I go on holiday 4 weeks today. I have been doing quite well but I'd like to set myself a challenge by the time I go away.

I really want to lose 8lbs by the time I go. Thats 2 lbs a week. I'll be so so proud of myself if I manage to do it :D

good luck!! you can do itt!!! I have my first wedding dress fitting that same week and I would love to lose 8 pounds by then too! keep us updated!!

Ok I will do. Thanks for the support. Would be so good to feel even a tad slimmer and healthier going on holiday. We had a look at things to do there last night, and we're going to goto this huge waterpark, and spend a day walking round a zoo. Also, we've found a big indoor play area that we think the babby will love, and I want to be able to chase her round it and not get so worn out!

Can't wait for my holiday :D

You can do it!!! I have a goal to be 190 (22 lbs) by my high school graduation on may 38.

I think it'll probably help if I keep a record of what I eat on here, so if things don't go to plan I'll be able to see where things have gone wrong...

So day one of my 4 wk plan:
Breakfast: Smoothie (one 330ml glass) made from strawberries, banana and greek yogurt - I made a jug full to keep in the fridge for the week. (161)
Mid-morning snack: Handful or grapes (52)
Lunch: Cauliflower mash with one triangle of dairylea light (116). Plus 8 crab sticks (115).
Tea: Lasagna (378) and side salad (17)
Dessert: another Smoothie. (161)
Supper: Medium pita bread (124) cut into fingers with salsa dip (25). Plus one boiled egg (68).

TOTAL: 1201

I'm using fitday to monitor my calorie intake. And I feel like I've eaten alot today. But even adding my supper for tonight I won't have even had 1100 calories all day. Do you think fitday is adding things up wrong? Or do you think I really haven't eaten that much?

sorrie, i do not know anything about fitday. sometimes i use calorieking to see how many calories are in the food i am eating. i find that they have a lot of options and varieties.

just wanted to say, GOOD LUCK!!! i was reading on another thread, that one lady regretted not taking pictures of her progress in a diary form, thought i would suggest it to you so that it could be motivation in the future for you to see how well you have done!

I've read that thread too. And I recently bought a digital camera so I might try taking a photo everytime I lose 10lbs or something. I think I would like to be able to see my progress :) Thanks for suggesting it.

Breakfast: 2 slices toast (160) with peanut butter (94)
Lunch: One wrap (184) with quorn (77), lettuce (2) and 3 cherry tomatoes (9). Plus handful or grapes (52)
Afternoon snack: Tuna+veg sushi (231)
Tea: Lasagna (378) and side salad (17)
Dessert: Drifter bar (99)

TOTAL: 1304

Breakfast: 2 slices wholemeal toast (160) with margarine (37) and grilled mushrooms (126)
Mid-morning snack: Handful or raspberries (13)
Lunch: Sweet chilli chicken wrap (445) from tescos and a creme egg (174)
Tea: Baguette (360) with quorn (77) and houmous (54)
Supper: Carrot sticks and houmous (97)

TOTAL: 1543

Breakfast: overslept so no breaky. Not good (0)
Lunch: BLT bagel (420) and 8 mini carrot waffles (200)
Tea: WW Pasta salad (285) and Fruit bag (42)

TOTAL: 947

Wow, you've lost 9 pounds already and are on your way to your next 8. Congrats! Btw, carrot waffles sound yummy! I wonder if we have those in Canada. You're going to make it!

Aww thanks guys. I'm trying so hard and I reeeaalllly wanna meet my goal for holiday. I decided to walk the 2.5 miles to work instead of getting a bus, and I've just finished work (at McDonalds) and even though I'm really hungry (my tummy is grumbling - I can hear it) I opted to not get a cheeseburger even though I really want one. I'm going to wait and have some carrot sticks and houmous when I get home :)

Thats a very good goal! I set mine pretty high but really there was nothing big in my life happening that I wanted it done by so I thought well when I go to this Keith urban concert in July I want to have lost 40lbs I know thats a lot to ask but hey maybe maybe with lots of good eating and hard work it can be done! I would love to put on some cute clothes and feel good when I go!

I'm sure thats possible! Just keep going. I've found that recording everything I eat where people can see it is driving me to keep going.

Breakfast: Raspberries and grapes.(100)
Lunch: McDonalds 3 chicken selects (360)and a side salad (10). (Treated the little 'un to lunch there - plus I've been doing quite well and think I deserved a treat)
Tea: Chicken (260), Mini carrot waffles (200) and beans (200)
TOTAL: 1130

Day six:

Breakfast: 2 eggs (155) and soldiers (172) with olive spread on (40)
Lunch: Tinned tomatoes (150) with a wrap (218) full of salad(10), cheese spread (35) and bacon (87)
Mid-afternoon: Creme egg McFlurry. Really enjoyed it so worth the cals (405)
Tea: BAD ONE!! Skipped tea time cos we werent hungry- but ended up getting a chinese about 10:30pm..not doing that again! I had a chow mein (842)

TOTAL: 2114

Breakfast: No breakfast again. Oops.
Lunch: (went out) Vegetable chilli (187) with polenta cakes (120), and garlic bread (160). Also stole about chips off my boyfriends plate (162)
Dessert: White magnum (170)
Tea: 2 wraps with chicken and salad, and mini waffles. (595)
TOTAL: 1492

Only remembered to weigh myself last night! Down another 3lbs :D I aimed to lose 8lbs in 4 weeks. Down 6 after 2...I don't want to change my goal but I'm feeling really optimistic
