until Valentine's Day! Can you weigh again on Friday morning or do you only do once a week?

It's so awesome and exciting that you're just a few pounds away from being under 200!

Sheila, I usually only weigh-in once a week on Wednesdays. So, even though I didn't make the goal I set for myself, I'm still happy that I've lost 10 pounds since the beginning of the challenge. :)

My goal for St. Patty's Day is to get to 199 (5.5 pounds in 4 weeks & a couple days should be doable). I haven't been below 200 in a long, long time!!!

I am going to do a special weigh in on Friday morning.
It looks like I didn't make it. I had two really stressful days on Monday and Tuesday. I ate my emotions!!!

Today is better - I will see how close I can get.

I kind of set myself up for disappointment because I thought for sure I was going to make my Valentine's Day goal today. But I didn't. I lost 6 lbs. last week, and I think my body just wanted to hang on to additional pounds, although I did really, really well OP and with exercise. I did lose 1.2 this week, though, which isn't anything to sneeze at, right?
