Hey everyone! :D It is exactly 4 months until July 4th. I thought it would make a fun challenge.

I personally want to get to Onderland by then. I weighed in this morning at 233.0 so I'll give myself a goal of 35 lbs by July 4th to give myself that extra buffer pound.:dizzy:

Perfect timing!!! I'm needing to get back on track after this week... I'd love to be at least down to 195 (well, at least 199). Hoping to be closer to 190. How's that for a precise goal!!?! :D

195 and 190 both sound like great goals! I say lean for the higher one, if you surpass it you can always lower it :)

I'm only weighing twice a month but I'll join in. :) I'm hoping to be down 25lbs by the first week of June or so. We're going on vacation in Florida then. So I guess I can say I hope to be down around 30 by July 4th.

I'd like to be in the mid-170s by the Fourth of July. Not sure if my body will let me do it but I think that would be a nice goal so I'm in.

SMSDREAMER2007, Given you are starting at a high weight, its completely possible to lose 10ish pounds a month, just be warned you could be doing everything right and your body may not cooperate as much as you want, its different for everyone. Ill keep my fingers crossed for you!

niafabo- that also sounds completely doable, lets hope your body cooperates!

yeah i figure it's reasonable my weight has just been stalling a bit since i broke the 200s. i'm the smallest i've been since I hit puberty right now so it's all a little unreal. it's the first time i've ever watched my eating habits and attempted to lose weight so i'm pretty happy with my weight loss so far. if i make it then i should be able to get to goal in august! :D

i hope everyone makes it to goal. let's kick those pounds to the curb! :)

Normally I would agree but I counted the weeks instead of the mos..a lot of the mos have 5 weeks so it is possible iwht only losing 2 lbs a week. Plus if I dont get it thats fine. I usually go high so I work that much harder, then I don't beat myself up over it if I dont make it as long as I make it about half way..im good XD and thank you for keeping your fingers crossed! I need all the help I can get!!!

Love it! I'm doing the biggest loser challenge simultaneously so I'm going to move my WI days for this to Sunday, so I can kill two birds with one stone :) I am approaching the smallest I can remember being in years (just slipped below my wedding weight by 3lbs!) so I am going to be fairly conservative in my goal, since I expect my body to freak out any day now :lol:

My weight this morning was 250.0, and my dream goal for my birthday at the end of July is onederland, so I'll set my July 4 goal at 210 lbs*. No idea whether I can achieve that or not, but I can certainly try my best! My body has really been responding well to calorie counting and exercise thus far, and so hopefully that will continue. My official weigh-ins are on Wed, so I will post updated weights once per week.

niafabo--:D Weight loss is all about challenging yourself, right? I know it seems a tad ridiculous, but for me, I find that setting high goals motivates me to work harder in order to achieve them. Even if I don't reach it by that deadline, I believe I'll lose faster if my goal is higher. Kind of weird logic, but it keeps me motivated :D

Welcome everyone! I'm so glad there are so many of you joining, that means there is that much more support for all of us. So this week I did well calorie wise but I had alcohol on Tues and have been alot heavier on sodium through the week. I was only down 0.8lbs this week, i hope it is because of water retention. I hurt my glute this week but was exercising anyways, but I tried running yesterday and it hurt so bad so I am going to take a week off cardio to let my leg heal so I'm kinda worried about how next week will go

pixikat - that definitely sounds like water retention to me. Get in your water this weekend if you can, as that will help with your glute too. Does it feel ok enough that you think you could do some gentle walking this week, instead of breaking from the cardio altogether? It seems like the walking could maybe help the muscle to heal some. Either way, I hope you're feeling better soon. :hug:


I finally saw a drop yesterday morning after holding way too steady for 5 days, and was so pleased I changed my ticker even though I don't normally do that until my official weigh-in day on Wednesdays. Unfortunately, I've been undereating this week because I've felt so crummy due to TOM, but I've still gotten my exercise in (5 days out of the last 6) and I'm feeling much more like my old self tonight. I'm really looking forward to a good few days of eating in my normal calorie range, and hoping for a good weigh-in on Wednesday.

chickadee- I am a delivery driver for auto zone so I walk between 6000 and 7000 steps per day before added cardio and im up and down ladders through out the day, im hoping that itll be enough to stretch it and not too much to strain it more.

Oh yeah, that's a LOT of walking already. Why do I always assume everyone is like me - almost completely sedentary except for my gym time? :lol: Sorry about that. Hope you're able to heal quickly!

niafabo-- to each her own! It doesn't really matter as long as we're both successful, and looking at your ticker, your progress is amazing. I'm so jealous of your loss-- I can't wait to have lost 60 lbs!
pixikat-- I'm sorry to hear about your glute and water retention :( I hope you see a bigger change on the scale soon, and that you feel better.
chickadee-- Maybe you assume that because there ARE other people like you out there... like me! As sad as I am to say it, I'm basically a sloth until I haul myself to the gym and turn beast mode on :D
I've been having a rough week... I've been up and up and up on the scale, and finally today I got down to 179 again. It's so frustrating because I've been doing everything right, even switching my exercise up and changing the percentages of food nutrition (like upping my protein and lowering my carbs, etc). Frankly, I think it's a pre-TOM thing. At least, I'm hoping it is :( On the bright side, I did finish Couch to 5k last night! :carrot:

chickadee- people tend to assume others are like themselves, at the beginning of this journey I was like that because I worked in a call center. I tend to be as active as whatever job I am currently in requires me to be, over the years I have had jobs that require constant activity (child care, waitressing in busy resteraunts) moderate activity like im doing now and completely sedentary... i definately can match up most of the times i was gaining with times i was working sedentary jobs because i rarely made the effort to be less then sedentary while away from work.

Our Lady Bonbon- yeah sounds like water retention for TOM perhaps added with water retention if youve been ramping up workouts at all, glad you made it back to 179, congrats on the c25k thats awesome!

Oops! I thought I was supposed to weigh in today! My weight stayed exactly the same, and I'm very relieved! This hasn't been a great week for eating and I'm seconds away from TOM, so I feel ok. I'm lucky that my job and life keep me pretty active, so unless I really go overboard, I can usually maintain pretty well. But next week there WILL be a loss!

Checking in!

Start Weight (March 6): 250.0 lbs
March 9: 249.6 lbs
March 16: 248.0 lbs

I was stubbornly stuck right around 250 for several days last week, and then stuck around 247.6-247.8 for several days this week before my weight went up slightly to 248.0 on March 16. It could have been a number of things - I'd not been getting enough sleep, I wasn't really getting up to the lower end of my calorie range most days, and I'd started C25K and my legs were probably trying to adjust to the change in routine - but I was getting really frustrated just the same, as I knew I was burning more calories than I was taking in. Yesterday I hit the middle of my calorie range though and drank about 100 oz. of water, and I'm down to 246.0 this morning. What a relief!! I was kind of hoping for an even bigger drop, lol, but I pledge to keep trying to keep my calories high enough over the next several days and hope that contributes to an even bigger loss by next weigh-in.

May I join? I log my weight constantly My goal is to be at 125, and to run a 5k (run, not win lol) in late June/early July!

I'd like to do that too, around the same time frame! (the running, not the 125, lol.) I'm not at all a runner and never have been, but have just started C25K. It's going to take me a lot longer than 9 weeks to get through it, lol. Keep us updated on how your training goes!

It looks like everyone is doing great! I did good this week and lost an even 2 lbs. Im kinda worried that some of that was the water my muscles were retaining as i took the week off working out. I guess I'll see when I return to the gym in the next couple days.

everyone keep up the great work and I'm sure we will all end the challenge happy with the outcome even if not at our individual goals :)

Pixicat-- You were right!! It was definitely water retention. I lowered my sodium this week and have dropped 3 lbs so far! That's the spirit about your weight loss- just keep going and make sure you don't dip your calories too low, although it may be tempting. I hope you have excellent luck in the coming days!

I also want to run a 5k. I been feeling kinda looserish lately because next week all my friends are running a 5k and invite me to join..i had to pass because at this point in my life I'd struggle to walk a 5k. So I want to silently train on my own and be able to say YES the next time they ask...even if i can't run the whole thing..i want to at least be able to get through it decently. My goal is also to weigh 125 by July 4th too...so far i'm not doing too great heading that way though.

Well, as you can see, my scale is going up and up and up. This weekend really derailed me. Actually, I derailed myself. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and we sort of overdid it on the food and wine. So, this morning I fixed myself a bowl of Kashi cereal with soymilk and am currently drinking my water. This afternoon I'm going to the grocery store to stock up on healthy food and I asked my friend who is staying with us to hide her yummy snacks from me. I also have a two week break from work, so I'm going to teach my dog to walk nicely on the leash (any tips?) and we are going to walk every day. I also got a new pilates dvd, so I'm going to use it several times a week. I think the time to get serious about weight loss is right now, or I will end up gaining another 10 lbs.

Anyway, congratulations to all who lost and maintained. You guys are doing so well!

OK, ladies, I'm stuck in the 160's . . . I got stuck in the 180's and joined 3FC, now I'm stuck in the 160's . . . I'm up another pound this AM . . . I don't usually fret about these things, but REALLY, I was up a pound about 10 days ago and now again today . . . I am just hoping it's H2O as I went for a hike and had peanuts in my trail mix . . . doing a little extra cardio today, just in case . . . UGH . . . My plan is to be at goal by June 11th, that's 12 weeks and 25 pounds . . . not impossible, but even if I'm really close . . .

OK enough rambling and more cardio . . . <sigh, just frustrated>

Popping in to see how everyone is doing, looks like most of us are going strong :) as of today I am up 3.2 lbs from my weigh in on friday, i had a bad weekend and some frozen pizza yesterday so i am pounding the water and im going to stay on the low end of my calorie range the rest of the week and hopefully i wont see a gain on friday.

MadamButterfly- sometimes our bodies just like certain weights for a bit. it may be your body adjusting to what it has already lost and redistributing. are you measuring yourself? have you been losing inches even stuck in the 160s? mixing things up will sometimes get me unstuck. sometimes a couple days eating above calories then dropping back down will shock my system back into it, or mixing up the exercise routine. I definitely would recommend checking a bmr calculator to make sure your calorie needs to lose havent dropped below whatever you are eating now, I know it drops a little for every 5 or so pounds i lose and as you are smaller it may drop faster for you. either way good luck! i know you will show 160 who's the boss soon!

Kaonashi- that is no fun about the meds, maybe try to keep low cal things like carrot sticks around to munch on that way you can satiate the med induced hunger without sacrificing too many calories. plus more veggies are always better for you right? :) on the interesting note, if you are eating carrot sticks, then you really will be eating like a horse lol

Hey all just popped in to update my weight log. This week has been crazy. No weight loss for almost two weeks and then BAM five pounds gone over the course of four days. I haven't done anything differently this week except I've been sleeping better while my sister and the baby are out of town and I have been slacking on my exercise which leads me to believe I must have been retaining a lot of water. Was exciting while it lasted. lol.

How's everyone else doing?

My Mother-in-laws 60th suprise birthday is coming up in July (and it's a pool party....ugh) and i need to drop about 40ish pounds. Anyone have any running tips, i've always wanted to be a runner but not sure what proper form is???? Also, may be a silly questions but where in the heck are you all getting these cute weight loss tickers, how to i get them and add them?

so, the weekend was BAD with food. Not should have gained bad, but I drove my (now former) roommate to san antonio to fly home to pennsylvania, its about a two and a half hour drive and because her flight was at 7am we left at midnight the night before and fueled the trip with sugar, caffeine, and taco bell. then when we got to san antonio we waited the 2 hrs she had before she needed to check in in a dennys, so that was greasy salty diner food and a coffee hot chocolate hybrid to keep me awake. then the drive home was fueled by more caffeine.

I also returned to the gym this week after not going for a week and a half due to issues with my glute. and i had my session with my personal trainer on Wednesday instead of Sat and am still sore as crap all over.

so im hoping the fact I am 3.2lbs up this week is due to water weight :(

jennsic - welcome! the weight loss tickers can be found either here at 3fc or at various other sites and you paste the code into your signature. as a new member however you heed to be active for a certain amount of time and also have a certain amount of posts before you get a signature... i want to say it is 20 posts and 30 days but im not 100% certain on that

Awesome job on your weight loss by the way. I at one time lost 90lbs doing Atkins but of course as soon as you eat carbs it comes back, haven't gained it all back though. This time i'm doing it the good old fashion way, eat healthy and excersise.

@pnkrckpixikat it's gotta be water weight there is no way you consumed nearly 10,000 extra calories. don't worry a couple days or a week on plan and that extra water weight should disappear. good job helping your friend just be more careful about which foods you choose next time. surprisingly taco bell has some a number of low calorie options and dennys isn't that bad if you just get their most basic platter. best of luck!

It's 14 weeks away (and 100 days!) so I'd like to be down 10 pounds.
I am at 175 now, that would put me at 165.
I'd also like to have gotten up into Handstand in yoga on a regular basis, and be working on balance in forearm stand with my feet away from the wall.

And I would like to have hiked at least 2 mountains.

Sylv -- Thanks for the WTG! :D Yeah, I think I was 60lb over the 225 when I filled out the license app! But I had to up it when I realized that no one was going to believe that I still weighed 170, which is what it said prior to that!!! It was a surprise to me to realize that I had reached my DL weight. I got carded at a bar and said "wow, I actually weigh that!" :lol:

Well, I totally fell off the friggin' wagon right after I posted my starting weight here. No weigh-ins, no calorie counting, and no exercising. SOMEHOW, I didn't gain any weight during this time (at least, I'm sure I did, but it has come back down somehow). So, here I am. just checking in, looks like pretty much everyone is doing great! those of you that arent doing great, well i'm sure we can turn this around for ourselves. :) stress has been a killer for the past couple weeks and i've fallen off the wagon so to speak, I'm struggling to climb back on though!

Morning folks - finally got to do my walk yesterday, felt GREAT. I was excited about it in the morning and by the time the afternoon rolled around and it was time to go I had to MAKE myself do it, but 10 ft from the house I was glad I kicked my own but into gear.. :D

pnkrckpixikat - we can totally do this, I know how horrible it feels to "fall of the wagon", but, just one day of making good choices and you're right back on track! Good luck to everyone today:carrot:

Oops, forgot to check in on my "official" weigh-in day, but my weight is still the same as it was on Wednesday! I've been on plan, so I think TOM must be mostly to blame. The past few months I've been getting TOM every 3 weeks and it has been lasting 7-9 days, so it feels like it wreaks havoc with the scale a good 40% of the time. Thankfully I've still seen losses every week so it's clear things are working on the whole.

Well, I've had one he** of a time getting out of the 160's, but this AM the scale said 159.8 . . . I know it's barely out of the 160's but it was sooooooo nice not to see 16 . . . . (I've been in the 160's for about 7 weeks, UGH)

I know that's all it is, been walking and eating a lot better so it's got to just be water weight. Way to go for all of you who have lost! We all just have to hang in there and keep our eye's on the big picture :)

just checking in, looks like we are all struggling through and thats awesome cause as long as we stick to our plans the scale has to cooperate eventually!

Welcome to our late joiners, and 25 lbs definately sounds doable in the 3 months left, it would be an average of a tiny bit above 2 lbs a week

i also wanted to share, i saw the 220s today for the first time!!! 229.6!! I dont count any weigh ins except fridays as official so i cant update anything yet but it definately helped me start out today on a happy note :) now hopefully the scale will cooperate on friday

Thanks MadamButterfly, I weighed this morning for the heck of it and was 162.9 so getting closer! The frustrating part is that I was in the 150's in February but gained some back (obviously) and it is taking me so long to get back there this time around. But I am exercising and I know it's healthy no matter what the scale says! :)

The scale was at 239.4 on Monday (I checked several times, lol), but it was back up yesterday and today. I've NEVER been down so little over the course of a week, and I've been totally on-plan, so I'm frustrated. And I STILL have TOM... 11 days now. *sigh* (jennsic and Emmy - I feel your pain!) Drinking lots of water, hoping the scale will be back down tomorrow. I'm not moving my ticker up for water weight, lol.

Good Morning everyone :carrot: Mother nature is packing her bags and taking her gallons of water with her...it's about time! Water weight is starting to come back off, down to 173lbs this morning. Seems like i've been stuck in the 170's FOREVER..UGH Trying to stay focused and keep my eyes on the finish line.
Side note - if anyone has android (sp?) phones, there is an app called "my fitness pal", it's awesome! it will track you calories, water, excersise, all of your nutrients. It even as a bar code scanner so you can scan the barcode of what your eating and it automatically puts all calorie, fat, carbs ect. content into your "jornal" for the day. Also found the C25k app that tracks your progress there...Im so stoked about all these tools, hope it makes this journey a little easier. :D

Hiya! I've been eating well since March 30th (on the 29th I ate way too much, felt sick and displeased with myself, and thus promised myself to eat low calorie for the foreseeable future up until the time I reached a desired body weight for once and for all). I think I'll join this challenge. My weighing myself days fall on Wednesdays, so I'll adjust my weekly reporting accordingly. I'll end on July 6th - a wee bit later than others in this challenge. I don't really care when it ends, except that I do lose the weight by then. So, hmmm....what should that July 6th goal be? I'm gonna try for 2 pounds/week for the first five weeks (starting next week), and then down to 1/week alternating with 2/week to the end. This adds up to 22 pounds from today and would make me 114 lbs by July 6th. That would feel good. :)

I noticed that as well, if you put the words "my fitness pal" all together with no space it shows as being black listed..lol. backto 174 this morning, been drinking tons of water to get the water weight off, strange how that works.
I'm having trouble staying motivated to excersise because i don't see the scale going down....grrr Got to stick with it though or i'm really going to be upset come July. Good luck to everyone today. Tomorrow is the product of what you do today :D Oh so deep...lol

What the heck is going on.....I weighed in yesterday and it was up to 177lbs, didn't even want to post to say the least, checked this morning and i'm back to 174lbs.....Maybe I need a new scale. I've got to find some motivation to start walking again. I feel so tired but I know once i get that first walk in it will shoot my energy and motivation back up. So hard with getting up for work at 3:30am to keep going in the afternoon, only have 1hr once i get home to excersise then have go get my 2yr old from pre-school then my 12yr old gets home, just the thought of all that needs to be done in the evening is exhausting!!! Needs some serious support and kicks in the butt! :?:

It's 14 weeks away (and 100 days!) so I'd like to be down 10 pounds.
I am at 175 now, that would put me at 165.
I'd also like to have gotten up into Handstand in yoga on a regular basis, and be working on balance in forearm stand with my feet away from the wall.

And I would like to have hiked at least 2 mountains.

So this was on 3/26...
My weight has been bumping around so I'm still at 175. But, I have gotten up into handstand!! And my teacher is helping me work on forearm balance away from the wall!

hey, looks like everyone is still going strong!

SEAGIRL- CONGRATS on the handstand that can be hard. as a former gymnast i have a couple of suggestions lol work on tightening your core, that will be what keeps you balanced and off the wall on the handstand. i dont know about form for yoga, but in gymnastics pointing our toes is drilled into our heads. i find it helps with balance in the handstand and helps make one remember to tighten the lower abs and butt and legs.

im only down 0.4 this week :( but better then gaining right?!?! im trying to get back in the groove going to the gym, i hope thatll kick my loss back into gear.

Ok, I'm getting a new scale today! I've been Jogging/walking, eating right, drinking lots of water, ect..... I can tell i've lost in my clothes and I feel tons lighter but the scale say's the same exact number down to the ounce, can't be right. My husband informed me that my son has been slinging the scale around playing with it....GRRR
So, getting a new scale and will check in tomorrow. Good luck to everyone this week :D

hey all! glad to see all the new people, welcome welcome! :)

I have realized I have fallen into a couple patterns and both are bad, pattern A. is no loss so i get into the whats the point mindset and start slipping up, pattern B. i see a loss so i start being slightly leinient and start slipping up. both patterns are bad bad bad. so ive committed myself to staying on plan 4/20-5/20 (5/20 i start my weekend getaway during which i have no eating rules lol) during this time I will not weigh. I will check in with my updated weight on 5/20.

till then ill check in here see how everyone is doing and let you know how well im doing lol

It's been way too long since I've checked in here!! I am still on track though, and still have my July 4 goal in my sights. It will be tight, but as long as I stick to my plan I might be able to make it.

Start Weight (March 6): 250.0 lbs
March 9: 249.6 lbs
March 16: 248.0 lbs
March 23: 245.2 lbs
March 30: 241.4 lbs
April 6: 240.7 lbs
April 13: 236.8 lbs
April 20: 232.4 lbs

I'm down to 231.0 lbs yesterday and today, and so hope to see more lost by my weigh-in on Wednesday. Looking at my weight when I started this challenge, it's pretty cool that soon I'll have lost 20 lbs in less than 2 months. :)

definitely not the best loss i've had in a week, but it was to be expected after two meals out, bachelorette party, easter meal, and leftovers from all of the above. i was lucky i didn't gain! and it's hard to complain about a small loss this week after having such a huge loss last week.

I had a great past few days it is so easier to eat at my limit of 1400 calories a day now that I have been doing it for a few weeks! I haven't gotten to weigh in while I was 172 when I weighed last week hopefully I will be down when I weigh on tuesday!

I've lost 13.4 pounds in five weeks, which averages out to 2.68 pounds per week. I have 21.6 pounds to lose to meet my goal for this challenge, and there are 9 weeks left. That means I have to average 2.4 pounds per week for the next 9 weeks. That might be pushing it a little, but I'm going to keep my goal at 35. No matter what, I'm a winner because I'll be that much closer to losing 35# by the 4th!

I would say a REALISTIC goal is the key to successful weight loss. I don't want to diet; I wNt to change my lifestyle. And I want to stay motivated by setting goals that are attainable.

Too often people set ambitious goals ("I'm going to lose 20 pounds this month!") and become discouraged when they cannot achieve it, so they quit.

Okay, so realistically, I am not going to lose 10 pounds this month. I'm a compulsive eater and 'weigher' and since reaching 142.5, the scale isn't budging. I think now that I'm a little bit closer to goal, losing weight is becoming harder for me. I'm also exclusively breastfeeding, so maybe my body is reserving some as I become less fat? I don't know. I do know that it is getting harder and harder. So although 20 pounds is ambitious, I think that 15 pounds is realistic.

Would like to lose 15 pounds by July 4.

it looks like everyone is doing great! I am doing pretty good with my goal to stay on plan and under 1400 for a month, i mis counted one day and went over by almost 200 cals :s but the next day i ate 1200 so i figure it balanced out in the long run.

not weighing is driving me nutso, i swear im on the countdown, 12 more days lol

good morning! i finally got to weigh, hooray! Im a day early because im going out of town tonight until sunday. I'm down 6.8 lbs since my weigh in on 4/15, however the week following 4/15 I had bounced back up to 230-233 and was firmly staying there so in my mind im actually calling it more like 10 lbs for the month.

this not weighing thing really worked for me. I think im going to weigh next week to see what damage has been done this weekend (im not worrying about diet this weekend as we have plans for drinking and eating and wandering the Riverwalk. Not planning to eat fast foods etc, but the planned restaurants are all super high calorie) then after noting the damage away it will gor for another month Im thinking.

I am posting late, and I am actually lower than this now, but I'm sticking with what I was this past Monday. Up .8 lbs. I had to go out of town unexpectedly for about a week for a funeral. We ate out every. single. meal. I am actually thrilled that I didn't gain more. I am proud of my food choices on the road.

AAAARGH!!! I was so hoping to see 20 pounds today and I missed it by 0.2 pounds! I don't normally eat breakfast before my meeting, but I went to the 9am meeting and I was grocery shopping right after - can't do that on an empty stomach. Oh well, I'll get it officially next week. :-)

I'm starting to think I may not hit my goal (though I'm losing very quickly right - almost too quickly). But, I most certainly would have if I had stayed on plan the whole time instead of screwing up in the beginning!

I joined a Labor Day Challenge and they use a spreadsheet to track everyone's weight loss. I had some time to kill this morning, so I went through this thread and compiled a spreadsheet for us too. (Yeah, I know... Way too much free time!) Hey everyone. I hope everyone had a great week. My week started off great and I lost a total of 3.8 lbs, but then started feeling bad on Saturday. Now I seem to have a sinus infection and feel horrible. This week is my last week of work before summer vacation (gotta love working at a school), so hopefully I'll feel better soon.

LisaP - I'm on the wagon, I just haven't been posting! I get myself involved in too many challenges (because I like them so much!) and then can't keep up.

I changed my weigh-in day from Wednesday to Sunday, since that's what I'm doing in another challenge, so my numbers get a little screwy around the end of April - I have an extra weigh-in in there. But here's where I've been and where I'm at now:

So, didn't get the whoosh I was hoping for. Instead I gained a few pounds. I'm pretty sure it's because I haven't been drinking enough water. So I'm gonna do my best to start drinking at least 80 oz a day to see how much of a difference it makes.

I hope it's ok that I join this thread so late into your challenge. I am just coming back to the forum after taking the last year to apparently gain almost all of the weight back that I had lost for my wedding last March :( Posting my WIs in these challenges were one way that made me feel accountable for my actions during the week and there is something about knowing you have to post your weight at the end of the week for all to see that makes you want to kick butt everyday! :)

June 12 was my last official weigh-in for this challenge, as on June 11 I found out I was pregnant. Unfortunately, after several weeks of problems I underwent abdominal surgery (laparatomy) on Thursday to remove an ectopic pregnancy. My weight was still down at 212.3 before the surgery last week, and so I think I should probably be pleased at having gotten within 3 lbs of my goal of 210 by 4th of July - but I am still disappointed to not yet be able to get back on track. The surgery did not go smoothly and so I am looking at some recovery time, but I hope to be back and challenging again in a few more weeks. :)
