I know alot of us are focused on the weight aspect of weight loss but lets not forget our measurements take a hit as well. So for those of you who take measurements as well I wanted to start this thread.

Waist: 61 1/2 inches
RA (Right Arm): 17 1/4 inches
LA (Left Arm): 18 1/2 inches
RT (Right thigh): 27 inches
LT (Left thigh): 29 inches
Hips: 64 1/2 inches
Breast: 63 inches

I Will do this once a week to see if there are any changes in measurements as well as weight.

I will do this with you! I will take my measurements now then update on Sundays because that's my weigh-in day. :) I added some extra measurements that I would like to monitor for myself.

The only measurement I have taken in the past is waist, and I started at 55 inches.

3/8/11:
Waist: 46
Upper Stomach: 47.5
Bust: 46.5
Under Bust: 41.5
Hips: 44.5
Neck: 16
RA (Right Arm): 13.5
LA (Left Arm): 13

You know what, I will. I do my weight ins on Sunday so I can just get it all in then and also have a better idea of what's going on with my body since the scale isn't always the best measurement. Hope you don't mind I added some measurements. Once upon a time a 20" necklace would choke me or just not fasten and bracelets and watches were a nightmare. Same with boots that go over your calf. I'd like to see those areas change on me, so I put them in with the others.

same for me!!!! I can't wear necklaces..my neck is too fat. I have to get extenders or something!

Well ladies I gained in some and lost in others so here are my measurements

Waist: 61 inches
RA (Right Arm): 17 inches
LA (Left Arm): 16 3/4 inches
RT (Right thigh): 28 inches
LT (Left thigh): 29 1/2 inches
Hips: 64 1/2 inches
Breast: 61 inches

i lost in waist, RA, LA, and breast. I stayed the same in hips. but gained in my thighs. Overall I am happy about this weeks measurements.:D

Hey, ladies, I'm going to jump in with a single number: 70. That's my darned hip measurement, which is out of proportion to the rest of me and makes clothing so hard. When I see some reduction there, my quality of life will improve, so I'm just going to do that one number :)

I am down 1.6 lb this week but found absolutely no change in my measurements. Hopefully next week!!

waist-49 inches minus 2

hips 58 inches minus 4(seems like a lot..i hope i measured in the same spot i kept redoing this one)

All in all not too bad considering. Silly water weight. I had a 7lb gain this week despite being POP and having 5 workouts this week! I hate being a girl sometimes. It will be fun to see it disappear as soon as TOM is over. I'm sick with the flu too so I'm just not going to worry about it right now. Good luck with your WI's this week everyone! i don't know how accurate these are..hope i am measuring in the same spot, the only one i know is the exact same spot would be my waist..

I hate taking my measurements...too much work! But I do like finding I fit in a different size. And now that I'm a little smaller, I find I can fit in some clothes at Nordstroms that I haven't been able to wear in a very long time.

When I started on my road toward optimum health (I've always been on the road to losing weight, but there seemed to be an awful lot of junk food palaces on that route!) I was wearing size 30/32 pants and 28 tops at Lane Bryant. I can now just barely fit into the size 24 pants and tops at Nordstrom's and Macy's. I remember my hips used to measure 64" and now they're just under 57".

There are two pairs of size 24 pants and one size 22 in my closet, waiting for me to lose enough so that I don't have to lay down to zip them. Sooooo looking forward to that!

I skipped a week due to TOM, but I was ready to face the scale/measurements today :)

Bust: 50 (no change for all 3 weeks now!)
Waist: 53 (-2.5 inches in 2 weeks and -4 overall)
Hips: 58 (-1 inch in 2 weeks and -2 overall)
Thigh: 34.5 (-1 inch in 2 weeks and -1.25 overall)
Calf: 23 (no change in 2 weeks and -1 overall)
Neck: 17 (+.25 inches and -.25 overall)

Upper Stomach = before 59 after 52 (!)
Waist = before 48 after 47.5
Lower Stomach/Hips = before 59 after 57.5
Left Thigh = before 28.5 after 28
Right Thigh = before 27.5 after 27
Left Calf = before 18 after 17.5
Right Calf = before 18 after 17.5

Looks like a little progress on all fronts, but mostly losing my belly and the fat that's left is starting to sag (it feels like that too). No complaints though - I am very pleased with these results!

As I am at the end of another 6 week period in my tracking, I'm reporting measurements as of 6/25 - 8 pounds lost since 5/15:
Neck = before 15.5 after 15.25
Left Arm = before 16.75 after 16
Right Arm = before 17.25 after 16.5
Rib Cage (bra band) = before 42.5 after 42
Upper Stomach = before 52 after 48
Waist = before 47.5 after 47
Lower Stomach/Hips = before 57.5 after 56
Left Thigh = before 28 after 26.5
Right Thigh = before 27 after 25
Left Calf = before 17.5 after 17.5
Right Calf = before 17.5 after 17.5

is there a specific way or is it an individual thing?
for me, i am concerned about my gut and i don't see any measurements for that particular area.

Basically, no changes. At least I havent gained any weight/inches. I have a new resolve for the new 6 week period.
