I am a 28 year old law enforcement officer from NH. I was once fit, worked out 5 times a week, ate relatively healthy and loved being outside. I am now overweight (205 pounds and 5'9"), lack of energy, no zest for life or my career and feeling like I have developed an addiction for eating. Money it tight, and eating healthy is hard. I sit here and look at my fat gut buldging out, feeling the fat rolls on my back and not being able to fit into any of my clothes and now even my uniform is getting tight. I need help on how to get my motivation back.

It sounds like the motivation is there. You went as far as coming here and admitting that you're ready for change. The rest will come as you start to make those changes.
I'm also the same height and weight (and age) as you, so I know you probably feel a lot bigger than you really are. Us tall girls carry our weight well.
Browse the site, check out all the different diet options and find one that fits you and your lifestyle. I personally am finding a lot of benefit on a low carb diet. I also tried calorie counting. Everyone is different.
Exercise will definitely help boost your mood. Even if it's a 30 min cardio video in front of your tv.
If you need a buddy to stay accountable, I'd be more than willing to help out. I'm pretty new to this too.
