I am a complete exercise-phobe and don't have a clue where to begin!
I weigh about 210lbs, am completely mobile...but where do I begin? I already do some walking but I'm looking for something a little bit more intense. The only thing I won't do right now is swimming (too self-conscious to undress in public).

Can anyone suggest a good way to get into doing a decent amount of varied exercise every week?

Walk more, or start a C25K program to get you to running.

Or, you could ride a bike. Outstanding exercise, no impact.

free weights
as always, stretching

Here's some good beginner exercises using stability ball. They are great for building core strength.


Here's some other genre's of exercise you might like to try like beginner abs, beginner strength training, etc...
