Hello to all the Blue and Red Team members:

This is where we will all be chatting over the next 6 weeks. I hope all of you take advantage of this great thread. Feel free to talk about your day, your struggles and your accomplishments.

If you want to still post your weights weekly please do it in this thread not in the Team threads (it will be to hard for Shan and I to sift through afterwards in the team WI thread)

I look forward to getting to know the red team members better (some of you have done awesome during this challange) and to keep in touch with my blue team

For the next 6 weeks we are all one and as always we are all in the same boat and that is to lose weight and get healthy. Let's all be encouraging and helpful to one another.

I look forward to the next 6 weeks and losing at least one size by then.:carrot::carrot:

Hi everyone - I'm Vanessa and I was on the blue team... I am doing WW and have joined a Personal training group two times a week since starting the challenge back in January. I have lost 15 pound on the challenge and have been on two vacations - the first in January and the second just last week. I am about to go weighin and see what the effect of all inclusive meals, alcoholic drinks and snacking has made. Either way it was worth it... I have had a shift in my mind... this challenge hasnt felt like me going on a "diet" but making better lifestyle choices. I exercise more than last year, I track what I eat now, and I plan all my evening meals a week ahead, so I know what choices I can make in the daytime.

I have started better habits, and by regularly chatting in the threads, I am making myself committed to these choices, accountable and able to vent when life doesnt go the way you want.

This week is going to be hard for me, my son is sick at his dad's house, and his dad is at work and is being cared for by his dad's new wife... I am at home for the week and wish I could cuddle him. I am his mum, that's my job! He is at his dad's for the whole week. I havent emotionally eaten today, only because its weigh in 1/2 hour's time. But food is on my mind... I went and got a pedicure, and nearly bought a muffin, but my friends was eating in the cafe, and I felt accountable to her, and just purchased a bottle of water and joined her and her friends. I will probably be on here a lot this week avoiding food. Does anyone else get like this?

Hi all,

I'm Dora from the Blue Team - lost 20 lbs this challenge, always want it to be more, but I'm totally pleased nonetheless. I've set a monthly mini-goal of 5lbs and am pretty much on track. That means I won't be at goal weight until about August 2012, but for me, its good to know its in the distance. I tend to start feeling I'm doing good, slack off, then fall off.:dizzy:

Just started using weights and I'm participating on the site Body-for-Life. The folks there are so supportive, all weight lifting types. I read and believe that having more muscle burns more calories both during exercise and when at rest, so I'm trying to develop some, both for that reason and to firm up.

Well that's me, eating OP -about 1300-1500 calories a day, a comfortable level that I can live with. Still don't drink enough water, but making efforts to do so. Anyone else lifting weights? I also bought some bands for when we go on various outings for several days away from home. My heart is in this!!!!

WOW Susan!! What a difference a few months of hard work and determination can make!

Hello to the new Purple team! I'm looking forward to keeping up with my Red teammates and getting to know the Blue team too.

This week is going to mark a bit of a fresh start and new "offensive" so to speak. I've been thinking to change up some of my caloric intake and exercise plans over the past month or so and I'll be making some changes this week. I hope my body responds well to what I'll ask of it!

Hello purple team!!! I am very excited that we can support each other through the next few weeks of weight loss. I have lost 23 lbs in this challenge thus far. I follow Weight Watchers P+ plan for eating and take a bunch of Zumba/yoga classes for exercise. For the past three weeks I have really been struggling with my eating and have been going overboard more often than not. I am hoping getting back into posting regularly will be the kick in the pants that I need to really get this weight off for good. Good luck to everyone, let's go purple!

Hi Purple team! I am coming from the blue team, and lost 22# on the challenge. The last couple of weigh ins have been slow for me and I need to exercise more than I have been. Looking forward to the the next 6 weeks!

Hi all! I've beening following a high protein, low carb/sodium/fat diet plan offered by a local doctor, and trying hard to embrace exercise as part of my new lifestyle. During this challenge I've lost 17lbs, and overall I'm closing in on 60lbs.

Susan -- Are your pics gone already?! Please re-share!! :) :) Congratulations on your amazing successes during this challenge. :hug:

Hi glad some of you have already been on and introducing yourselves. I had a bit of a crazy day at work and had to stay late again. So going in later tomorrow. I'm also fighting something off.....I am not sick, I am not sick:)

Rainbow - you look great and did awesome during this challange. You should leave your pictures up

Blue Team/Red Team- Sorry for delayed results on this last weeks weigh in. Having some issues on my side of things but will try to get them to you asap.

Well, hello to all! My name is Shannon and I am the red team leader and have been for the past 3 or 4 challenges. I stumbled a lot in this past challenge but I have been working hard to re-balance my life and my desire to be healthy. I will not be around on here for the first 3 weeks of the purple team chats because I am off on a vacation to the Philippines with my bf. Hope everyone has a good couple of weeks. I'll be back soon!!

P.S. Don't forget to watch for the sign up for the summer challenge coming later in early May!

thanks shan, bigmid, narnia, angie....i worked so hard...and was so glad ot be apart of the challenge. i don't like to have my picture taken...ugg...i have so few pictures of me over the years...and hardly any full size photos! i am always hiding behind someone else or furniture or a tree! anything really. so it was hard to post them, but someone had asked me to share so i wanted to post them for a short time. thanks for the encouragement.

I'm struggling today! I have hit a low! I am feeling really depressed at the moment! I was suppposed to go meet with ex work colleagues today for lunch and well I just didnt get out of my pjs. I have moped round the house all day. About an hour ago, I thought I would get out my stamping stuff and get creative and I made my cousin a card, he is moving to his own place... seeing it finished has picked my spirits up.

I have grazed all day... and havent tracked one thing! I rang my sister a moment ago and well I made plans for tomorrow, so I am looking forward to that and Sunday afternoon when I see my son again! I really am missing him!

Hi everyone just a quick good morning then I'm off to work. I didn't get on yesterday to chat as Tia cold decided to come on full strength now. I did make it through work and still went for a walk and actually ran some too. Hope to do the same tonight.

Shannon - have a wonderful vacation and well talk to you when you get back

Mumtoliam - today is a new day don't worry about what happened yesterday. Have fun with your sister and you'll see you son soon so just think of that.

Dora - you'll be losing again in no time. Hang in there. The weights will be making a big difference even if your not seeing it on the scales.

When does next challenge start? I think I am going to shoot for 145. Then really stop and maintain for a good while. Make sure its a good weight for me. So looks like I will need this next challenge!! :cheer3: Go Blue!!!

Hi everyone! No time for introduction just yet. I am from the blue team though. I wanted to thank the blue members for the congrats on being BL for blue team for the last week...only took me 13 weeks to get there lol. Also update on myself. I hit 183.4 today! Also I finally got my own apartment and move into it on my birthday! (April 29th) Things are finally starting to fall into place. And Bigmid you are right with my new job I don't need to add much exercise in. In fact today was the first day I exercised in 2 weeks and in that 2 weeks I have lost 4(!) pounds!!!

mumtoliam...i hope you get out of your funk soon....but sometimes...it just is a funk day! haha i can so relate!! so i just embrace those days...and slump around in pjs, until i feel like getting dressed....or not! lol being creative always helps!! i love to scrapbook but have never tried stamping! keep creating beautiful things and i'm sure you'll be back to being t-i-gg-e-r again real soon :) kudos to you too for being wise enough to call your sister and make plans that will force you out of the house!! Hi, I'm Kris from the blue team. I've been struggling for months and at this point weigh more than I did at the beginning of this challenge. Not sure what to do to get myself back on track . . . and stay there. I just don't seem to care anymore. I keep going up and down, up and down and am currently up 15 lbs from my lowest weight (from October).

Hang in there, MamaP! I had many many many days like that. Change up your menu, add some things, take out some things.. just try to stay healthy still. Lotsa water, etc. You know the drill. I have faith in you and I know you will bounce back! Look how much you have lost already! :cp: It is a long process and times like these it's a good idea to distract yourself with fun stuff and not think about losing for a while. Just try to maintain, takes the pressure off and gives you a break from feeling bad when the scale doesn't go down. I promise it helps. Then before you know it, the scale will move down and you will be off and running. Big hugsssss, let me know how you are doing. Feel free to message me too. I check at least a couple times a week. If you write I will answer, but might not be the same day. And you only have 20 lbs til Onederland!!!! I remember being 277, 230, 199, 177, all my goals. Dunno if I ever will really feel satisfied that this loss is enough. We will see! :)

Hi I'm having a super lazy day today I've been sick this week and today I'm off and now I haven't even got dressed yet.
I will have to at some point as I have my running class tonight.

Mama- hang in there I was ( am) where you are and wonder what the point is sometimes. But it is with sticking to. With the running I'm finally seeming some losses on the scale again. You too will find a balance again and will see the losses too. Like Selina said just maintain for a while. Take time to refocus you energy and begin again when your ready.

Page - Woohoo on the loss and the new apartment. That will be a wonderful birthday present.

Selina - not sure on the exact dates for the new challange. We will post them in early May though so keep watching.

Rainbow - no luck with the house yet the other two in the complex just sold so if anyone else wants in here we should be next. Thanks for asking

Just checking in one last time. We leave for the Philippines tomorrow night. A lot of last minute running around to do today. Yesterday we finished the school week with a Sports Day out at one of the arenas in town. It was a very nice day and I got a lot of additional exercise I usually don't get just hanging out in the classroom.

Hope everyone is doing well here on the purple team. See you in two weeks!

I am sooo struggling this week - I hate split parenting!!! >:( I just got off the phone to my son - we are going into winter and rather than put on warm clothes - they have their air con on heating. He is wearing his summer shorts still. I wonder if they have even bought him winter clothes yet! I can't afford to have my air con all the time, and rug up in my long pants and jumpers (tops- I know you have another name for them). When my son goes from house to house, he usually ends up sick.

Then we have planned for weeks to see Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2 at the movies with my nephews next week, and stupid ex takes my son to see it today. I am sure there are lots of other things he could have done, but no! The whole week has been a lot of little things... he told me in mediation(where we organised our custody arrangements) in Feb that because he has his own business he can take time off whenever he wants... but this week has gone to work and left our son with his new wife. In two weeks time, he is going on a vacation with his new wife without our son... where are his priorities! He told our son he was going to take him to Cairns this week, and the only thing he has done with him apart from eating dinner is see the movie. I suppose I can get over it, but it just erks me!

I am sorry for venting, but otherwise I could eat my house bare!

Things are moving slowly for me. I gained some momentum at the end of March, then gained during TOM at the beginning of April, and now I just keep bouncing up and down between 216 and 214...BLAH, I'm sick of it. My plan for this week is more protein, more fiber, less fat and less sodium. We'll see how that goes -- today will be a challenge with 2 birthday parties, and then another one tomorrow.

Happy weekend everyone! I'm so glad it's the weekend. DH and I finally have a mostly relaxing weekend ahead of us after a few busy ones in a row.

Just a quick drive-by post to share a HUGE victory for myself. This was my goal for the end of the BL challenge, a week late isn't too bad. ;)

Up 1lb to 217 today. I was 100 calories over plan yesterday, but I ate 3000 mg of sodium (19g fiber, 71g protein)...so I guess that's the issue. I also put all my weigh ins for April in an Excel spreadsheet along with the nutrient counts for fat/carbs/sodium/fiber and protein. I figure since it's my job to be analytical, observe and make recommendations I should apply those same principles to my weight loss -- so I'm treating myself like a client.

Peanut -- :bravo: Congratulations on getting to ONEderland!!! :bravo:

CanadaMel -- Congratulations on a vacation in Hawaii!! :lol:
