Hi all,
Hope everyone had a great weekend. My visit with my parents went well. My mom has agreed to see a Lyme specialist in her town and my dad is supportive. I will be going to this appointment with her and am going to call today to schedule it. I'll keep everyone posted. We probably won't be able to go until next month.

AF is on her way, and I'm feeling a little sad and physically not so great. My b**bs hurt like h**l and I have just a general malaise. I also feel down because of what is going on with my parents and plus my son is growing up so fast. Can't wait for her to arrive so I can get on with my life.

Anyway, I think this will be a good week at work - it's break so no classes and things will be a little more chill. Hope everyone has a great day.

You know the last time I had those symptoms, Matilda, I ended up being pregnant. ;) I'm glad things went well with your parents and that your work week looks good.

I am struggling today because I ate a bunch of junk yesterday. Sundays are so hard for me because we're out of the house from 8:00 in the morning until 5:00 at night and I already have to prep so many other things that prepping a whole day worth of food is just overwhelming. I need to come up with a better plan than just chucking any semblance of healthy eating out of the window, though. Today is just awful with the cravings.

Connor has off of school today and tomorrow for a German holiday so I'm taking the kids to see the third Narnia movie this afternoon. Tomorrow we have a BIG parade in town and Kadyn and Connor (and Avery, Lukas, and I ) are walking with the Scouts. Should be fun!

Off to get the cleaning done before the movie starts.

Good morning, Mmckellen!!! Hope your mom gets some relief from the specialist. I've never known anybody that's dealt w/ Lyme disease but I've heard it can be extremely difficult to deal with. And here's to AF coming and going quickly for you. I don't know about you, but it's so much worse waiting for her to get here...ugh!!! All that water weight and just general gross feeling. BLECH!!!

I'm giggling to myself right now b/c a lot of you are waking up and putting on a cup of coffee and I'm winding down w/ a glass of wine, LOL Ahhhhh, the perks of nightshift!!! ;) No plans for today besides gym and doing my run for my first day of Week 3 of C25K. Got my March 5K this weekend w/ my mom...yay!!! :)

Okay, polishing off my glass of wine (umm, it's nearly half the bottle, LOL) and then hitting the hay. Goodnight, ladies.

Oops, you snuck in on me, Kara!!! LOL Sorry you're dealing w/ cravings today. Nothing to do but get right back on track, right??? ;)

Good morning, Matilda and those to come. Boy, I sure don't miss Aunt Flo! Getting older does have some advantages. Of course, Uncle Arthur Itis comes around a lot.

Yesterday was a day of struggle. :( My car was frozen shut and took a lot of work to get into. Not a good start to a cold and blizzardy day! I spent part of the afternoon messing around with my sump pump since water was coming into my basement. Paul will be here this morning to fix or replace the darn thing.

I did manage to get some organizing done for today's quilting meeting where I am teaching chicken pincushions and stack and whack coasters. I have my doctor appointment first and am hoping the news is good. (I've been on a new med for blood sugar.)

So here we go with a brand new week. Let's make it a good one. :cofdate:

Good morning :coffee2: Apparently my little corner of Vermont lucked out. Everyone else has 1-2' of snow and we just had rain. Unfortunately I'm supposed to head north for a meeting. Right now I'm just waiting to hear what we are doing.

Mathilda- AF is so not my friend these days - 3 months missing then shows up every 15-20 days. Good times :dizzy:
So glad your Mom is taking your suggestion and that you're going with her. Let us know how it goes.

Kara - I struggle with days away too. Hope the cravings pass quickly.

Kitty vomit, back in a bit

That was a fun way to start the day.

Sweet dreams Natasha :)

Ruth - No fair, both visitors spend too much time in my house :(
Yesterday sounds unpleasant. I hope today is better!

Still waiting to hear the plan for today. :crossed: I hope it includes a later meeting time. Hope your Monday is uncomplicated and it's Happy Hour before you know it!

Natasha, have a good sleep! I hope you wine was nice. I wish I liked wine. I always feel so childish when we go out to eat and I order water.

Ruth, you must elaborate on "stack and whack coasters". That sounds intriguing! Hope your meeting goes well and that the pump repair is quick and easy!

Cyndi, have a safe drive today!

Matilda, I'm glad your mom agreed to see the Lyme specialist and hope he can help her manage her disease. I hope you start feeling much better as the day unfolds.

Kara, I hope you get a handle on those cravings. That should be fun, walking in the parade tomorrow. I hope the weather cooperates for it!

Natasha, as much as I love wine, it sure doesn't sound too appealing to me at the moment. That's a pleasant way to unwind after a long night's work, though, and I hope it lulls you into a restful sleep.

The field behind our house has become a lake with all the rain, but it's finally stopped and the sun may make an appearance by noon. No complaints from me, though, since it stayed above freezing. :)
I'll be heading out the farm shortly to see what awaits me after the weekend. Mondays are always busy with errands and whatnot, but there's no after school activity today and I should be able to leave at a decent hour.

Ruth, it sounds like you had a heck of a day yesterday. Today has to be better! BTW, I'm using your stack & whack coaster right this minute for my coffee. What are you going to use as a filler for the chicken pincushions? I think small beans would work nicely.

Cyndi, so glad you dodged the snow and sure hope you can avoid driving in it today! Yuck, kitty vomit. That's the main reason I haven't given in to adopting a pet. I just couldn't deal with cleaning up after them, although they are so dear.

Cottage, I'm using aquarium gravel, very fine but won't "leak" the way sand does. I am also going to try steel cut oats or quinoa - whichever is cheaper at the Bulk Barn. Beans are a bit too lumpy. (Once I made a beanbag frog that got left outside. The beans sprouted and made one messy and smelly amphibian!)

Good morning ladies! Another on program day for me yesterday and a good mindset today. Started last monday had a cheat meal on Wednesday, back on track for Wed night meal and clean since. Cheat meal couldn't be helped, really. DH is retired and loves to go out to lunch and he wasn't ready for me to start a diet yet , his words, and had planned to go to our favorite chinese buffett. So, I went not too happy...didn't do too bad and got right back on track. We usually go out to eat once a week so I'll have to be creative on where I want to go. Doesn't help that he likes me big! UGH! More issues to deal with. Baby steps! Okay, I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. I sure am enjoying reading all the past posts...you are all inspirational!

Good morning! Doesn't it seem that Mondays roll around fast?

Matilda - Glad to hear it went well. But bummer you are blue

Kara - Hope today passes quickly for you and the takes the cravings with it.

Natasha - Good night!

Ruth - I had to read about your uncle several times to get it, LOL.

Cyndi - Drive safely!

Linda - Glad you only got rain. I'm hoping our snow days are over. And that I did not jinx myself writing that!

Kristen - Yay for being back on track. We eat out way less but now my husband will go with his brother now and then.

Today we take our second car in to be repaired. This is the one the teen drives that someone walked on top of and caused the roof to cave in. It is about $2300 in damages but insurance is paying most of it. Unfortunately we will be without it for a week. My BIL is loaning us his junker but the teen will be carless. Yikes!

Also working out with my mom and trainer today. And then home for cardio. Busy morning.

Have a great day everyone.

Apparently it's really awful up north so phone meeting today. That will make tomorrow crazy because there are things I need to pick-up before my meeting tomorrow night. It will be a big driving day and a late one  oh well

Cottage - I can't imagine not having kitties. They aren't too messy though I always seem to end up with one with an eating disorder (eats too fast sometimes). We have two so they keep each other company and are best friends. That way we never feel guilty going away overnight :)

On the plus side I'll get lost done today and they had an extra PT appt. for me today which I can really use. Time to get stuff done

Good morning (afternoon for me!)

Matilda - I feel for you! Mine has just finished, but it is on its way again. I'm thankful for the two day break and cursing my stupid hormones.

I had a typical Monday at work, battling with a class of children who didn't want to be back after the weekend. By 8:30 I'd won them over, but it was physically tiring :-) Now I have my first Pilates class! I've been wanting to do a course for ages, so I'm excited to be finally starting!

Have a tolerable Monday!

Hello!
Matilda, I'm so glad things went well yesterday.
Ruth, what a day you had yesterday - I hope everything goes especially well for you today.
Kara, enjoy the movie.
Natasha, I'm glad you enjoy your night shifts. Fergie worked nights for a few years when our kids were in middle school. They affectionately called him 'batman' because he'd be heading to bed when we were heading to school. He liked the nickname (we think he was thinking super hero). The kids were thinking of the bats that live in our barn though.
Cyndi I'm glad you and Julie weren't snowed on - you've shoveled enough for one winter!
Linda, I hope your lake subsides quickly. We've got a lake in our driveway... well, a slushy lake. We're still trying to decide if we'll be better off clearing it now or waiting. At least the slush will give a little traction - we had glare ice out there earlier this winter and it wasn't pretty!
Good morning kmac, Karen and Claire! I can't keep up - every time I preview my post there are new posts waiting!

No school here again today, this time because of snow and freezing rain. It was a good call, I wouldn't have wanted to be on the roads this morning and I surely wouldn't have wanted my kids on a school bus today.

It's an unexpected day at home, but I've got it planned out already. I'm going to organize cabinets and closets. Fergie is good about putting dishes and laundry away now that he's retired and I'm working, but he's got a habit of just shoving things in and shutting the doors quick. It drives me batty but I never say a word. I'd rather tidy and organize every now and then than have to deal with it all after work every day.

Have a great Monday friends.

Good morning,

Matilda- glad to hear your mom is willing to go to the specialist

Kara- I am with you unfortunately yesterday I ate junk food and it seemed like i ate it all day long, ugh back on track today.

Natasha- hope you enjoyed your wine, I don't drink it as it gives me a headache.

Karen- did you find out who walked on the roof of the car?

 to everyone else.

I am dragging a bit today so need to kick it up some. I started the 30 day shred dvd this morning and after 5 minutes I was like I am done- so I took it out and did my own cardio circuit workout just could not do it today. I think I am mad because everytime I do the 30 day shred my weight loss stalls and the dvd kicks my behind so I should see something on the scale.

Have a great day everyone.

Just Started back on SB after gaining back the 90 Lbs! I lost a few years ago. Thought I would try to chat about it this time. You all seem so supportive, so hope you won't mind if I stop in from time to time.

Thanks!:)

Morning all on this beautiful sunny day (or at least partly sunny).
Thanks Matilda for gathering the beachers together this morning. So glad that your folks listened to you. Thank goodness my AF doesn't come around any more (getting older does have a few advantages). We never did have a good relationship and I honestly can say I don't miss her at all.

Kara, finding time to prep can be a challenge at times especially with a young family. What a fun way to get some exercise, much more exciting than just walking down my old country road I think. Hang in there today, keep busy and it will pass.

Night Nat, hope you sleep well. I know I would after that much wine :).

Ruth, you are so funny. I am visited with that same uncle quite often. Got my (pricked) fingers crossed that your lab results come back good today. Don't forget to post pictures of pincushions and coasters if you can. Would love to see them.

Cyndi, gross :)! And before I got my first cup of joe down. Glad it's you and not me, especially this early in the morning. Hope she is alright though. Hope you enjoy your at home day and glad you don't have to travel in those conditions.

Linda, have a busy fun day at the farm.

Good for you Kmac! Mindset is so important. Chinese would be a difficult one but proud of you for getting right back on track.

Karen, Have a great workout. A teen without a car, oh my!

Heidi, if you run out of cabinets and closets, come my way as I have plenty that can use your talents.

Well, time to jump in the shower then go for my walk. Later I'll do a few house chores and then run out to the post office to mail some books and pick up a few fresh vegs. Keeping a fresh supply in the frig sure makes for more frequent trips to the grocery store.

I tried the weight training dvd yesterday and I can honestly say I just don't like doing it at all! I could even use the "hate" word. So I don't think that is going to work. May try it a few more times but it just isn't my thing. Walking is so much nicer.

Hope we all can manage a good on plan day and for those who are struggling with cravings today, hope you can find the :dust: to make it through the day.

Hi Everyone:sunny:

I've just returned from the airport in Denver...seeing my sister off. We left at 6am and it was foggy and slick. I'm hungry and glad to be home.

There is no way I'd ever catch up with everyone today....soooo

I'll just say how much you all mean to me. This is such a supportive crew! I was thinking early this morning that there is no way I'd still be staying the course with my weightloss without all of you. When I got home today, I was missing my sis and started my check ins. There was a very sad and emotional post from the sister of our friend who is now paralyzed. I cried, then got a piece of fruit and came here. It cheered me up so much to catch up with the daily chatter. I can take some deep breaths and make a commitment to steer clear of emotional eating today.

Guess I'll go search out some lunch and try to call Okie (BellaLucia).

 Back from the doc and a productive morning spent with the Quilting Group. My doc gave me a big hug and told me my cholesterol/triglycerides were fantastic! He's also pleased that I have lost 12 pounds since January - and so am I! Now I need to deal with getting more fibre and water AND get back to the gym.

here is a box of Chicken Pincushions. Too cute!

Ruth,
The pincushions are adorable!!! Now if I could just visualize stack and whack coasters.... Great news from your Doc! I think more docs should give hugs.

I'm at the library now using their wifi. I can't get anything done at home right now.

Good evening, ladies. Just got done at the gym and am waiting on my roommate to get home so we can go pick out a movie to watch tonight. Our schedules don't permit us much time to hang out together, it seems. Either way, she hasn't been able to find a part time job since moving here and, if she doesn't find one by the end of this month, she's more than likely packing up and moving back to New Jersey. :(

Ruth - I bet you are ready for that cold weather to move on!!! Sounds like you had a crappy day to start but it also sounds like it got MUCH better as it progressed. ;) And those chicken pincushions are to frigging cute!!!

Cyndi - Glad you lucked out on the snow...and glad you didn't have to drive in that. Hope tomorrow isn't too awful busy for you.

Kara - I actually HATE wine usually, but this wine is just SO good. It's Castello de Poggio brand (served at Olive Garden) and it's Moscato. OMG, so yummy...and that comes from someone who can't stand most wines. Martini and Rossi Asti Spamante is really good, too.

Cottage - Yanno, that was actually some of the best sleep I've had in a while. Maybe I'm on to something!!! ;)

kmac - and Pearlrose - -

WaistingTime - Monday couldn't come soon enough for me!!! ;) I worked all weekend so Monday, for me, is like Saturday...yay Saturmonday!!! So, the "someone" that walked on the top of the car...was this a stranger or a friend of the teen??? My brother's friends used to do stupid stuff w/ his car...his hood was all dented in by the time he got rid of it. For some reason I read that as your BIL is lending you a car but your teen would be CARELESS...LOL Focus, eyeballs...focus.

Claire - Good luck w/ Pilates!!! I've done a little bit and it was really hard for me...I'm thinking I have to be in even better shape before trying it again. LOL

Heidi - Oh I totally get "batman." The only other person in my house that works nights is my brother and he gets home at 2 in the morning as opposed to my 0730 hrs (after gym time, that is).

Amanda - Congrats on another pound down...woot woot!!!

Sharona - Welcome!!! :) Make yourself at home. ;)

TallandThin - Sorry you don't like the weight training DVD...maybe you can find another one that you like more??? I tried some Tae-Bo the other day and quickly came to the conclusion that Billy Blanks is the devil. No fat person should EVER be told to spread their legs apart and bend over until the top of their head touches the ground...WTF, Billy Blanks!?!?!?

Lexxiss - Awwwww, what a lovely post!!! :) Yay for no emotional eating!!! :)

Porthardygurl - Hope the baby's doctor appointment goes well. Hmmmm....did you find the barbecue sauce recipe here or is it one you came up with??? If so, care to share???

Okay, off to Wally World w/ the roomie. Have a good night, everybody!!!
