Default I just want to eat my face off.

This is really stupid. I'm having a really difficult time processing my emotions right now. I haven't eaten all day because I know if I start I won't stop. I really really need someone to talk me down. I'm here because I feel like this board is the only place people will understand this. Ugh, I'm a mess .

I can imagine Japan is a stressful place to be right now...I'm not good at talking people down, but I think that the best thing to do, if you can, would be to make a nice hot cup of tea and then think about a nice, filling, good for you meal you can make and eat - if this is something you can do.

Sorry if I completely missed the mark, but you're right, we're here for you.

Thanks. That's exactly what I needed. I'm so so so fortunate to be outside of the Tsunami zone but so many people are suffering and I just feel so... helpless... heartbroken... I don't know.

I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to help my students at school through this tomorrow. I can hardly keep my own thoughts together.

I brewed a cup of tea and it's helping immensely. Thank you.

I totally understand - I felt similarly a couple of weeks back with the big earthquake in Christchurch down here in New Zealand.

I'm glad the tea is helping. Just being there for your students will be good I'm sure.

I'm glad you're okay. I was in Christchurch at the time of the big quake this year, so I know how you're feeling.

All you can do is be there for your students--try to bring some normality back to an impossible situation. Remember, you're not on your own. These sort of things bring society together for the better.

Hi Val! I'm glad you're ok. There really isn't a guide book for disasters like this and you really just have to do the best you can. Glad the tea is helping and good luck tomorrow

First of all, be thankful you're not in the tsunami zone. Secondly, be strong for yourself, know that everyone will make it through this, then you can be strong for your students. You can't reassure someone of something you don't believe yourself. Lastly, relax, do something to ease your mind (listen to music, drink tea, watch a movie, etc.). We're all glad you're safe!
