Default I'm Confused Too

I have been doing the 10 pound slimdown on Exercise TV for the past 2 weeks. I really like it because it has strength training and it has a 30 second cardio power drill-but I don't know if that's enough cardio either. I don't know if I should be doing strength training or cardio. I want to lose the weight, but I want to have muscle definition too. I just want everything to stop wiggling when I stop walking, not after

I do interval training! it is a godsend i swear! so i do a 4 minute walk warm up, and then run for 1 minute, walk for 3, run for 1, walk for 3... etc and i do this 4 times! then the week after i build it up to run for 2, walk for 2....i hope to build this up so that i can jog for the low intensity and run for the high intensity. I also do this on the cross trainer in 1 minute bursts of high resistance and high speed vs low resistance and slow speed. This works really well for fat burning and you only need to do about 15-20 mins of it to get results.

I was told by my trainer that someone who lifts weights for 30 minutes then does 30 minutes of cardio will burn a lot more calories than someone who just runs on the treadmill for 45 minutes. Why, because by the time you get to the cardio you are already at a caloric burn rate.

I also agree with the interval training advice.

I do 2 for 2 minutes. 4 for 2 minutes. 6 for 1 minute. 8 for 30seconds. THEN back down to 2 again. Cardio bursts help a lot!

I personally altered this a bit since I am getting in better shape. You only need to do this 4-5 times. Good luck! It is a work out that flies by, that's for sure!
