Hi ladies,
I'm officially starting my calorie counting today. I've been tracking for about a week now just to see how much I eat on a typical day. I've also been wearing a pedometer for about a week now to track my physical activity.
I ordered P90X two weeks ago for free through my BCBS of Illinois points that I earned. I've been reading up on it, and a lot of people said to start getting into decent shape before going full blown on it. It still hasn't come in the mail yet, but I'm sooooo freakin' excited for it and have started preparing.
I finally pulled out the scale this morning (probably the first time in over a year) and found that I weight 153. My goal weight really is 135 and I'd like to reach it by the end of August. So, I feel like I have pretty decent expectations.
Because I've been flirting with calorie counting for the past couple of weeks I'm already realizing foods that I should be avoiding. PLUS, I did calorie counting a few years ago and got down to 140. So, I know it works and I have a decent base to do it.
Anyhoo, here I am!! I'm looking forward to participating with all of you. I'm off to go pick up some oatmeal from my work cafeteria.
