Default Will be the same pants size for a while :(

This something I have to just deal with but last year I lost a good bit of weight and I was still a size 13/14! I went from 212 to 177. Now, I will state that I was able to wear my tighter 13/14s but I still had to lose about another 10 to go down a size. Now my weight is back up and I know that I have to lose 40+ pounds before I will be an 11/12.
On the other hand, there was a significant difference in the tops I could wear. As of right now, I can only wear XL t-shirts due to the fact that I carry most of my weight in my abdomen. I will be able to wear my cute tops again starting when I hit 193.
Sorry, this is a bit of a gripe session but it is a little disheartening now that it is getting warmer and I was wondering if anyone else out there is feeling the same way.

It's true that the cut of larger clothes means you spend more pounds in them, to see the same size change, but it's not all bad. What does your pants size matter if you look phenomenal? And you can't drop 30 pounds and not look healthier and more lean, in the sub-250 range. Look on the bright side - pants size or not you look awesome and feel better, right? That has to count for something!

I started at 242 and I'm hovering between 180 and 185 right now. I JUST bought a smaller pants size for the first time EVER. Every other time I have ever bought pants it was to get a size larger...

It's crazy how I could have lost 60 pounds and still be wearing the same pants. I did tighten my belt a notch or two though.

Plus I tend to carry nearly ALL of my excess weight in my belly, and for some reason when I lost weight I still lost it first everywhere except there... of course. So that affected my pants size a good amount - I am a fan of the "tuck the belly into the pants" method rather than the "tuck the pants under the belly" method, so I have to buy larger waist-sizes.
