Hi everyone! My name is Lindsay and I am a 20 year old college student from Massachusetts. I have struggled with my weight my whole life, and I was at my heaviest around November 2009. I weighed about 260 lbs, and that number terrified me, therefore, I decided to turn my life around. As of right now, I am down to 215, and I have gone from a jean size 26 to an 18. I am very happy with all of the weight that I have lost so far. However, I would love to get down to 175, and of course I'm open to something lower as well. I have pretty much lost all of that weight without exercise, and just by changing my eating habits. I do currently have a gym membership, and had hopes that adding exercise would propel me to lose even more weight. However I have come to realize that I need a little more structure in my exercise program if I am going to stay motivated and exercise on a regular basis. Therefore, I have signed up for a kickboxing program that I will be beginning tomorrow, I am ecstatic about getting started, and I am looking forward to losing even more weight and hopefully reaching my goal weight of 175.

I understand that losing weight takes time and determination. And me being someone who tends to give up if I don't see immediate results, I am hoping to find some encouragement and support from 3FC. I look forward to reading all of your stories, and hopefully I can offer some encouragement to you as well. :)

Welcome Lindsey, Glad to have you join us. My advice is to look for a Support group, Chat, or Challange to join; small groups make it easier to get connected. Most sub-forums have groups covering almost every need, find one that inspires or motivates you and just post to join. You might try the 20-Somethings for a start.

I started last night, and it was pretty intense. But your statement sure does excite me and makes me want to persevere no matter how tough it gets, thanks!
