Default salad dressing ideas

I am getting bored with oil and vinegar as well as oil and vinegar based salad dressings. (looking at WI 6 on Monday). I have tried WF but neither my husbnad or I like them. As he says they have a "wang", in our opinion. haha I have also been through the recipe threads and have found some good ones. Just wanted something different. I tried this idea and wondered if it would be okay.

1 packet hidden valley ranch salad dressing mix
1 c. WF mayo
1 c. Water (recipe calls for milk)

It tasted pretty good. It has no carbs or sugars, but, has 5 cal per tsp. of dry mix.

I didn't think the cal. would hurt ........ any thoughts?

P.S. I am fairly new to this forum and wasn't sure if I am posting in the right place?

I like to use hummus. If you find it too thick you can water it down a bit with vinegar, lemon juice or just plain water.

Thanks for starting this thread! It reminded me of a dressing that I used to make when I first started IP, and realized now that I miss it . Mix plain yellow mustard with a little olive oil, water, and Splenda.

I use WF Ranch and add Frank's Red Hot sauce to it. Pretty good.

I've added horse radish to the WF Thousand Island dressing to help kick it up a notch. If you can find creole mustard - it's a great addition to the oil/vinegar.

I mix and match salad dressings all the time, typically something lighter low cal with a bit of higher cal for richness.

I love horseradish, gonna give that a try, thanks.
