hi all, i haven't been on here in a couple of months, been busy and i started my bariatric program! yay!!!
so far, i have done all of my pre tests - bloodwork, sleep study, endoscopy, abdominal ultrasound, chest xray in the past two weeks, lol.
i met my surgeon last week and we both agreed on the ds which i am THRILLED about, as it is the surgery best suited for me.
i have been doing extensive research and preparation, and continue to do so everyday. i was amazed that my bloodwork showed that i am essentially pretty damn healthy lol, no co morbidities, normal cholesterol and sugars..healthiest fat chick in the world, me
i'm proud of myself that over the past few months i changed the way i eat from crap to healthy (whole grains fruits veggies, dairy free (hooray for soy cheese and milk) less meat, practically cholesterol free) and controlled my portioning. i've already starting protein shakes and powders so i get around 70-100 grams a day and this week i'm going to research my adek and other vitamin options and look up which ones to buy. when i get a date in two weeks i'm going to start incorporating protein jellos and sugar free soups and stuff. i feel in a very positive space about all this im not worrying (it is a bit scary sometimes though) and only knowing that this is for my long term health and the better. i definitely enjoy being meticulous and prepared.
just wanted to pop my head in and say hi to everyone
any advice or anything? am i missing anything lol
my throat hurts on the side today from the endoscopy this morning but thats about it. support group meeting next week, nut and psych week after.
