 Welcome Friends

You've found a great place to come and vent, share or ask for prayer support. This is a great group who will be very encouraging, caring and loving....anyone is welcome to join!

A Servant's Prayer --

Jesus, My Jesus....How marvelous are your ways....
Far more splendid than my mind can envision.
What an honor to be chosen by you.
A lowly child I am, but empowered by the Holy Spirit to fulfill the great hope to which you have called me.
I give myself totally to you, Lord.
Take my imperfect heart and make it perfect.
Peel away the hardness.
Close the doors I have opened to the temptations of this world.
Gently remove the roots of painful memories, sins, doubts and fears.
Discard anything that separates me from you.
Lord, fill the emptiness with the light of your love that I might be a beacon calling the lost back to you.

To love as you love.....
To serve as you serve.....
To forgive as you forgive.....
Always mindful of my nothingness while doing great and marvelous things in your name and for your glory.
This I pray, Jesus, in YOUR name ...

HI EVERYONE ~ I realized that it was the 1st of May becuz I had to pay our rent tonight; so thought I'd mozy in here and start the new thread too! We've had a busy week. I did come by to read a couple of times, but didn't get to post; PC trouble. On a few other days, my IE kept knocking off on me; they (MS) said it was a techie problem though -- not my ole PC.

HEY BOOTSIE ~ I miss you guys too and coming in here as often as I did before. I was just waiting a bit before I went to see another guy about a new PC; will try again and see what happens. Like Numpster told me when we discussed this -- you have to watch these guys cuz they'll try to sell you something you really don't need. I wish they were more on the up & up instead of the up & take. ;)

HI TRISH ~ nice to see you drop over here again. Always glad to hear from you too! Hope you are doing better and finding a style of eating that helps your health a bit. I'm just keeping to my plan; eating a bit more veggies & salads & lean meats; limiting the starchy carbs a bit more. I am losing inches, but it's slow. I'm not that worried about it; focusing more on better health and hoping the weight thing will resolve itself eventually.

GARY ~ the snow is all gone finally; we had a few short **** falls this past week, but they melted the next day. We had two days of :sunny: in a row, with temps at 70F all day yesterday: nice! We had rain for a bit today, but that's better than the alternative. Yes, DH is itching to get out to the lot; and now that May is here, we can. Plans are in the works, for sure. Have a great week at work ...

 BARGOO ~ hope you're feeling well these days ...

We'll be heading up to "THE LOT" this week; taking up supplies which I picked up this week. Time to get started on that cabin again. The kiddies next door have been quieter this week; seem to be away lately. I keep praying for them that GOD will find them a new purpose in life besides playing games on us. ;) I'm sure your prayers about that have helped a lot, so THANKS!!!

^Sending up prayers^ for JOANNE's SON ~ THE GOOD SHEPHERD can find and bring back any lost sheep; I always pray that prayer for anyone who is lost in the drug & alcohol world. HE helped my brother get off the alcohol for 3+ years now; and we are praying he sticks to the good walk (so far, so good). He needed help & finally got it: counselling & meds for anxiety & depression; surgery to mend a knee that was destroyed on a job accident, plus other health issues. PTL, PTL, PTL -- he is doing well! We are so very grateful for all the faithful prayers of our partners & warriors here! :D

Hope all our friends here had a lovely day today; we did. Take care and have a wonderful week coming up ... ROSEBUD :flow2:

Just want2behealthy: Thank you for starting this thread, and for the wonderful prayers. God specializes in what the world deems "lost causes" :D. Praying His blessings on everyone this day!

Hey there Rosebud, glad to see you back and praying for your computer. It is like winter here this morning in the 40's ! It was 95 yesterday.Got to go to town will be back later.

05-06-2011, 01:06 AM
 HEY THERE BACK ~ We've had some excellent weather here lately -- :sunny: and very warm today. Been busy lately too: got some projects on the go which I will fill you in on pretty soon. Going up to "THE LOT" is only one of them; gotta pick up one of our utility trailers while there; check things out, and so on. This is gonna be one busy summer; I can tell.

Did a bit of shopping and got some long premade cushions for one of the couches/beds for a good bargoon today; saved quite a bit of money on it. I was going to buy a futon mattress which costs over $220, but got the nice cushions for only $30 each; now that's a great savings!!! PTL!

JOANNE ~ There's no lost causes in JESUS' book ... remember the Prodigal son story; the Father forgave him and welcomed him home with open arms!

We had company tonight; it's getting late, so time to get some shut-eye. Hope you all have a fantabulous Friday tomorrow; take good care ... Rosebud :flow2:

Hi everyone, just discovered this thread! and what a wonderful surprise to come across a Christian related weight-loss forum :):):)
I joined this site a while back but didn't really check in at all. I have so much to lose and am 56 years (almost 57) but with God's help I will achieve permanent weight loss for the first time.
I will now include everyone here in my prayers each day xx

Praise the fires are out in Marfa and Fort Davis and all west Texas is my understanding.
Welcome Moideux hope you stick around . I been out of socket because a-lot of things I just don't understand when you have a change over , went over my my bites or something so had to stay off when I changed over to business. It is all a different kind of language to me understanding this computer wireless usage and rules when you change over in the same company, need to wait and do it on your last billing date I learned the hard way.Oh well life goes on.
My dog Chester who is about 20 years old died Saturday and so did my friend .
I hope Elizabeth and Old Chester are having fun in heaven together.

Rosebud so glad your getting some good weather, wish we could get some much needed rain! Our river is down to a creek and in some places you can walk across.

Well best get going hope all is well with everyone.

 HELLO PEOPLE ~ gee, didn't realize that it's been a week since I posted in here. We've had one busy week; phone calls, meetings, signing papers, etc, etc, etc. We have a deal on the go; pretty well done now, so the lawyers say. Anyone wanna guess what we did? Huh? Let's play 3 GUESSES ... ;)

BOOTSIE ~ Sorry to hear about CHESTER and your friend ELIZABETH, BUT they are both in a wonderful, peaceful, happy place with loads of love and beauty and joy all around them! Prayers for you and all her family at this time ...

We've had lots of :sunny: and warm temps this week; just today we had a wee sprinkle of :rain: but it didn't last long at all. ^PRAYERS^ going up for Texas to get some much-needed rain. PTL indeed that some of those fires are finally out there too. :D

:welcome: MOIDEUX ~ so glad that you found us over here. We have a lot of family (on both sides) that hail from that beautiful Emerald Isle. It makes sense that I had sandy red hair with emerald green eyes and the fiesty, yet sweet temperment to go with: a true Irish lass for sure! ;)

My mini-bluebells are already blooming and the tulips are coming up too. I see that some folks have a shorter version of daffodils up early now too. Hope everyone here is well; and that you have a fab Friday tomorrow too ... Rosebud :flow2:

 HEY THERE ~ WHOA ... where is everybody??? I'm the last poster??? Anywho, we went up to "our lot" on Saturday -- it was freezing up there; nasty wind and we got quite a surprise when we got there. It seems the frost pushed up the ground; I'm not kidding -- about a couple of feet under and all around our camper.

So we found our BBQ upside down and our double lawnchair almost on its side; and the steps the same, so DH decides he has to make news ones which turned into a ramp but never got finished ... and ho-hum ... about 5+ hours later, it still wasn't finished. Finally I said, "OK, that's enuff; we're going home!" I told DH we'll just stay home long enuff for the frost to go back down and then we'll just put the old step my DAD made back in place ... Sounds like a plan to me ... ;) Life's an adventure, isn't it??? :D

Sooooooo .... we got home about 8:30 pm; then had a quick dinner around 9 pm; nothing fancy though (I had super dogs with beans & a coleslaw salad; DH had his like hotdogs/franks, you know; whatever) ... just nice and ez; what can I say? It was one of those days. ;)

Well, I'm so glad that at the last minute I decided to take a couple of books with me to read. I read a book by PAUL REISER called COUPLEHOOD -- how appropriate. I laughed my guts out; it was hilarious. It came out in the mid-90's, so I'm a bit behind, but it was so worth it to read. I finished it off today. I don't think I have ever laughed as hard reading any other book in my life. If you can find a copy of this book at your library or on the net -- GET IT!!!

Ackk, my PC is acting up on me for some reason; so I'm gonna cut this short. All my newly planted trees but one, made it through the winter; and my mini-hyacinths and some tulips were blooming and budding in the stone garden up at "the lot". We had some :sunny: the last two days but this AM we awoke to 0 Celcius or 32 F, which is freezing ... eeks! Thank goodness, the skies cleared up; so no precip.

Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend; take care and drop by sometime and let us know how you're doin' ... Rosebud :flow2:

Well I am new to this site and am really happy to find this thread. I know that weight loss is linked to my weight loss and gain. I am in the process of lossing my last 30 (75) and it has been a battle.
To know that there are others 'out there' that have the same crisis of faith I do is encourageing.
Looking forward to getting to know you and to add you to my prayer list.

05-16-2011, 05:54 PM
Just a quick one to let y'all know that I haven't left this thread. I'm busy getting ready to leave for TX. My Daddy has eye surgery next Monday and my sister has hip surgery the following Thursday so we are going to be with them and are making a vacation out of it. We will leave for San Antonio after my sister wakes up from surgery and spend a few days there since DH has never been there.

I hope everyone is doing well. I've got me some cans of Slim-fast and a few 100 cal foods that I can use during the trip so I don't have to eat out too much and hopefully be able to stay within my calories. I sure would like to return with a weight loss or at least without a gain.

I'll catch up on everybody when I get back. I pray God's blessing on all of you.

05-20-2011, 12:59 AM
:welcome: 30toGO ~ nice to have another CANADIAN join us in this thread/forum. Those that have been around here for awhile know that we all have faced similar challenges. If you are living, you will have some; but the LORD can be our strength and our hope; and will be right by our side, helping us and supporting us as we go along. He will never leave us or forsake us; HE is with us always ... that is a promise from His Word/bible (Matthew 28:30).

TRISH ~ sent up prayers for your DAD's and SISTER's surgeries; that all will go well for them, and they will both recover & heal quickly; and have a wonderful trip/holiday in Texas ...

We've had another busy week; our temps were very high here for May -- we got up into the 80's F the last few days. We actually installed our air conditioner today. Last night, we just used a fan to cool things down so we could sleep. The trees and bushes are finally starting to bud their leaves.

Got some shopping done today; so also put in lots of walking today too. Boy, you start out to not spend so much but before you know it, it costs you twice what you had planned. Gas & food costs are going up constantly here; our bread jumped up .30c a loaf just since last week ... :?:

Some of my pretty, two-toned Daffodils are now in full bloom; so lovely. Hope all our friends here are having a Marvellous Month of May; take good care ... Rosebud :flow2:

05-20-2011, 10:09 AM
Trish I love to go to San Antonio and that is not very often. There is so much to see and I love the river walk and all the little business's they have there. Every-time I go there it rains and sure need to go back. The last time we was there it rained 5 inches in one night! The hotel flooded and the alarms went off and we walked down stairs , think we were on the 5th floor and we walked back up to for we did not want to get caught in the elevator. Love the zoo , museums one had a great big shark in it, not real but looked real and moved. The Alamo where my Grandfather died . When we were there the Long star Brewer was still operating and it was really neat. Have fun and pray that your Mom and Dad get along alright.

05-22-2011, 06:30 PM
HEY BOOTSIE ~ SAN ANTONIO sounds like a fun place to visit; but the flooding is not so good. Too bad all that rain wouldn't spread itself around where it is needed most. We had a wee (and I mean 'light') sprinkle here today, but we welcome the cooler temps of 70F instead of 80 F + higher that we've had the last week. Spring & fall, we have what the bible refers to the early & latter rains; we are blessed to have them to help our flowers come up in spring and keep the trees & grass growing after those hot summer months.

My tulips are up and blooming all along our side garden; the early ones, and the taller ones are on their way. The different sizes make it so we have tulips coming up over a longer period than usual; and we have the different kinds of daffodils in there too. I am going to dig them all up with my flowering bushes and transfer them to our next place ...

Speaking of that, since no-one decided to play my game of 3 GUESSES with me, I wanted to share with all our friends here that we bought ourselves a home recently. Most of the paper work is done with a bit more later on for our closing which isn't until the beginning of August, as there were temporary tenants living in the home while the owner tried to sell it (as she had bought another house to live in).

So we would appreciate prayers for the young family -- that they find a nice place for themselves too, as that is a dream for their future as well. We gave them a good referral, and were told that they have found a place already; but for some unknown reason, a few people around us are being extremely negative about this whole matter (why, we don't know) -- so we would appreciate PRAYER about this.

We put a clause in our purchase agreement that the sale doesn't go through until the tenants have vacated the home (and the seller must meet this condition of sale.) The LORD gave me some wonderful scriptures about this whole deal (see Psalm 37:3-5); so we are standing on those promises and TRUSTING THE LORD TO BRING IT TO PASS. You know from the time we approached the bank for a mortgage, arranged for extra funding (for moving, etc), and found a place -- it was less than one month; now if that's not a miracle of GOD, I don't know what is ... :D

This is a really big dream for us, and we are very excited about it all. My sister, NUMPSTER, and her hubby are going to come up when we move; as is my DAD & stepmother as well (the same month). That will be nice to have them all here to see our new place. DH says he is still having a hard time believing it happened so fast; but when the LORD moves, HE moves! I think it will sink in more when we start moving in.

Meanwhile, we are packing up our boxes; and it is nice to have more time to get ready this time. Plus this gives me a chance to downsize even more as we go along. I still have several boxes already packed that we never opened becuz of lack of space here (pictures & stuff). Our new place has a full basement with lots of room for storage. I will try to download a few pictures for you somehow.

Hope you are all having a nice weekend. I made a homemade bean pot (hearty soup) for dinner, and it's ready to eat now; so time to go for now. Take good care ... Rosebud :flow2:

05-22-2011, 08:30 PM
Rosebud, congratulations on your new home. August will be here before you know it.

05-22-2011, 08:49 PM

Sorry I haven't been around much ladies.

I am still working out of town all week and with the new granddaughter/chores/LIFE in general it is tough to get here for "quality" posting.

I hope...HOPE to have a 4 day week-end this coming Memorial Day week-end and be able to catch up...

although we are having a big party here and a graduation party to go to also...

Be Good!

Hi everyone! I'm new here. I've struggled with my weight for about 10 years now and after much prayer, I found myself reaching for other Christians for support. So, here I am. I have decided to turn it over to my Lord and rely on Him and whoever He puts in my path for help. I just need some support.

So, I'm a wife and mother. I stay home with our three kids who are homeschooled. That's amazing, btw. My weight became a problem when I had a miscarriage and I've struggled ever since. I went from 120 pounds to 200 in a matter of 3 months when my hormones were jolted from pregnancy. I went on to pack more pounds with three more pregnancies and I'm losing the battle on my own.

So, that's a little about me. I'm glad to be here!

05-26-2011, 10:02 AM
Welcome , Blahgirl, and good luck. This is a great place for support and encouragement.

05-27-2011, 02:11 PM
:welcome: B-GIRL ~ forget about the past, but learn from it. FOCUS ON TODAY! Start eating as healthy as you can, taking it oneday@atime. I find this so helpful for everything in this life; and the bible has some verses about this too -- ie Philip 3:13/14; Isaiah 43:18; Matt 6:34.

BARGOO & GARY ~ THANKS! We're very excited about our new home; and have started sorting & packing already. Have sent 3 boxes & one bag to goodwill this week already. :D

We're having lovely spring weather here this week (between the 60's & 70's) and at least half of my tulips are up & blooming already. Some of the Lilies are budding as well ...

We have been staying home doing stuff around here over the last week, as I already mentioned. Our stove conked out on us so I ordered a new one and it should be here on June 1st. We had planned on buying a new one for the new house anyways, so now we'll just have it earlier that's all.

KAREN ~ hope those tornadoes & twisters have moved away.

Hope all our friends here are having a lovely spring and better weather with all the rain you need during this time, especially down TEXAS way. You're in our prayers; take good care ... Rosebud :flow2:

05-27-2011, 09:33 PM
New here and glad to see this forum. :)

I'm a homeschooling mom of 7. 3 of my kids have special needs. I'm also a children's pastor and working my way through Berean classes to be a certified minister.

B-girl, I understand the rapid gain after your loss...I don't remember gaining after our loss, but when my kids were diagnosed with various things I packed on 75 pounds. 50 of that in just a couple of months WHILE NURSING TWINS! I will be praying for you as you take these first steps toward getting back to a healthy weight.

I started working out and eating better a month ago. I never thought I'd be one to exercise, but I'm hooked now and workout 5-6 days a week.

05-28-2011, 07:09 PM
Welcome, sevencallmemom and good luck !

05-30-2011, 05:46 PM
:welcome3: 7CallmeMom ~ wow, you sure have a full plate, that's for sure  -- glad you found us over here; and that you have found an exercise regime that you're hooked on ... :D

We are having summer temps here again -- we had lovely spring temps for a few days, then some :rain: for our gardens; and the tulips & daffodils are lovin' that (we have blooms all the way down the side garden now). I think the frost is finally leaving the ground: our back porch door almost closes now. I'll go by that when I think the ground at our lot has finally settled down. ;)

DH set up our 3-way air conditioner that's also a dehumidifier; once you get rid of the humidity on an 85 degree day, you feel much better really. I think we use the dehumidifier function more than the air conditioner, as it takes away the stickiness in the air, and cools the place down too.

Time to go get some more stuff done; sorting, sorting, & more sorting and packing. I do some reading at night to relax -- just fun, fluff stuff mostly. Hope you all had a nice weekend, and have a good week coming up; take good care too ... Rosebud :flow2:

05-30-2011, 06:06 PM
Thanks so much for the welcome, ladies! My plate is full, but I wouldn't have it any other day. :)

It's getting really hot here. Sent my oldest to youth camp this morning and I'm grateful I decided to do a sleep at home camp for my children's church kids this year...5 days in our nicely air conditioned fellowship hall sounds like way more fun (for me LOL) that 5 days out there.

05-30-2011, 11:27 PM
Hi GALS :)

I hope everyone had a great week-end with their loved ones.

We were busy here as usual for the long week-end. I ended up working a half day on Friday, had really hoped for 4 full days :(

All was well though as I spent most of the afternoon at my son and dil's house watching my GRANDdaughter with my daughter, who was babysitting her, as my dil had to go back to work and my daughter had the day off. Angie and I then spent the evening over there with our now, every Friday date night, watching her so the kids can have a couple of hours of free time. They usually just stay home and take care of chores and errands.

Saturday we took off to Starbucks for our 3.5 mile walk with the dogs before Angie went to bell choir practice and to teach a yoga class. In the afternoon we went to a graduation from college party for one of my nieces at the park. We took the dogs there too, they just loved it :)

Sunday, after church, we had our big shuffleboard tournament with about 20 friends and family here. We decided on carne asada instead of burgers and brats this of my son's friends (and adopted son of mine ) that comes every year was disappointed...he gets Mexican food at home every day since he is one ;) He laughed and said he always looks forward to the brats since his mom has no idea what they are. Labor Day or the 4th we will make it up to him :)

The weather has been got really cold and windy yesterday afternoon so we decided to skip the shuffleboard game. The guys were really busy watching the INDY and NASCAR and the kids were all playing basketball and corn-hole so no one really missed it.

Angie and I went to the beach this morning for our 4 mile walk with the mutts then to the beach cafe for breakfast, the weather was really awesome. We started our walk at 6:15 and it was a bit chilly but when we finished, an hour later, it was really warm.

I spent the rest of the cleaning up from the party, which was almost all done by all the night before, and putting the patio chairs and tables up. After Angie finished a yoga class at the studio we both hit the BBQ hard and got it all cleaned up for the next party.

Then I packed my truck for another week out of town :( Although I am very blessed to have work

My weight was consistent this past week. I weighed 188 when I left and 188 still today....and that is just a bummer Soon I will be back home, I think, and maybe I can get serious on these 10 pounds I want to knock-down!

I hope all is going well with you all :)

I almost forgot to post the website where you can see the purses Angie has been making in her free time. It is posted in General Chatter too in the etsy thread ~

Welcome sevencallmemom

I just got back from Marfa , my grandsons High School graduation. He sure gave a good speech and he did not even act like he was nervous about giving it. I would of been. They gave everyone flowers to give away to the ones that meant the most to him and he came to us and his parents first and he gave us white roses. His speech was just awesome! He got several scholarships .
Moms and others check your sodium content in your foods. We are not suppose to have over 2400 to 2500 in sodium but when you start checking you may be getting more than you think your getting that has allot to do with our weight. If your like me I like my food salty well that just puts extra weight on me and it is so hard at first to do without added salt but you can do it, you can do anything as long as you can do it with Jesus , he gives us the strength. I was bouncing up and down and it had a-lot to do with my sodium content you will be surprised what has sodium , eggs, coffee decaf coffee, tea but decaf tea has none. Dr. Phil McGraws food guide has helped me a-lot on the sodium content I have been getting. If you eat pickles and I did 1 sour pickle 3 1/4 long is 785 mg 1 sweet spear is 188, sweet gerkin is 235mg, ketchup ,1 tbsp is 178, that was hard to take there I use ketchup on everything! Love salsa, 2 T. 139! Maybe this will help you in loosing.

I am new here. I joined tonight. I really want to lose weight. I have been trying for years now. I got down to 165 about three years ago and then I got pregnant. Now, I can't seem to lose the weight again. I am hoping that I can get some support here and that that will help me. I pray at night for will power and the strength to control my eating. It seems like I am not strong enough to control it. I am an emotional eater so I get exhausted when I work so hard to keep my appetite in check. I can do really well for a week or two. Any support or encouragement or advice is very welcome. I hope I can make some friends here and create some accountability for myself and stick with it this time.

06-02-2011, 09:19 PM
You have made a start. Do you have a diet and exercise plan ? If you haven't already started you can start right now. Good luck.

06-02-2011, 09:46 PM
Hi, this is my first post on the forum. When I saw there was a Christian group, I made a B-line in this direction. I'm so thankful you all are here, it makes being the "new girl" a bit more comfortable. I really need to lose a good 100 lb., and have dieted successfully (-80 lb.) previously, but I really feel like a buddy or two...or three, would be a great encouragement. It's great to be here. I look forward to meeting all of you.

06-03-2011, 12:17 PM
Welcome and good luck !

06-03-2011, 11:19 PM
:welcome: KAKIE ~ we're glad you found us here too. Well, you've succeeded in the past and you can again. This group is very supportive; I'm sure you will like it here.

:welcome3: HONEYSUCKLE ~ Just start with small steps; making a few small changes over time. Try to cut down/out the junk foods first; see that as step one. Replace that with healthy snacks & fruit; you can lose a lot of weight just doing that. Look at your plate sizes: try using smaller plates & bowls for your meals. Look for healthy versions of your family's favorite meals, so they won't know the difference & will get healthier along with you. ;)

HI GARY ~ glad things are going so well for you and yours at this time; and we know that you are enjoying your new grand-daughter too. Have a great week at work ...

HEY BOOTSIE ~ glad you're back and that you had such a grand time in Marpa. You sound like a proud Auntie for sure. Yes, I agree about the SALT issue; I have cut mine way back and that has helped the swelling in my legs go down as well. There seems to be a lot of salt in many foods these days. I was stunned when I saw how much salt was in my cupasoups; so I have to have them only now & then.

I can't stay long as we have a storm starting up here; at first, it was just a little :rain: but now I am hearing thunder & lightening so will have to cut this short(er) ;) for now. Since I am using the old machine with a modem that can be hit hard by lightening down a line. We lost one during a storm before, so now I shut'er down during bad storms.

 to all our MIA'S out there ~ like RONNIE, WILMA, KAREN, and so many others. Hope you are all well and continuing to just try to live & eat as healthy as you can; go for the long-term for that's so much easier ...

We packed up some boxes today. Yesterday, went through ALL my clothes for the second time, and gave away a huge box (it almost seemed like half my clothes). I also packed one box of winter stuff away (not bad only one big tote). DH teased that now the rod has stopped sagging from all my clothes. I am trying to downsize even more this time; now, we just have to go through the coat closet and thin that out a little too.

I made a 3-fruit compote today: rhubarb, apples and blueberries -- yum! Time to make some tea; take good care all ... Rosebud :flow2:

Hi Gals :)

Angie is off at a party for her principal. He is transferring to a local high school next year...she "gifted" me by not making me go  I am a very good sport about those things but she knows I would rather miss them if at all possible ;) To be honest she wasn't all that happy about going tonight...a nice cool evening here to stay at home and relax.

I was out of town all week again but work is slowing down for me on the 2 projects we are on up in Beverly Hills. I will have work on both projects for a while but will be letting guys go here next week :( They are very thankful though of the last 6+ months I have been able to give them full time+ work.

Angie and I didn't get to go to Starbucks this morning as we both had to fast for blood work. We did go out into the hood and walked by Starbucks and on a big :carrot: PLUS...I saw my GRANDdaughter too! We walked by my son's house, were planning to throw the paper into his house as he is away for the state track meet with his athletes...but we caught my daughter in law just as she was heading out the driveway to I-Hop with her grandparents :) We did babysit my GRANDdaughter last night while my dil had dinner with us then went off to get her nails done and then come home and do a power cleaning on her bedroom and bath.

I will try and put up some more pictures of my GRANDdaughter tomorrow...she is getting so cute at 9/10 weeks old

ROSEBUD I bet it feels real good to be packing this time as compared to last time ;)

BOOTSIE How cool for you to hear your grandsons speech and be at his graduation.

Well, I will try to check in before I head out Monday :)

Hey Everyone!!

I was last here in October of 2008. My beloved father became very ill and passed away in Feb. 2009. He was my hero and his passing was extremely difficult. But our God is faithful and He has brought me back to the business of living life to the fullest!

Gary, it's good to see you again! I'm ready to be updated on your life. How are the gorgeous girls (goldens)? I notice you have a new grandbaby? We do too! Michael Robert was born Feb. 1, 2010. He lives with us and that makes NINE in the household! One day at a time Sweet Jesus!

I've finally managed to lose close to 70 pounds and I give God the glory! He is taking me to the finish line! Of that I'm sure!

Can't wait to meet all of you that I don't know and catch up with all of you I do know!

Take Care everyone!
