Default Weekly challenges to kick things up a notch!

I really enjoy being a part of the monthly exercise and Spring challenges, and, since there are so many regulars here, I was thinking it might be fun to challenge ourselves on the shorter term as well!

How would you feel about joining together on a weekly basis to challenge ourselves on new, healthy South Beacher habits? You choose your goal like in the spring challenge. The goals may or may not be sustainable for long term, and can represent anything from the opportunity to "kick it up a notch" for the week to meet a weight goal, to just trying something new or reevaluating your efforts on a shorter term, etc.

I think that working in short term can be pretty helpful for any goal. If it's not working after one week, re-evaluate and modify or move on. If you're thriving and you like it stick with it for another week and beyond!

Things I'd like to challenge myself to do include working out every day for the week, vegetarianism or veganism for a week, water only -- ie no diet soda -- (might do this one a few times to try to make it stick), phase 1 for a week, avoiding the scale until weigh-in day, etc.

Any thoughts?

I would like this weekly challenge. I lose steam sometimes before a month is over.

Great -- I'm so glad there's interest! I guess we can start April 3rd to coincide with the new On Plan Thread.... and give a little time to think about goals!

Are we each doing a separate goal, or one big goal as a group?

I think separate goals are a bit more practical in general. However, if someone has a goal that works for others, there's nothing stopping them from being "in" on it and tackling it together for the week!
