My father has decided to start doing Atkins with me. This makes it MUCH easier on me, as he and I do the grocery shopping for the family together, so we will be buying only good stuff!

The only problem is, he has said he cannot give up his bread. That is the only thing he cant give up. Is there a really good bread baking mix on the market that is also low carb? I have been searching, and there are a few, but I dont know if any are good. Anyone have any experience with them? It would be nice if he could do the plan with me..and the giving up bread is the only think keeping him from doing so! Thanks, I appreciate it!

I found a bread machine mix and recipe.

Carbolite Bread Mix
Directions:

Bread Machine: Add 7 oz of water and 1 tbsp of oil to the bread machine. Empty the contents of 1 pouch and 2 tsp of fast acting yeast on top of the water. Select light crust, regular cycle. Do not use delay timer.

Conventional Oven: Empty contents of 1 pouch into a bowl. Add 7 oz of warm water, 1 tbsp oil and 2 tsp yeast. Mix and form into a ball. Let rise until double in size ( about 1 hour ). Shape into a small baking pan. Bake at 350º for 45 minutes or until golden brown.

I've never seen it in stores, but I have tried other Carbolite products.
