Awhile ago, probably about 4 years ago, I was able to run 2 miles everyday. I would really like to get back to the 2 mile mark within a few weeks and you know what, today I proved that I can do that!

Last week, when I was running, I was only running 1/4 of a mile during my workout. Well, this week, I thought, why not, lets push it - I cranked out a 1/2 mile both Monday and Tuesday. Well, today we had a snow day, so I had plenty of extra time to workout. And I really pushed myself - I did 3/4 of a mile! Now, now, I know that I have to make sure I don't completely wear myself out, but I'm excited because my body is responding!!!

Goal: Run 2 miles by April 16 (my daughter's 7th birthday). I see no reason why I can't do this! :carrot:

Congrats! I just realized a few days ago how much of running is mental. I ran my first mile this weekend (15 min/1.25 miles), when the most I had done previously was 1/2 mile/6 min!

If you believe you can do it, chances are your body can too! Best of luck. Keep us posted!

You are inspiring me to run again. I have avoided it for now with my exercise, but I have to agree it is a "mental" thing. I will get on the treadmill at the Y this week and give it a shot!
