I recently had two...

1) Leaned down to release the gas cap. For the last five years I've had to open my seat belt to do that. It took a few minutes to realize that I had reached it easily wearing my seat belt!

2) Four or five years ago I bought a pair of brushed corduroy jeans, absolutely beautiful and they ALMOST fit. Saturday night I cut the tags off and wore them...they fit beautifully! (For the last five years I couldn't get them past my ankles because I had gained weight almost as soon as I bought them.

Lower numbers on the scale are great...but hey, this is what it is all about!

What are your nsvs?

It's taken over 2 years but I'm pretty much in all of my bigger pre-pregnancy pants! :D I still have a few pairs that I'm going to have to lose another 10-20lbs to get into because my stomach has just changed its shape so much but it's definitely a great start!

Oh, and DH has really been noticing my weight loss and keeps giving me compliments! He's also been getting more serious about his weight loss and I'm just so proud of him because of it.

I can run 75% of the way to the store it is my goal to run to without stopping. Before, I couldn't run more than a minute without being too out of breath and in pain to continue

I went on a date with my husband Saturday night. We were sitting at the table and he was eyeing me. He asked, " How much weight have you lost?" I reminded him that I committed myself to staying off the scale for the month of March so I don't know yet. He said, "Well whatever you're doing is working, you look really hot right now." Definitely a NSV! =)

Also, I've biked over 300 miles this month so far.

3. Yesterday I tried on my size 6 Lerners New York polyester pants I bought about 15 yrs ago...AND IT FIT!!!:carrot:

yesterday I was given some size 22 skirts. I started out in a 26--tight 24. So I slid one on not expecting to be able to even close it but it zipped right up!

Its been years since I even put on a size 22. Its a feeling I could definately get addicted to! hopefully I fit into some 20's soon! :D

Last June I was in a size 26. This month, I'm in a 16. I can finally shop in the "regular" size section instead of plus sizes, for the first time in 12/13 years. I don't love my body yet, but I'm a lot more comfortable with it than I have been in years. And I can finally go shopping with my girlfriends... none of them need to shop at Lane Bryant or Avenue, so it's been nice to actually go shopping with friends again!

I can easily fit in booths at restaurants now. My belly doesn't even come close to hitting my steering wheel anymore. I can bend down to tie my shoes. I can walk as fast as (and often faster) than my kids.

I bought some pants on Saturday since mine are getting too big. They are size 12!!! Down from 16!
I searched for some older but never worn jeans in the closet and they fit! And a top that is longer but was too tight around my hips but now I can wear it! Yay!
(If winter ever ends up here, that is.)

Had a client re-refer after 5 years. When he came in he said "Oh i wanted to see the psych. I saw before."

I said, yah that was me.

He said, "no no, she's a really big gal, really big gal"

I said, YAH that was me! hahahahah it was awesome for some reason

2. Can walk up 3 flights of stairs to my apartment with out getting too winded.

3. Can run .80 miles straight with out stopping to walk :)

Trazey - I LOVE yours!

~I climbed a mountain.
~We do these stretches in my weight lifting class that look like you are proposing to someone when you do it, I can now change which leg I am kneeling on without using my hands to balance myself.
~I'm no longer nervous about why someone is looking at me (they're checking out the hot chick, duh! :dizzy:)
~I am confident enough to go take fitness classes and do other fitness oriented things off of the base - away from my normal gym/comfort zone.
~When I go to the sporting goods store they don't ignore me and talk only to my hubby anymore.

I can get on the ground and get up easier
I can go for walks and it doesn't hurt until about mile 2.5 out of 3.
I don't get winded as easily
I feel lighter on my feet
I can bend down to play with the cat comfortably
Tying my shoes isn't an ordeal
I've gone from a 24-26 to an 18
I've gone from a 44H to a 40 DDD

I bought jeans at the Gap the other day. It's the biggest size they sell (20), but I can shop at the Gap now!

Seeing as i haven't had any scale victories yet anyway, i like this post!

*I can do PUSHUPS! Yes, the modified ones..but just a couple of weeks ago i couldn't even do one properly. I can also handle more plank positions.
*Putting socks on, moisturizing my feet, basically anything where i have to bend forward and put my foot across my thigh is getting easier!
*I have confidence in myself from sticking with my workouts..and that i actually go to the gym more than i workout at home. That's HUGE for me seeing as a lot of my social anxiety centers around thinking everyone is looking at me thinking "look at the fat girl." Don't get me wrong..i still have my days when i'm walking past the skinny, fit chicks at the gym..but hey i'm there too and i'm working my *** off too!

A few articles of clothing (a blazer, pair of jeans, scrub pants) fit much nicer now. Makes me feel so much more confident in them :)

I thought our fairly new mattress had a broken spring. Turns out it's just that there's a lot less padding on my hip bones.

Today I tried on an old pair of size 16 jeans that still had tags -- and they fit! I fully expected them to be a bit tight but they fit perfectly! Those jeans are the smallest pants I have left so now I have an excuse to go shopping. :) Woohoo!

I have taken my bra from the last clasp (which was way too snug) to the very smallest clasp which is too loose. It will be another week or two until I can wear it (due to weaning) but I went an got measured for a bra and they said I needed a 38! :carrot: Girls have gone from a D to an E though. :(

I also have less back fat bulge around the band of my bra which is making my shirts look much more flattering.

That must have been great! I recently did that at the spa. I requested the massage therapist I saw a year ago and when she came up I insisted they must have made a mistake. She laughed.

I can't wait to be on the otherside of that exchange!

4 days into the 30 Day Shred my squats are already lower and I've gone from using no weights to using 2lb weights. :D Not as much as some, but better than it was!

I been going to the gym for about 2 weeks. After I walk about 30 min. on the treadmill I work on the machines, then I do the eliptical machine. The first day I barely got to 1 min. on the eliptical, but today I did 9 min.. Its not much I know but it made me feel like I was making progress! :)
