Me too! I'm really excited about it, which seems kind of silly, but it has been several years since I've walked a 5K. Really, several years since I've been in good enough shape that I will be able to walk a 5K like it's not a big deal. It feels like a celebration of how far I've come in the last 6 months. So, I can't wait!

I signed up last week. I'm very excited and it's my first time doing it. I'm also in the midst of training for a 5K run at the same time, I'll be very active these next couple of months.

Please keep me up to date on how it helps your journey. I'm wanting to run and I'm around the same weight, but am nervous.

Thanks.

BlueEyes83, I am walking by myself. Not a particular fan of it, but I assume it will get better.

KimberlyP, that sounds exciting! Let us know how they go.

I am doing it, not really training for it yet. I have been doing the elliptical for a while now so know I can make the 5k. My doc told me to stay off the treadmill, so I either have to train differently or wait for the weather to turn.

Looking forward to it!!!

All depends on your pase, I walk a mile in about 15-20 minutes so it will take me about an hour to walk.
