March Goals- In my head I really would love to get as close to Goal weight as Possible. I think I could if I really stuck to the calorie intake plan. Although I'm hitting up some major mileage this month, I'm nervous as heck for the calorie up days to fuel my long runs. OMG! School is going to be in Full Swing this Month Too! So STRESS ME OUT! Lets See what the stress does to my Loss- hoping the runs will help with the stress! Plus I'm implementing more hot baths to relax and more meditation practices!

My average is 1.3#/week so I'll be happy with 5 pounds this month. And I have to keep reminding myself that I will be happy with 5 pounds and not despair of my progress. I have to keep reminding myself that I lose weight at my pace and not compare myself to others. WW food points = 29 Activity points will vary.

Welcome to all the newcomers!! These threads keep me going.

Ahh, March! This month I'm going to try to focus on lowering my fat intake and trying to squash my sweets cravings! And the goal is 3 pounds per week. :sumo:

Edit to start the month: I'm up again today...yikes...but that was after breakfast, and I didn't sleep last night (two exams today), so I'm hoping for a whoosh tonight when I FINALLY get to sleep.

March start: 265.4
March goal: 250

Im going to see if I can get my C25K in on my lunch hours at the gym, i have roughly 30 - 35 minutes available to actually work out, so it should fit in there - and I'll conquer my treadmill fear AND my fear of running infront of other people at the same time :)

I'm ready! I'm ready to really work hard for a good number. I have a little Irish in me, so maybe it'll be my month! :luck2you: Starting gym tomorrow AM (finally) and ready to hit the ground running and bust (and lose!) some A$$

March Goal: Decrease intake of alcohol (my weakness!) and increase exercise. Ive got the food thing down good, its just alcohol and lack of exercise!

02-28: 215 - a nice even starting point!

Angie

Hi all! I'm down .2 today and sitting at 220.6 -- still confident that I'm going to see a lower number tomorrow morning. I ate out again at lunch today and did really really well sticking to my plan...it was chicken and salad again, but different chicken and different salad... :D

It's been a trying evening; took my DS to his gymnastics class and when we got home he was overtired and had a meltdown because he doesn't have a TV in his room -- I explained that mommy didn't get a TV in her room until she was 35, but somehow that was no consolation. Walked in the house to find everything from the kitchen table on the floor (daffodil centrepiece, napkins etc) from the cat jumping from our table to launch himself at our finches which are in a cage high atop our pantry; and the dog had pulled a houdini and got himself out of his locked up crate, scratched up his face under the eye in the process, and then peed all over the mess the cat had made on the kitchen floor. *Sigh* I've cleaned up and am having a nice cup of tea now, and chatting with you nice ladies. Can't say I"m sorry the evening is nearly over!

Congratulations to everyone who had a great February!!

Bulletproof -- I'm enjoying the C25K so far, I never dreamed I could do it, but here I am, actually doing it!

Diana -- Congrats on your .8 today!

Timetoloseit -- I hope the storms stay away for you.

Vixsin -- You are so focused, I'm sure you'll see One-derland really soon.

Coondocks -- Sorry to hear your little guy is under the weather. My DS has a little cold, but I think it's really getting to him now, he actually asked me reminded me to give him his medicine tonight, that does not normally happen -- he hates the taste.

:welcome: to all the new members and  to the lurkers!

Down 0.6 today- slow but steady wins the race :)
Went out lst night and hooked up with someone I haven't seen for a couple of months. He knew about the weightloss before, but hasn't seen me since I reached onederland and beyond. He absolutely freaked out- apparantly I am a completely different person !!! Weird how I have begun to accept who I am and others find it hard

Thanks ladies! I edited and deleted my months worth of days ready to fill in daily weigh-ins. I moved to the 20 somethings daily weigh-in. I didnt look close enough and realize that this is the 100 lb club. I guess I don't belong here. I hope you ladies all the luck and will leave you more space without my posts :).

Good Morning Everyone!!!

I'm up 1.5 (221.5) but its probably due to the extra activity - new yoga class plus water aerobics and a good walk with the dog. I left four food points on the table yesterday and I really tried to get them in. I had the wonderful cauliflower alfredo sauce on WW pasta for dinner and that is only 4 points!!

Have a great On Plan day!

Good Morning!

TTOM started for me yesterday. I just hope it doesn't last 11 days this time. I will be closing out the monthly books for the next few days. I probably won't have time for personals until that job is done.

Angie Wow! That sounds like a very frustrating day to say the least! I hope you enjoyed the nice quiet moment with your tea and computer. ;) Sometimes we have to celebrate the little things.

:wave:Good Morning Everyone

Up .8 to 204.6..i guess it's ovulation time:dunno:I've noticed that my body still goes through the process(this time every month) even though i had a procedure years ago.

Willow,i use to drink like a fish and kept gaining weight.I didn't know that alcohol had sugar or something in it that was making me gain weight.Once i conquered that demon it really helped with my weight,You can do it! good luck!:)

:wave:Angie, wow your babies were just a little restless:D enjoy the C25k! watch those lbs fall off :carrot: hay..i didn't even know that's what i was doing(I've been meaning to google what a C25k was..thought it was a 5 mile run) until i read your post on another thread explaining it all..i just be jogging  As far my Sister clothes..she and i have different taste.I'm more of a casual, short dress, shorts wearer and she is a everyday suit, going to a formal wearer. It was fun in the beginning,me wearing her clothes..but i can't walk around in a suit all day going no where important:lol: so I'm having to take some of her long dress(skirts) to the seamstress to have cut off.. which makes her mad (being that she only buys really expensive designer name clothes)cause she wants me to wear long dresses(skirts) and it ain't happen.. she doesn't wear shorts and short dress..So I've started to shop more.:) but I'm good to go if I'm going to fancy ball

Morning all! I'm down a few ounces to 220.2, nearly nearly back in the two teens...these small losses are helping to keep me feeling focused and on track.

Diana -- I'm glad it's a new day after that night. I've had a stern discussion with my dog and we've agreed I won't crate him if he agrees not to destroy the house and pee on the floor. Sorry to see TTOM found you again so soon!

Carter -- Happy new low!

Kristi -- Same to you, nice new number!

Liz -- You must be so excited to be so close to your goal. How are you feeling about approaching maintenance?

Timetoloseit -- Nice job on your .8 today :)

Ona -- Sorry for the gain. Hope you scare it off soon :sumo: Lol about your sister trying to get you into long dresses. I like shorter dresses too. When I get to goal I'm going to splurge like you wouldn't believe (or at least I wouldn't believe) and buy myself a Diane Von Furstenburg dress (check them out on dvf.com). In the meantime I'm choosing stuff with lots of spandex or lyrca to see me through more sizes. I just bought two little shift dresses from old navy that I can wear with leggings now, and as I lose a little more, and they are a little longer on me they will look real cute with nothing under them but a pair of great legs!

Gosh I'm chatty lately. :D

Working from home today so hope to check in again between meetings (conference calls).

Ya know what, I'm not even that observant that I noticed a typo - Im just so used to seeing and typing it like ONEderland ha ha.

I think 8 lbs is on point for you this month . . dare I say 9 :) :)

Looking good so far to get my run in at lunch, not going to lie Im nervous as all get out about it, but i'm still going to do it.

WI at 171.8 this morning, but I was expecting that, not enough water at all and salty soup - which I didnt even enjoy :(

I am down .2 today to 207.6. I love losses! LOL

In my personal life, my little Buddy is at the vet getting fixed today. Happy and sad for me. I just want to go and get him and bring him home.

I've been kind of struggling and I need to post it and get it out. I have been feeling super anxious about my journey for the last few days. After I passed 40 lbs lost, I entered into brand new territory. I have never lost this much weight as an adult before...let alone keep it off. I had to put clothes in the "give away" pile that have always been "thin" clothes. Now they are too big. I feel that my mind is having a hard time wrapping around what is going on because I've never felt this way before about weight loss.

I am not doubting my abilities or think that I am going to sabatoge myself in any way. I guess I just need to keep talking about it and try to help myself get a handle on the new me that I am creating. I just wanted to put it out there. Like I said, I'm not freaking out at all but just wanted to put the feelings into words to help figure them out, I guess. :)

Thanks for letting me vent.

Edit for Coon: I am pumped about your run today!!!!! Let us know how it goes!!

Tomorrow's going to be a really tough one for me to stay on plan, so it's extra important that I keep it up today. I'm going into the office for the first time in weeks tomorrow and that too from my new house. Moving into this new area and away from my in laws meant that I gave up my car to hubby to get to work (it's farther for him now and I pretty much work from home all the time). That's not the tough part. Because I'm going into the city tomorrow, I'm catching up with an old friend/colleague for lunch, in the evening I'm going to a cocktail reception/achievement awards ceremony where I'll be recognized as one of the "Fab 15 Alumni" for this organization celebrating their 15th anniversary and then because it's a closed event, hubby's meeting me downtown to take me out to dinner to celebrate at my favourite restaurant... wait for it... The Old Spaghetti Factory which also happens to make the best appletini in town. *sigh* I feel fat just thinking about it.

Alright, my first official weigh-in for March was 248.0...which is a -1.4 drop from yesterday. Nice way to start out the month! I'm hoping this means March will be a good one for me.

Starbrite - That is so funny...I'm looking forward to those "Oh my god, you look so different" moments with people I haven't seen in awhile, lol. Congrats on the loss, as well!

Diana - Good luck with TOM...hopefully it doesn't stick around so long this time!

Carter - Congrats! It's always nice to get a good start for a new month. Happy March to you, too!

FitKristi - Good job! A loss is a loss, and - I agree with Liz - they add up quickly!

Angie - You're doing a great job, and you'll no doubt break into the two-teens very soon. Keep it up!

Vixsin - Congrats on the loss, and good luck with Buddy at the vet today. Hopefully they get him fixed quickly and smoothly, so he's back at home with you in no time. Also, about your struggle with this unknown territory, embrace the anxious energy as excitement! You're creating new opportunities for yourself with each step towards your health. I hope you are able to sort out your emotions, and this is definitely a good place to vent them...so many here are going through or have gone through the same transitory feelings. I'm excited for you! :)

Kukkie - Yay for the 1.1 loss, that's great! Also, as long as you remain mindful of your consumption tomorrow, I don't think you'll get thrown too far off track. You can enjoy a celebratory evening out in moderation. (Congrats on the recognition, by the way!) Drink lots of water throughout the day if you can. Good luck and have fun!

Diana - Good job!
Reis, Angie, Time2loseit, Liz, Carter, Willow, Xaria, Losingit, Starbrite, Ma, Dayna, Dix, Bulletproof, Ophelia - Hello  - Here's to a wonderful March for everyone!!!

Ona -- Yes, that's it, push on!

Coon -- Enjoy your run, you're going to feel great afterward :)

Vixsin -- Isn't it amazing when you take control and you make the call about how things will turn out? I'm dropping off some old clothes at Goodwill today, and I found it really hard to give them up as they were my everyday go to clothes for work just a few months ago.

Kukkie -- Sounds like a tough day to stay on track for eating, but I've got confidence in you -- go out there and make great choices like the superstar award winner you are! Congratulations on your award!

Ophelia -- Great start to the month!

Coco -- Hi!

I have a quick - maybe silly - question.

I joined the daily weighing thread last month ... and then it split off into a Part 2. But I still continued to update my daily weight in the Part 1. Yeah me. :)

When this thread becomes a two-parter, do most people re-post their weights in the Part 2? Or do you go back and update it in the Part 1 ... and use the Part 2 for just conversations & support?

Just curious!

Wow Vix I feel like this constantly, and even posted a thread about it which I reviewed at the weekend. I think the awareness of this is what keeps us going. I feel if I slip up, or let go of the feelings that have been driving me to lose 121 lbs, I will slide back down the slippery slope and end up at 298 lbs again. This is the only place I can really express my true feelings and I am so happy that I can. Keep posting, keep venting, you are doing great and can achieve the goals you set yourself, as long as you are aware of your demons and keep fighting them. Every minute, of every day.

What I do, and I think most people do, is completely come over to the new thread. I copy my weigh in list from part 1 and paste it over in part 2. It's just easier for me to keep it all in one place.

186.6 today. That's another .8 down and that makes half of my silly 2 pound jump gone away again. Now to get the other half gone so I can start working on real weight again.

I'm considering chopping off my hair because it gets on my nerves so much with all the working out and stuff. I put it up, but it still bugs me and since I work out so much it's almost always in a ponytail anyhow and what's the point of long hair if I'm just gonna stick it in a ponytail? Plus I have to wash it every day now that I sweat so much and it takes forever to dry. So I'm thinking of cutting it really short and donating to locks of love or something like that. Has anyone else done that or considered it?

I am flat on my back in bed today with a heating pad/ice bag on my back. Woke up with a horrible back spasm today. DH had to take the day off of work since I can't chase my kids (2 yrs old and 6 mos old). I guess the up side to this is that I can't eat a bunch of crap. I don't mind eating in front of DH, but I'm really not going to be all "Hey hon, would you bring me chips and chocolate and soda? That'd be greeeaaatt." :)

Im feeling pretty good today. Finally got off my butt and went to the gym for the first time in years :) Did 20 min on treadmill and a few machines, just to try out. At one point the gym was completely empty except me & hubby and I stepped on the elliptical (SP?) machine, to see if it was something I could do (too timid to try when people are there)... all I have to say is WTH? Jeez, one minute on that thing had my legs rubbery and feeling worse than after 20 min on the treadmill. One minute! That's literally all I could last on that thing, haha!

I think I have a new goal :) To conquer the Leg Slayer

Vixsin- I think it's hard when you think about the changes and see the milestones and the almost "is this too good to be true" feelings come along. Mentally catching up to the loss we create for ourselves is psychologically diferent for so many and happens easier and faster/slower for each person. You see the difference, you feel the difference and now you know the difference. Keep it to each day and keep moving it forward :-)

Coon- Good Luck with your RUN! I always call it a RUN! Never a JOG! But that's just me ;-p

Diana- Good Luck with TTOM, I think with the change of meds you will balance out this month.

Waves to Everyone and Good Job Moving along Down the scale!

As for me, I ran 15 miles today, Longest Run Ever so Far. I ran 2hrs 39 minutes non stop Pace I think was 10:36 per mile. My calves were tight from the get go- I suppose cranking out a 50 min spin class and a fast 3 miles after that yesterday may not have been the best idea for fresh legs today. But it will make me stronger right? !!!! I have drank about 80 oz of water today to help with any muscle soreness and I caloried up as well. Right now I'm about 1700 but I will plan on eating 300 in snacks tonight (air popped popcorn, 1/2 cup of yogurt) so basically I will have burned exactly what I ate today. Curious to read that scale in the morning!

Angie - what a day...is calgon going to take you away? (Maybe your too young to remember that ad)

Diana - ugh TOM - you always have a good whoosh after so that's something to look forward to!

Carter - nice to start with a new low, Congrats!

Kristi - Every little bit adds up. Its seems more encouraging to see the bits.

Sept - I have every confidence you will sneak a peak at the 130's

OnaMi - how nice to have a sister that will give you clothes.

Vixsin - I feel the same way. My head takes a new perspective on this every day.

Kukkie - congrats on the recognition! Wishing you lots of willpower to get through the day.

Bulletproof - I think setting up a computer is a workout - sort of. Getting rid of all the packaging definitely is!!

Coco - down 1.4 and playing it cooooooooooooooool. Yay!

Sickntired - I usually copy the progress from the first thread to the second as the first thread kinda gets buried in the other threads and I can't find it.

Eclipse - Yay for 164.8 which is not 165!!!

FitGirl - congrats on the loss. Hair cut for donation - wonderful!

C'docks - Sorry about the id problem - best laid plans...

Gale - Aww, sorry you have to suffer. Be careful with your recovery.

Willow - nice 1 # loss and go luck with taming the leg slayer. If the stride length is set for taller people it can be a killer so have the staff show you how to change it if need be.

Twinmomma - congrats on the Longest Run Ever!

As for me, I posted pix in the 100 lb Club progress pics stickie.

Hey Ladies! I'm not 100% sure I'm back, but I am going to give 'er a go!! I was a little relaxed with my food and exercise in January and February and gained 7 pounds, and am now sitting at 260.4, I swore I'd never see the darn 260's again!! I decided it was time to get fit too, I'm watching all your C25K, and wish it wasn't sitting at -35! But I'm doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred, and am committing myself to 30 days!

It's such a relief that I'm still losing some weight. I hadn't been able to exercise the last three days and I always feel exceptionally fat after missing a workout, let alone three! I'm eating as best as I can, and I haven't gone over my calories, so maybe that's doing it for me.

Had no sleep last night, my mind is still full of my work problems. I need to find a way to deal with the feeling of grief I have over my job (fixed term contract of 10 years- job I adore. Now nearly at the end) It's eating away at me and I must do something about the way I feel.....

Woosh! Do you think it is too lofty of a goal to hope that I can lose the remaining 19lbs to reach my goal by May 8th? That is 8 weeks from now. If I don't get there, I'm fine, but how cool would it be to get there at the 1 year mark?

For me it would be out of the question but you have been losing at such a steady clip - I bet you can get very close!

Everyone knows by now I'm wary of numerical goals but in this case, since you know you won't be too disappointed if you don't make it, it might be a nice little extra bit of inspiration.

Me, I'm hoping to hit 100lbs gone by my two-year mark (July 31). But don't tell anyone I said that - I don't do numerical goals. ;)

Okay, my report before I trot off to work - new low 197! I'm thrilled - 200 lbs is now just about out of bounce range (barring something really unexpected), and I'm almost giddy about the the thought of leaving it behind forever. Carter, giddy - please don't tell anyone that, either! :p

I totally won't be disappointed if I don't get there by May 8th - I've come SO far in (almost) 10 months already...how could I possibly be disappointed by success?

I'm up this morning. Some may be from water/salt but I did get a little munchy yesterday. I'm feeling stressed lately, but I must not let the stress cause me to overeat. I will try to keep it in control today. I'm wishing you all a great one!

down to 168.2 . . . . uhhhhh what?!?!
That's a 3.6 drop in one day, is that even possible?

I made it to the gym but only got half way through week 1 day 1 because, well TMI here, it seems things have started moving in the bathroom area :o so I'll be repeating it as soon as i can. Could that honestly account for that big of a whoosh?

AIMEE!!!! Glad to see you back online, hope all is well and congrats on commiting to 30 days - 30ds still terrifies me :p

BBL for everyone :) :)

The word of today is WHOOSH!!!! Congrats on all of those whooshes!!!

I am down 1.2 to 206.4!!! :woohoo:

Congrats on your whoosh Coon!! Glad things got movin'! ;)

FitKristi: I hear you on the lofty goals. I'm leary of my goal this month. I'd love to make it into Onederland but another 7 lbs? It seems high. I'm going for it and I'm going to see where I end up. I won't be broken if I don't get there by the end of the month because I know that I'll get there.

BBL for personals. Have to start an ugly project at work and I need to work on it in the morning so I can sit at my desk and slack off this afternoon. :sssh: Dont tell my boss!! LOL

kristi - I think it sounds like a great goal - and yes no matter what you can't be disappointed by success!! :) :)

Aimee - Welcome back!!

coondocks - I've lost quite a bit overnight, especially if things start moving again as my mentioned, after a bit of a time lapse...lol. Don't be surprised if you bounce up a bit, but I bet it will mostly stick!!

vixsin - Don't worry I won't tell your boss as long as you don't tell mine I'm slacking off this morning!

Kathy - You can do it! Hope you're feeling less stressed soon.

I'm down 1 pound today (lots of whooshes around here today!!) to 144. I am very excited to see 143 something. Now that I'm not losing 10 pounds per month anymore (obviously) it's great how excited I get going down "into" another pound - it still feels awesome! Have a great day ladies!

I'm down another .4 to 186.2. I think I have figured out why I didn't have much loss in February. I think my calorie deficits were too high. I think I have found a range of calorie deficit that works for me. So for March I am going to work really hard at keeping my calorie deficit down to 1,000-1,200. I have to eat more calories than I have been, because I refuse to give up my activity. Hellloooo dark chocolate! LOL

Gale - I hope you are feeling better soon.

Willow - Ellipticals are evil to almost everyone the first time they try them. I don't remember how much I did my first time, but I know it was something under 5 minutes. I can do an hour or more now, so if you keep attacking it, you will win! And I love your name for it, leg slayer, lol, it definitely fits!

Twinmomma - Congrats on the new long distance! :yay:

Angie - Yay for the awesome mood:D I have been feeling like her the last couple days too. I just LOVE her, she reminds me of my niece when she was smaller.

Cutie - Mine should be right at the 10" minimum for Locks of Love, but if it falls a little under I will send it to Pantene (they do wigs for women with cancer - mostly breast cancer)

SwimGirl - You won't be seein those 260s for long if you're doing 30DS! Maybe you could get to a treadmill for C25K?

fitkristi - I think you could do it and you certainly won't be any worse for trying, right? :)

carter - Congrats on the new low! :yay:

Coondocks - thanks! 30 Day Shred isn't too bad, it's just 25 minutes of your life however the first time I attempted it I did it with a group of people and we talked each other through it.. and losing 6 inches from my waist alone was enough to keep me motivated! Congrats on your whoosh, and YES, it's totally possible to lose that much if you were backed up! Accept and move on :)

Liz - great job on your pound!! thanks for the welcome back! It's feels good to get this focus back. Although I am starting VERY small.

Roxy - My apt has a gym, but no treadmill :( It should start to warm up by the time April comes around, so I think I'll give it a go then. I seem to get to the 5 week mark and not further, so I might do each week for 2 weeks to give my body a chance to adapt.. Nice to see you back as well :)

Well, my wish seemed to come true! 259.9 this morning! TOM should be coming soon, if it's decided it likes me again! 1.5 months without TOM made me go a little crazy, mostly because I was nauseous all the time... LOL.

Only down -0.2 this morning at 247.8, but I will take it! I am amazed at all the wooshes people are having so far this month...hoping mine is next! Also, this thread is on fire! You leave the site for half a day, and there are 4-5 more pages to catch up on, lol.

Gale - Oh no, I hope you feel better soon!

Willowgirl - Yeah, the elliptical is killer for me, too...haha. I've been doing workouts at home, but next time I'm at the gym, I've been planning on trying it again. Not looking forward to it, but it's got to kill some major calories with that much burn, lol.

Twinmomma - Wow, 15 miles...that's great, Twin! You sound like you're working very hard on your health overall; very inspirational! I would love to reach the point where I can do all of that.

DixC - Nice post on the Progress thread, and Happy WW Anniversary!

Vixsin - Awesome workout! Also, very happy to hear Buddy is back at home -- even with the Cone of Shame, haha. Poor thing! They always look so pitiful with that thing, don't they? And then they always look at you with those famously named eyes, like..."I thought you loved me...don't you love me? B-b-but, all the other dogs are going to laugh at me..." LOL. Oh, and congrats on the woosh!

Starbrite - Congrats on the 0.3 loss! And, I'm sorry to hear about your job. Is there absolutely no way to renew your contract? Or, to find similar work with the experience you've gained in this current position?

Nicole - Yay for the woosh and the job offer!

Fitkristi - Another woosh! Everyone is doing so good this month so far...good work! I think you can do anything you set your mind to accomplish.

Carter - Yet another new low! Congrats!

Coon - Wow, 3.6 lbs...that's an amazing woosh! Woo!

Liz - Congrats on the 1 lb loss, keep it up!

FitGirl - I am working on finding my perfect calorie zone for weight loss as well...I had some struggles last month with stalling when they were too low, and I always gain if they're too high. Congrats on finding your key range!

OnaMi - Another woosh! You guys are seriously doing awesome this month! Congrats, Ona!

SwimGirl - Congrats on the -0.5 loss, and good luck with TOM. I've gone very long periods (no pun intended) of time without one, so I know how weird that is to deal with, never knowing if he's going to show up on you or not.

Matilda - Yay, back in the two-teens...congrats!

Bulletproof - Congrats to you, too!

Vixsin - you're amazing; give Buddy a  (LOL cone of shame!!); nice whoosh!

Bulletproof - oops,...um, those CD/DVD cases can be the devil to open, I know I can break a sweat opening them!! ;)

Swimgirl - Nice to see you're losing!!

LosingIt - Sometimes a break from exercise is just what's needed. Hang in there.

Starbrite - I'm sorry your feeling so down. Take care while you work through this. Is there some anxiety about finding and starting a new job, too?

Nicole - nice whoosh!! Yay! Job offer is wonderful news. Keep us updated!

Diana - I applaud :cp: your work ethic both here and your job.

Kristi - 19# You have everything to lose if you even try to go for it!! KWIM?

Carter - you are ROCKIN' ONEderland! Congrats!

Asher, T2Lit - weight loss is a WILD ride!! Hang on tight!

C'docks - Wow! :yikes: That a nice drop!

Sept - Every pound is yet another victory! Yay!!

Fitgirl - another loss!! WTG! Eat more, lose more - :dizzy:

Coco - another loss!!! Good Luck on the massive project! Rope chewing - how many calories burned per hour??

OnaMi - another nice loss - Yay!!

Ophelia - it still counts for a loss! Congrats!

This has been a pretty good day all around!!

I'm up another .5 but I am pretty sure its from the extra activity I have had the last couple of days. Adding more in where I can. Woke up with sore throat and sinus and was this [] close to not going to gym but I went! I think (hope) its just allergies.

Aimee - Welcome back!! I'm loving my C25K, but it's all on the treadmill. It works for me since it's just me and DS here in the evenings, so I couldn't go out anyway. I'm so happy to see you back. Good job on your .5 today.

Losing it --

Starbrite -- I'm sorry your dream job is coming to a close. Do you have any other prospects lined up? Is there another role in the same organization that might be available to you?

Nicole -- Congrats on your job offer!

Diana -- Why is it always busiest at your work when you have TTOM? :dizzy: Talk to you when things settle!

Kristi -- I think you could do that, reach your goal in 8 weeks. You might need some intense workouts or something to shake things up a bit, but I bet you could find tonnes online, even on youtube

Coondocks -- Wow, nice super-whoosh! Who cares how you got it, it's a great number :) I think my highest overnight was a 3.something, but I don't remember the exact amount. I didn't really know why it happened either.

Vixsin -- Another whoosh, congrats! Awww, your little Buddy looks so cute!

Liz -- Congrats on your pound!

Fitgirl -- Good job on your .4 :)

Coco -- Congrats on your .6 :D

Ona -- Another whoosh -- way to go!!!

Matilda -- Whoosh! Nice work!

ophelia - Like the pun ;) I have always been regular since I got my first period at 9 (not fair btw!), so I was pretty freaked out! It's amazing how quick this thread moves, eh? I have a hard time keeping up too! Congrats on your .2, down is down :D

DixC Chix - sorry to hear about your gain, I know I normally have a gain with sinus stuff - in my mind its because I'm retaining fluid in my sinus's, I'm sure it'll go away quickly!

Vixsin - poor thing, I know it's wrong, but animals with cones make me giggle a little.. hope he feels better soon!

Roxy - nice burn!! Felt GREAT to see 250's this morning! TOM started, so we'll see how long I can hang onto that for!

Angie - Thanks, it's definitely time for me to be back here! :) We have a gym in our building, but it's SO dated, and there is only a bike :( So I'll be waiting for spring before I think about running. What week are you on?

I did another workout today! 2 down, 8 to go before I move on to the next level! I'm doing pretty terrible with water today, only 1.5 L's, my goal is 3. Man I hate drinking water..

Phew...midterms are finally over! I'm up again today, but I'm trying not to freak out. I did have a Chipotle burrito bowl last night and a milkshake the night before while studying. I stayed under 1200 calories both days, but I blew way past my carb limit (100g), and I drank hardly any water. :o

Morning
Even today - no problem- I am slowing down, but not stopping this thing !! I seem to lose very little for the first 18 days and then it all comes off at the end of the month - weird, but daily weighing helps me to know that.
Ophelia, Dix, Angie- thanks for asking about the job. Unfortunately I work for both the UK government and for a European organisation. I was given 9 years and then given an exceotional tenth for my excellent work. There is no chance of a job, no chance of continuing working there, depsite people writing to the British, and Irish governments to stop me leaving ! :)
It is the loss of the job and the people I work with that I'm struggling with. The action of me having to leave has been deemed illegal, but everyone just says "tough" ! I will get there, but I have worked there for nearly a quarter of my life, so feel it hard. I also live in Belgium, and whilst there are of course jobs for English speakers they are usually very specialised.
I am just trying to be aware of my feelings, as they have such a strong impact on my weightloss.
Thanks for listening, yet again - you are awesome !

up to 169.2 and totally fine with that, it is actually not as big a jump back up as I was expecting. Even that pound up makes my wosh over 2 lbs . . who's going to complain about that?

Gym tonight for a repeat of my C25K, I'm enjoying the idea of becoming a runner more than I thought I would :) Could be that it's distracting me from boy drama which isn't going well at all, but really, there's nothing I can do about it so there's no point in letting it derail my goals anymore.

Carter - your still in ONEderland, be proud lady!

Time2loseit - Nip it in the bud, good for you for taking control :)

Diana - Here's hoping the busy week ahead goes smoothly and quickly for you

Aimee - seriously, so glad to see you back :) Im excited for April weather, I want to be able to run at the forks, its a gorgeous walking trail by the river. Kudos for getting back on plan and getting out of the 60's so quickly!!

Star - you are an amazing women, I wish I was as self aware and able to seperate the stressors in my life as you seem to be doing. Very inspiring.

Angie - how is the running going for you? I love how many people are starting out with it, makes it feel like im not doing it on my own :)

Just a quick one for me right now too.....

I'm up .4 to 206.8. No worries. Did a little something different yesterday. I did 50 inclined push ups and 45mins of light dancing. WOW do I feel it in my arms and BACK from the pushups. It feels so goooood!!! (GOSH! Does this make me sadistic? LOL) Cant do those today. Going to the gym after work for another abuse session on the treadmill.

It doesnt make you sadistic . . cause then it makes me sadistic for buying a stepper thingy so I can do incline pushups and weights at home while watching tv. Its equipment that is ok if Jack gets in the mood to play with (he tries to pick up my weights now so I have to hide them) and Im setting a personal goal of 3000 steps . . . eventually LMAO.

Vixsin: Morning! I should try those pushups, I have not been able to hit my back at all. I'm just never sore with the workouts that I do.

Ona: Thanks! I'm so happy to finally see this number! I had to go back to eating Oatmeal for breakfast most of the week but it works. I'm so happy you're going down, I was sticking at 172 for almost 2 weeks and it was playing mind games with me. So I'm happy to know you're seeing results from hard work too!

fitkristi: Hang in there. After you get clean (lol), remember that you have come so far... I love seeing your posts because they inspire me to keep up the good work. SO LET ME INSPIRE YOU TO STICK TO PLAN!

starbright: I usually see drops after about 2 weeks. (TMI) I have a sloooow digestive system so it takes a while for me to see changes. XD

coondocks: Just keep that positive spirit. I can get a little worked up over even slight gains and it makes me irritable for the rest of the day

time2loseit: I love to weigh everyday, if only to understand how much daily fluctuations can vary. It also keeps my mind on the prize!

I have a little bounce up today. I'm up .4 to 186.6, but I upped the weight during strength training yesterday, so that's probably all it is because goodness am I sore today!

Angie

Up .2 today, but still in the 2-teens, so I’m pleased with that. I ate out at lunch yesterday, so comparing some of my bounces last month to this, I’ll take this any day. My mini NSV for yesterday was that I had sweet potato fries at lunch, but I did not throw in the towel and call it an off plan day, I adjusted my dinner (spaghetti squash with a few extra lean meat balls and tomato sauce) and stayed on plan for the evening. Overall I only exceeded my calories by 129, so not too bad at all.

Starbrite -- I’m sorry there’s no resolution with the organization you work with now. My hope for you then is that this will open up bright new avenues for you and a new chapter in your life.

Kathy -- Good plan, make changes that will bring you better results. :carrot:

Coondocks -- It’s going great, I’m going to do another week 1 run tonight and on Saturday I’ll start week 2  I love it too!

MadameZ -- Congrats on reaching 15lbs!!

Ona -- Awesome job! I’m so happy for you

Kristi -- Poor you and poor them! My suggestion is just close your eyes for 2 minutes and then start the day over, fresh from that point!

Vixsin -- You are an exercise rockstar! I’m sure your gain must just be from the muscle aches.

Bulletproof -- Good job on getting back down there!

Fitgirl -- Sorry about your gain, but as you said it’s likely from your extra work yesterday. I’ll cross my fingers for a whoosh for you tomorrow.

I'm baaaaaack.....anyone remember me? :)

I was here last spring/summer, then had unexpected surgery which derailed me a bit. Or, perhaps a little more than a bit. I decided to scare myself straight this morning by stepping on the scale, and apparently I have gained back 20 of the 30 pounds I lost last year. No one to blame but myself!

I'm off to change my ticker (which is wrong right now and depressing me.)

Weight today was 228.4.

Angie - I can't wait to hear how you do!

Coondocks - you are doing pretty fabulous yourself! I am pretty close to The Forks, so I definitely love going for walks down there in the summer! And along Wellington Cres! Being out of the 260's was short lived, thank you TOM! Thanks for the warm welcome, it feels nice to be missed :)

Ona - congrats on the new low!!

Sorry ladies, I am running late for work.. but I am reading everything! :)

As for me? TOM came, and I'm bloated and sore, and sore.. and sore! The scale was UP .9 this morning, back into the 260's! Poop :( But at least I know the source. I did my workout this morning, even though I didn't want to.. Did I mention I'm sore? ;) Darn cramps.. Anyways, off to work I go!

March 1 - 260.4
March 2 - 259.9 (-.5)
March 3 - 260.8 (+.9, TOM)

Well, my weigh-in this morning was confusing, lol. My scale confirmed 247.2 or 247.4 (I always have to check three times before I will accept a weight on this scale because it's been on the fritz), but then - while I was writing the personals below, I'd forgotten which one of those it had been, so I got up and checked it again and now it's confirming me in at 246.8. I tried several different times, and it kept coming up with that, so I will take that one...haha. That will mean a 1 lb loss for the day.

But, then...(sorry for the long story here, lol)...I remembered this morning that I was talking on another thread about trying my Wii scale in comparison to my regular one because it has been so extremely glitchy lately, and it ended up coming up with a smidge below 243.0...what the heck!? :headache: Do any of you have such huge differences between traditional scales and the Wii one? Obviously, I like the Wii reading better, but I'm going to stick with the regular scale for the sake of consistency. That being said, however, I am probably going to go out and get a new scale sometime this week. I keep talking about it, but this has been the straw on the metaphorical camel's back. If I'm going to be doing these daily weighing projects, I need some dependable accuracy.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Vixsin - Awww, I feel bad for him, but he's a cute little thing. Also, that's not a bad gain after such a nice workout! Good job!

FitGirl - Wow, 632 calories an hour!? Looks like I might need to try some Zumba, lol.

Angie - Yay, back in the two-teens! Congrats! :yay:

SwimGirl - I knew a couple of girls in my class who started right at 9, and they hated it, so I'm sorry! I was a regular kid who got it around 12, and I started out pretty regular, but it went off track before I was halfway through high school. I've gone as long as 10 or so months without one, and then it will come back the next few months, and then be gone again for another 4-5, and so on. It's very frustrating! But, I'm thinking that's the life of PCOS. Anyways, enough TMI, sorry about that. Good job on getting your workouts in! Don't sweat any small gains while TOM is in town. Keep up the good work. ;)

Paradise - Wooo, midterms are over! I bet you are relieved. Also, good on you for choosing water instead!

Starbrite - I'm sorry to hear that. But, I do wish you the very best of the best wherever your newest path will take you once your job there is over. Hopefully, you will continue on to find a job you love just as much as this one, and that you will also be able to keep in touch with your present coworkers that you so enjoy, as well.

Carter - At least you've got some of that bouncing room under 200 that you've worked so hard to have! You'll be back down and under with another new low before you know it.

MadameZombie - Congrats on hitting 15 lbs lost! That's wonderful!

Ona - Aww, thank you! So are you! I saw that so many people had their own pictures up, and it was nice to see who we were all talking/typing to, so I figured I would do the same. Also, congrats on your newest low! You're doing an awesome job, really. You'll be in Onederland in no time...so exciting!

FitKristi - Oh no! That sounds terrible. I'm sorry your night was so dreadful. Just think of drinking water and eating clean, healthful foods today as your way of pampering yourself after such an ordeal. I'm sure your body would thank you for it, and you will feel more relaxed at the end of the day because of it. Good luck, and I hope tonight is better for you!

Bulletproof - Congrats! Also, you've been having some nice losses this month...keep it up!

Arctic Mama - Congrats on hitting Onederland! :yay:

Cita - I'm too new to have been around when you were here, but WELCOME BACK! Being back on 3FC will no doubt help you shed any weight you've gained since your surgery.

Gale - So glad your back is starting to feel better today! It's too bad that people are getting sick now though, hope you guys can shake it off before it spreads around too much!

Pamatga - At least you came back down in weight! So, congrats on that. And, I have to be careful when I have cashews in the house, or I'm likely to do the same thing you did with your almonds, lol. So, I feel you on that one!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Whew, that's quite a wall of text there! Anyone I may have missed, sorry about that! Again, it's insane trying to keep up with this thread. Which is a good thing, I guess! Keep at it everyone, you're all doing so well...gains, losses, and all! We're all still here and working at it, and that's the most important thing. :grouphug:

opheliaphoenix Bed Bath and Beyond has a really big selection of scales. I know because a few months ago when I was looking for one I went to 4 DIFFERENT STORES and not a single place had one. It was a big waste of an evening.

Ok, so when I started with the serious weight/strength training last month I knew that it was going to mess with my scale. I made an agreement with myself then that I would take measurements every month on the 3rd. Since the 3rd of Feb. I have only lost 2.4 pounds. However, I have lost an inch from my chest, an inch from my waist (at belly button), 1/4 inch from my hips, and 1/2 inch each from my unflexed upper arms. Sadly, none from my legs this month. That's a total of 3.25 inches lost this last month. :woohoo: Plus, I added 1/4 inch to my flexed bicep! I've also gone from wearing very tight size 12 pants to wearing size 12 pants that actually fit and I am just starting to see the top cut of the 6 pack abs that I will have and my side dips are very clear. I love my strength training! Muscle is sexy!

Arctic Mama - Congrats on Onederland :woohoo:

SwimGirl - I'm so sorry you had to see that number again, but you know it's just Tom, the jerk!

Gale - Glad your back is feeling better. I'm sorry your guys are sick, hope they are feeling better soon!

Ophelia - I don't think it really matters much which scale you use so long as you just pick one. I think the time of day you weigh, what you're wearing, etc. are much more important than the type of scale. Is your wii board on carpet? If not then I would trust it more than a fritzy traditional scale. I usually use a regular scale because my wii is mostly kept in a carpeted room, but when it is off of the carpet it's only a few tenths of a pound off from the doc scale and the gym scale, fwiw! And zumba is awesome! If you can get to a class you should, if not, there's also a zumba game for the wii, but I don't burn as much with the game as in class (still higher than traditional aerobics though).

ArcticMama - Congratulations on entering Onederland!

Cita -- Welcome back :welcome:

Aimee --

Gale -- I'm glad you're feeling better today, just in time to care for others, huh? :)

Ophelia -- I normally find every scale gives me a different weight I just count the one at home for my weigh ins here. What's nice is that the one at my weight loss dr.s office weighs me a teensy bit lower. It could be the battery in your scale that's off (if it's electronic!) -- I would have taken the 246 as well -- congratulations!

Ona -- Thanks! I agree sweet potato fries aren't so bad, I count them as off plan because of the darn (delicious) deep frying. These are the first fries I've had since our Disney trip though, 3 months! I've tried baking them in the oven at home before but never was crazy about the ones I made. I may have to try again, they are a good carb.

Roxy -- Great job on your inches lost!

Thankfully I didn't sabotage myself too much yesterday. The baby has another ear infection, despite the tubes they just inserted 3 weeks ago, and tonsillitis on top of that. So yeah. Thankfully we were able to get her fever to break (It got up to 103.8) and she slept pretty good last night, which meant that *I* slept pretty good last night. I'm hoping now that she is on 2 different antibiotics that it will kick this infection to the curb, since she has had a near constant ear infection still since mid-December.

I'm up 5lbs in 2 days, go figuire. As much as I hate to say today MUST be a REST, I'm BEYOND sore the last 2 days. I ran those 15 miles and felt wonderful. Truth be told, sometimes I ache after Long Runs this time I did not. I dropped a couple of pounds, not sure if they were water or what, I did drink 80oz of fluid that day. The next day I took a new class at the Gym "WillPower & Grace" Basically it was 70 minutes of leg squats and lunges. WOWZERS I was dying yesterday when I woke up. The scale reflected the muscle pain as the sore muscles packed on some water weight to protect themselves. Being the Hereo I always make myself to be, I decided to stick to my Maratho Schedule and run 4 miles in 40min. Despite being totally sore with each step. Well here I am totally sore still and really wanting to follow my typical morning routine with the gym. However I force the rest. I have plans to run 7 miles tomrw so I really need to settle down, let my muscles recover, get this water weight down. Amusingly looking forward to a big whoosh in numbers which I know will throw me down to about 167 or maybe less. It's incredibly typical for me.

You all know I read everyday, as usual I say "wished I could fiquire out how yo all master these personal so well" Lol- I say Thanks for including me sometimes! It feels flattering.

Arctic Mama! Congrats on OnderLand!!!!

Coon- Thanks for the sweet compliment the other day!

Diana- holding steady, I always admire the consisentcy of your calories in. Quick question now that you are at/close to goal do you worry that caloric intake is so low or are you comfortable with about 1400 cals in everyday? Just curious as I round my way toward hitting goal I am eagerly curious what magic number will help me sustain.

WillowGirl- 2lbs already, awesome and great news about the time off!

twinmommaplusone The calories I show are + my morning coffee. I estimate my morning coffee is 200-300 calories. I thought it was closer to 200 but it may actually be closer to 300. I don't measure my cream and sugar in the mornings. I use real half and half and sugar. I tried measuring one day and like I said, it may be closer to 300 calories. :o :D So if I say 1470 calories, it's actually + 200-300 calories. I'm probably getting closer to 1700-1800 calories a day. Do you count calories? If so, how many are you eating?

I'm UP another .8 today to 187.4! I don't really know what that's about. I had a small sandwich from quizno last night, but my calories were good for the day and that was the only high sodium thing I had all day. Hmph!

twinmomma - That class you took sounds evil! I want one! LOL I'm sadistic. I take an hour long class where we lift weights to the neat of the music. It includes squats and lunges with the bar on our shoulders, but I can't imagine if the whole class was squats!

Diana - I love that you give yourself your coffee and don;t stress over it and measure it. What would be the point if we took away everything we love, right?

170.4. Stayed the same so I'm happy about that, means that this number is not a fluke! I'm hoping to duck below it by Saint Patrick's Day. It's been 2 years since I've seen the 160s.

FitGirlyGirl Exactly! That's one of the things that I have chosen not to measure. It is what it is and I am going to enjoy it as much as I can. ;) Life is good and it's even better with :coffee:

down another .2 to 169.0
I feel so renewed with things lately, its fantastic.
Sadly, I think a lot of it has to do with accepting that I mentally walked out of the relationship with Shaun months and months ago, we had a good long talk last night and it cleared a lot of fear, tension, trust issues etc. We don't know what we will do now but the first step is rebuilding the freidnship we had, that was important to us both.

Anyway . . . . though not officially 80 lbs lost, i know that bounce up wasn't fat so I'm taking it ha ha . . . I had to attatch a pic just cause :)

Angie - You look AMAZING!! I can't get over what a change you have gone through, WOW is all I can say :D

Madame - Not fluke when the number sticks :) Im sure you'll see those 60's for St Patricks day :luck2you:

FitKristi - Ear infections are horrible, I had 2 sets of tubes in my ears before I was 4, I can only imagine the toll that took on my mother. You are rocking it out and doing so well, kudos to you!!

Ona - Puch on lady push on . . . Onederland is yours this month!!!

I have to get some work done . . lots of money to send out today and unfortunately none of it to me . . hardly seems fair :p

Vixsin

Madame Zombie: I loathe pushups but they have become really effective for me. I started out doing wall pushups and have progressed to an incline pushup. I'll lean against my sink or my desk at work and do roughly 10-15 at a time. Wait an hour or so and do another set. It's an all day affair. LOL I have begun playing around with where I put my arms. I'll put them at exactly shoulder width and on the way down keep my elbows close to my body to really engage the tricep. The 50 that I did the other day were wider than shoulder width and I really focused on keeping my head up and my shoulders down and relaxed and it really engaged my back.

Kukkie: 30DS?!?!?! WOW!!! Let us know how it is! I've only heard good things!

DixC: Congrats on your loss and NOT having a cone of shame!!! :)

Angie: Great pics!!!!! And I love the pink jacket BTW!! Love your new avatar too! Pretty lady! And I LOVE sweet potato fries!!! I bake them and season them with a dash of garlic and onion powder. WOW!!! I count them as a good carb too! I almost like them more than the real thing....almost. lol

Starbrite: Keep on keepin on! It's just water. It's nothing! :)

Ona: Go GET some!!!! Enjoy your workout!!!

Fitkristi: Great job on keeping your eating together. Hope your little one feels better soon!

Nicole: Great job. 222.2 was one of my favorite weights to get down to. I just liked the number.

Twinmomma: Your runs are always so inspiring to me! I agree and think you need to REST, REST, REST! Your muscles are screaming at you! LOL As far as keeping up with personals...I'll tell you my secret. I open an extra tab and use that as my reply screen. As I am reading, I click over and jot a quick note and then click back over and keep reading. It seems to work well so far. LOL And ALWAYS happy to include you!!! You're one of us now!!!

Time2Loseit: Great job identifying the problem! Way to get back on track!

Panatga: Yeah, sodium is a scale killer. LOL Drink lots of water and eat nice and clean and your weight will be right back down.

FitGirlyGirl: Hang in there! I'm sure it's just water. Silly Quiznos! LOL

Coon!!!!!! HOT MAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: THAT should be your avatar pic! Holy cow woman! My favorite part of your pic are your amazing collarbones!!! Sounds like the talk with Shaun was both difficult and yet amazing at the same time. I'm glad you guys are working on becoming friends. Without that, nothing else will be possible. Im proud of ya! ANNND how was the C25K???????? :)

______________
I am down .8 today to 206.0. :yay: Had a great workout last night!!! 50 mins on the treadmill. I ran for 30 and then inclined walked for 20. I ended up burning approx 525ish. I was pleased. I am always pleased if I can get my calorie burn to 500. I'm sore today so no treadmill for me. I'm toying with Yoga tonite though. LOL I'm thinking about it.

Got my hair did last night by my best pal. Loving it today! More highlights and covered up all of that pesky gray hair!! LOL Looking REAL forward to seeing Hot Counselor tonight when I pick up the boy!!! :whoo: SWOON!!!!!

Went over to MIL's house for dinner last night since we moved out of their house. I thought it would be awkward and that I would hate being there, but surprisingly it was okay. She even kind of went out of her way to make foods that I like, albeit not in the healthiest manner. But I stuck to my portions and was rewarded this morning > down 0.9 to 198.3. I feel like I'm starting all over, but I also feel like I need to start all over in order to get some momentum going for me again. LA and San Fran is only 2.5 months away now so have to get some mojo happening over here! Only two more weeks until my elliptical arrives. And I'm committed to getting on it every single day! But until then, 30DS begins tomorrow. I've had it for a couple of weeks now, but with the sprained wrist before the move, I just didn't want to aggravate the pain any more. I think I'm okay now and will just start off with lighter weights, but I need to get back in the groove. I'll stop rambling now....

Ona  Thank you!

Diana I don't count my coffee either! I have to have my two cups in the morning otherwise the world doesn't function. I only count it if I ever have an extra one in the afternoon.

Coon Glad you and Shaun are talking things through. Communication is oh so important in any relationship and I know you both value that friendship, especially for your son's sake, so I'm glad things went well last night. Is Shaun back yet? PS I loveeeeeee your picture and agree with Vixsin, it should be your new avatar!

Vixsin  I think it's great that you're doing pushups at work! What an awesome way to sneak in bits of exercise. No wonder you're seeing such great numbers!!!!!

Madame not a fluke when you see it more than once! You'll absolutely get down to the 60s by St. Patty's!

FitGirlyGirl don't even worry about it. Just flush it back out with water today and watch the number fall!

pamatga you can do this! Make sure you get lots of water in today to flush out all that sodium

twinmommaplusone you've been going hard lately and your body needs time to rest girl!!! You know what you need to do! But let me say I'm sooo impressed by your determination to keep up your routine!

 to anyone I missed, but I have to get back to work now! I'll try to check back later :)

Cita - welcome back!!

ophelia - I would say that you should just keep consistent with your scale, I ALWAYS use the wii, because I found that my regular scale would give me a different number if I leaned to the side. I am trying to ignore the scale, while still embracing it with TOM, that confused me to even write down! Normally I get a 2-5 pound gain, so .9 is nothing :) Congrats on your loss, and whatever number you decided to take :)

Ona - jogging is pretty darn great! Congrats on your loss! 201!! wow!!

fitgirly - I think ophelia said it best, tom is a jerk! Congrats on the inches lost!! Amazing!! Thats what I am trying to focus on, inches instead of huge drops. What time did you eat? Did you.. have a good "movement" this morning? .8 could easily be from that. Don't worry about it, it'll be gone before you know it!

Kukkie - we can be in pain together!! Woohoo!! I am on day 4, my goal is to do 5 days, take one day of rest, 5 more days 1 rest, and then move on to the next level. I am kicking myself for not taking inches sooner, I'll do them tomorrow, make sure you take yours! I'm thinking about making a trip out to San Francisco myself, I've been putting it off because its SO expensive to fly there from here :(

Angie - lookin' good!! :D

willow - Beaches in California sound like an amazing thing to work for!!

Coondocks - well looks like we are both putting some more time in here in Winnipeg! We'll have to meet for drinks at The Forks this summer, or maybe sign up for a 5k! Sorry to hear about things with you a Shaun. At least you are looking GREAT :D

Vixsin - I did 25 days of 30 day shred a few years ago now, and I lost about 10 inches, and I think 1 pound, but the inches were AMAZING! It's a pretty great workout! Congrats on your .8 :)

I'm going to go jump on my scale... I'll be back with the number!

Vix - the running is going well, i'm enjoying it more than I thought. Hoping tomorrow morning I can get in another run at the gym if Jack is up to playing with the other kids there. edit: WOW there is a noticeable difference in your pics, way to GO!!

Aimee - Yup, looks like its Winnipeg for me for at least 6 more months, sigh. Im completely up for drinks at the forks, I really enjoy sitting outside when the weather gets nicer, its great. 5k . . . Im in if you are :D

Ona - Thank you :) Im needing tone more than anything right now, little more off the legs and hips, but toning up for sure

MAtilda - Thanks for the compliment, kick those teens in the butt!! I know you can do it :)

Kukkie - Im actually really at ease with how things went talking to him last night - it feels like we are finally at a point we are being totally honest with eachother and ourselves. He's back in Vancouver, trying to come in to wpg this month. Good on you for the loss!!:carrot:

So the scale went down, -0.2, I wasn't expecting it to go down.. so I'm a little happy with that. I'll take what I can get!

Vixsin - For some reason I enjoy stupidly hard workouts, and it's only 20 minutes, so it's perfect because I'm very out of shape! Run! You gotta keep it up!

Coondocks - a 5 k would be a better choice, but drinks may be just what we'll need AFTER a 5k! I've got a LOT to do to get in enough shape to do a 5k, so we'll be waiting on that for a little :D

Afternoon, ladies!

I'm up this week, 0.8. This is my first up week since the end of December, and I'm not too happy about it. I've been drinking enough water and staying on plan for the last two days, and for the two days before that, I was still eating under maintenance calories...I don't know what's up, but I hope it sorts itself out soon ... Anyway, maybe I needed a jolt to keep me on track.

Coondocks and vixsin, WOW! You both look awesome :D

Matilda, time2loseit, twinmomma, fitgirlygirl and pamatga, hang in there!! Let's undo stupid bounces ... :sumo:

opheliaphoenix, my scale is on the fritz too. Stupid technology ;) I'm avoiding buying a new one, though, because I'm afraid it'll be higher than mine now.

Up a bit to 220.6 today, I guess it's either the eating out this week or some sodium catching up to me, but I'm on plan and doing well so I won't sweat it. Dinner at my dad's tomorrow - that's always a challenge, but I'll do my best.

Reptogirl - Hi! Looks like you are doing well.

Ona - Thanks about the avatar. I really liked that old pic, but it was about 5 years old! Maybe I'll make some sweet potato (baked) fries this weekend...yum.

Fitgirl - Thank you...I do like pink :) It's just sodium, don't worry...it will pass.

Coon - Thank you -- you look awesome too. I'm very envious of your collarbones, which might sound silly, but I really admire collarbones and miss my own! I'm sorry about everything with Shaun, you didn't deserve the heartache. I'm glad you can work on rebuilding the friendship, that will be such a benefit to Jack.

Vixsin -- Thank you about the pics, and the jacket :) I would love to see a pic of your new 'do' if you're up to it -- oh, nm I just saw it! Yes, you can definitely see the difference, you're looking great, and very happy too! Few things make me feel better than getting my hair done -- it's always so soft when the hairdresser does it.

Kukkie - Congrats on your loss today!

Aimee -- Hi and thanks!

Morning everyone
Totally hacked off this morning - up 1.6. For the first time in 11 months I cheated  There are no excuses, but I am just so cross with myself. 11 months of focus, and now, due to the terrible stress I'm under I give in. I didn't totally stuff myself or anything, more I ate 3 strips of fried chicken and then ate a dinner at my friends which was laden with salt. It could have been worse, but I felt sabotage :o
This is a hard part of the journey. I'm nearly there, but still a long way away. Everything has slowed down, and stress is crippling me. I will not lose focus, but I have to change something.
Ladies, sorry for the rambling, I just needed to get all that off my chest

Good Morning!

starbrite You've been going through a lot of stress with your job. Take a deep breath. Realize that you over ate, but it's one little blip. Pick yourself up, and get right back on that horse! You can do this. You have come such a long way. The stress you have been under could have been slowing down your weight loss, too. I think you are closer to goal than you even realize. Within 2-3 months you could be there. That is not that far away. Get your focus! Again, you can do this.

Kristi Look at you go! Great job on the 1.4 pounds. You have totally :kickbutt: 200 to the curb. ;)

Star Maybe you don't have to changes things up, just yet. Just get your focus back and keep doing what has been working all along. Analyze it once you are feeling less stressed. It could just be that the stress is having this effect on you/your body.

Diana - loosing durring TOM, you are unstoppable woman!!

Star - You're right, it could have been a lot worse and for a lot of people it would have! Stress is horrible, I know the feeling all too well with your mind going in so many directions, its unbearable. Keep positive that you COULD have done a lot worse and you DID keep focus on not using it as an excuse to say screw the day let me have what I want. That's something to be proud of. :)

FitKristi - fantastic WI today, woot woot!! :carrot:

Angie - I'm still getting used to the collar bones and thinking seriously, those are mine?? I don't like the heartache either, who does, but I have to remember it's so much better to realize this now than a few months after uprooting Jacks life as he's known it, only to figure out things aren't working.

Aimee - Im all for a 5k walk, jog, or just a jaunt around the forks. I'm lucky enough that I have sat-mon off almost every week . . . anytime you want to go for a coffee or water :p drop me a line :)

Starbrite - I agree with Diana - stress could be the culprit -can you find a way to just chill out for a bit?

Well, I'm still not sure where it came from since I have never had quizno do that to me before, but it's gone again today. I'm down a pound to 186.4. I was actually surprised because I am soooo sore today. I was expecting to be even further up. Right now everything hurts, if I have one, it hurts!

Kukkie - Good luck with the 30DS!

Vixsin - I can definitely see the difference. Your glasses look much cuter on your face now too. :yay:

starbrite - Just get right back to normal and it will be ok. I think it's understandable with all you're going through right now. Be thankful that you caught yourself early and didn't let it snowball.

fitkristi - congrats on the woosh

I hope everyone is having an awesome weekend so far!

DixC Chix Thank you. I have been busy at work this week and obviously missed something. Why are you on bed rest? I hope everything is OK. Great job on the 1.5 pounds!

Fitgirlygirl Congrats on losing that pound. It could have just been a daily fluctuation and not Quiznos.

Slowly moving back down to my ticker weight. For some reason my body doesn't really like to lose weight after about the 3rd month of nursing. For the past 3 months I've been taking that as "permission" (of sorts) to slack, since "it's pointless anyhow." But, today I've realized that even a fairly slow loss over the next 6-7 months (when I will wean) will most likely result in me being back to baby #1 PPW (197). I'll take it! So, no more slacking for me. :)

Hi guys! I was hoping to do personals today but it's turned out to be a busier day than I expected. :dizzy: I'll try to stop back again later today, or at least say hi to everyone tomorrow.

Anyhow, quick check-in: Delighted to report a small whoosh down to 196 today, a new low!

Happy weekend everyone!

I had a really ugly day yesterday -- meaning I felt so ugly -- so it was nice to hear compliments on my photos, thank you for that. Today I decided to put some real effort into my appearance...I got up, did my Week 2 Day 1 workout for C25K, had a shower and then I blow dried my hair straight-- just like at the salon and put on makeup. I feel ready to go to a wedding or something lol, but instead DS and i went to Walmart and had our passport photos done.

I'm up 2oz again today...so maybe it's not what I'm eating, maybe its the start of TOM or something else-- I've been on plan for the week and this kind of came out of nowhere. My calorie budget is 1450 per day, and that should put me at a loss of about 2lbs per week...well, I've eaten less than that most days this week, more in the 1200-1400 range...plus I've been running. Anyway, I'll keep chugging along and see what tomorrow brings.

Bulletproof -- When is your cousin's wedding?

Starbrite -- Don't beat yourself up, sodium won't stay with you for long after all. The journey is long, I'm sure there is room for breaks along the way, and you don't have to feel so guilty over it. I think the real problems start when that one break leads to another and another, but if you can limit it to one, you're doing fine.

Nice whoosh Kristi!

Morning Diana -- congrats on your .4

Ona -- Well done on your .2 -- so so soooo close to ONEderland!!

Bulletproof -- Great job on your 1.2! You're having a good month already :)

Kukkie -- Congrats on your .5 -- wishing you another .5 for tomorrow. Sending lots of good vibes for resisting temptation at the party :flow2:

Asher -- Yes you can do it! This is not off limits to you. Don't let what happened before determine what will happen this time, it's yours for the taking.

DixCChix -- Thanks! Congrats on your 1.5 Hope you feel better soon

Fitgirl -- I'm glad that pound whooshed away again!

Gale -- Congrats on your .4 :)

Cartner -- Good job on the new low!

Busy today, have a paper to write and feeling sick for the first time this winter. Not happy about getting sick. I thought I'd gain because I had Arby's for lunch yesterday, but it all worked out okay.

2/28 - 224.0

1. 225.6 (+1.6)
2. 222.7 (-2.9) Finally a whoosh. I was so worried that having pizza last night would cause a gain like it did last month, but instead, YAY!!!
3. 222.6 (-0.1) Didn't expect much after my whoosh, just happy it didn't go up.
4. 222.2 (-0.4)
5. 222.0 (-0.2) I guess slow and steady wins the race. I am happy though to see it going DOWN and not up.

Not a lot of time for personals at the moment, but congrats on all the losses and any new progress photos! You all are doing awesome. May come back for personals later, or with my next update.

As for me, I forgot to post my weigh-in for yesterday, but it was a +0.8 bounce (247.6) from my last check-in. However, today, I'm back down below it at 246.0, so I guess the extra 1.6 was just a temporary fluctuation. Whew!

:dizzy: I will see 259 by Friday...I will see 259 by Friday... :dizzy:

I'm having a lot of trouble lately getting in my water and protein. I end up chugging the water at night to just barely pass 64 oz., but I'd really like to get back up to around 90, where I've noticed my losses are best. I need to come up with a way to remind myself. And with the protein, I'm just lost. With my calorie, carb and fat limits, I'm finding it nearly impossible to get to 70g of protein. I just posted in Nutrition about it, so hopefully I'll get some ideas.

Cutiecourt, that sounds like so much fun!! I wish I could be involved in something like that for some extra motivation. I'm so competitive! And congrats on the whoooosh!

Angie, Happy Pretty Day! We all need those :) I feel so much better when I blow-dry my hair and wear a little makeup. For a while, I was just wearing T-shirts every day and never doing anything to my hair, and I got in a real rut.

DixC, I hope you feel better

opheliaphoenix, carter, nicole, pamatga, gale, fit, dixie, asher, bullet proof, ona, kristi, congrats on the losss!

Kukkie, have fun tonight!

starbrite, give yourself a break!! I wish I could say I went even one month without slipping up — 11 months is amazing!! You're back on track now, and that's all that matters. But you learned the valuable lesson of how crappy it feels to let yourself down. Don't beat yourself up — you're doing an incredible job!

Paradise Falls -- Yes, I was feeling in a rut. I think I just noticed it yesterday and that's why I felt so awful about how I looked. The pretty day was good for me. I also went and bought some new facial cleanser and moisturizers and stuff...so I'll be motivated to keep it up.

*Light bulb moment* TOM arrived this evening, 3 days early - that helps me understand the wonky weigh ins lately. Still hoping for the best tomorrow.

Down 0.9 of the bounce up I had yesterday. CHugged water like a camel, and was very aware of my food intake. Was very late to bed though, and hardly slept.
Thanks to everyone for their kind comments. I'll be ok, just struggling with so many things at the moment. I know weightloss is not linear, and has us all confused at times. I guess this is just one of those times. Have a lovely sunday.

Paradise-I love all things protein. I spent two years following South Beach Diet. I credit that with really cleaning up my eating.

Here are some of my favorites:

turkey bacon, tuna fish, chocolate (now I got your attention!), skim milk, low fat cheese like string or mozzarella, eggs anyway you want, same with chicken, pork ( the forgotten meat), beef on occasion (I love lean sirloin steak grilled), fish in "all shapes and sizes", and, finally, legumes.

You can find out some others by visiting the low carb sub-sites here on 3FC. In my opinion, if you have to choose between carbs and protein, go with protein, it is a better nutritional choice all the way around. Most people overdo carbs anyway.

Good Morning, Everyone!

I'm down to my pre-TTOM low (ticker weight). It's still TTOM, so no telling where I will bounce to tomorrow. I bounce a lot during TTOM and don't have the whooshes that everyone else talks about. :( It's a total pain, when like last month, I had TTOM for 11 days. That's 11 days of nothing happening. :dunno: It could always be worse though. ;)

Saturday is normally my high calorie day. I didn't do that yesterday because I wanted to eat some Thai food today. We are going for Fresh Basil Spring Rolls and Grilled Chicken Satay. It will be healthy food, but I'm always unsure of the calories in foods like that.

Starbrite Congrats on the .9.

Angie,I've been trying different facial products lately too. I've lost so much weight in my face until my jaws are sagging:( They say Black don't crack but it
sags :D
I wanted to lose weight but not that much in my face since that's always been the best part of me appearance :( *sigh* Mother and family are talking about my face but They have just got to get use to my new look and ..really,it's not that bad so I decided to stop worrying about it cause it is, what it is and deal with it later.I talked to my doctor about a little face lift(she recommended a person) but IDK..

Well, up another .8 today...I took my calories a bit higher yesterday to see if I was eating too low, but that didn't work either. Bah. Anyway, sooner or later eating right and exercising WILL work, I'm just getting a bit impatient :dizzy: I've eaten chicken for the last 6 straight meals..I think we'll have steak tonight.

Diana -- Thank you  -- Yes, I think TOM had a lot to do with my ugly day. I am guilty of not taking great care of my skin though, I always had nice skin naturally, but you can't take it for granted forever. Yesterday I invested in some nice (aka expensive) face cleansers and moisturizers. Yes, I live with my curly hair but really would love it to be straight. I'll change my avatar to show you how 'straight' looks...it's still wavy normally, especially if we have any humidity. Your Thai food sounds yummy!

Starbrite -- I'm glad the scale changed direction for you! I'm going to follow your example and try to up my water today.

Pamatga -- I am on a high protein diet too, but it's also low sodium and low fat. I eat pork too though, lean cuts, my favourite is pork tenderloin, I can do a million things with that and the whole family loves it.

Ona -- Congrats on your .4!! I might cry too when you get to 200!

I took a bit of a rest day yesterday. I needed it. All I did for exercise was march in place for 30 minutes and some crunches. Most of the crunches we done on my new ab flyer machine that hubby and I found at a thrift store. We got it for $40 in like new condition and they are $200 new! Yay! I have been wanting one, but not willing to spend $200 on such a specialized piece of equipment. I am down .2 today to 186.2.

Gale - Good job on looking at it with a different attitude.

Angie - Your avatar pic is gorgeous! Though I think the one before it was beautiful too. Women tend to want their hair to be whichever way it isn't. Curly girls want straight, straight haired girls want curls. I think your hair looks great either way.

Cutie - You office challenge sounds fun. Good luck!

Vixsin - I think going to the gym is an awesome reaction!

starbrite - congrats on getting the scale back down. Silly bounce! It doesn't know who it's messin with!

Diana - Tom messes with me a lot too and I'm just coming out of an 18 day long one, so I feel your pain.

Good morning ladies!! :) Didn't have a chance to check in at all yesterday, it was pretty crazy, but I managed to get a workout in! :D

starbrite - sorry to hear about all the stress in your life, and I hope it gets better soon. As for the weight loss, at this point, I can confidently say that you know what you are doing and have some faith that it'll come off :) "Chugged water like a camel " I love it!

Diana - your thai food is making me drool, I am STARVING, and will be making breakfast when I get off the computer. Congrats on the pre-tom weight during TOM!

Ona - you are getting close, so make sure you've got the tissue on hand ;) Great job :) You can deal with a lot of that sagging with a great skin cream, a lot of sagging is due to loss of water in the face which seems to hit around 40-55 in women, so hydration is important too. If you are interested I can give you a list of ingredients you should look for in a firming cream. Let me know :)

Angie - I also have curly hair, but I constantly straighten it. It can be a lot of work, but I just stopped thinking about it as optional, I always feel better with my hair done. I hate those "ugly" days too, but a little makeup always seems to help :) What kind of skin care did you buy? Not that I'm addicted to skin care or anything - I spend my life selling the stuff!

fitgirly - I'm thinking I'm ready for a rest day tomorrow, doesn't sound like you had that much of a rest day! Nice find on the ab flyer!!

Coondocks - it's feeling like spring! And yes, I agree, we should totally go out for drinks, a run, walk, jog.. etc :D

Alright, time to go WI! be back with my FABULOUS results (here's hoping!!)

Diana- Enjoy your Dinner out tonight! To answer your question from the other day, yes I calorie count too, up untill December I was hand journaling but sparks is great because it will break it down how much sodium/fiber/vitamin c and carbs/protein/fats I consume. I really like seeing it all broken down, especially since I have pcos I try to eat a little less carbs than most.

Angie- Be patient and typically for me it's easier to just aim for a calorie range and just stick with it. My body never found a number that it worked best at.

OniMi- I was also taught a long time ago to lotion the neck and when you spread and touch the skin never tug or pull gently lotion "up" . don't know if it helps but it's what I heard. Sagging everything is my problem, lmao.

pamatga- that sodium intake will kill you, lol but at the least it will sabotage your efforts to see typical numbers on the scale. it will retain lots of water and what I worry about most too with eating out is the sodium is often MSG which is something I worry about for people. One fabulous thing that helped us (since we LOVE to eat out was to eat in more often and before leaving to go dinner- I pull up online menus and look at the nutritional lists and plan what I order ahead of time :-) Plus I keep myself around 1500mg a day and no more than 2000. What really helps is to avoid packaged and processed foods. Good luck!

Carter- New Low! Yay! :carrot:

Nicole- steady does win the race great job!

CutieCourt- Awesome of you to start the office challenge! Good Luck with your first 5k, they are addicting! Do you have a time goal? I love having a goal to run toward!

Vixsin- hopefully you will bounce down today! if not it's temporary hang tough!

Paradise falls- what helped me with fluid intake was to make a plan to chug 8oz before a meal. it' will help 2 fold-get in your water and help you feel fuller while eating. So with each meal you drink and with your snack you drink and I'm with you I chug at night about 12-24oz. Do you urinate clear? If so you are getting in enough and maybe the stress of upping your drinking that high is too stressful. I really only drink about 90oz if I've ran for a couple of hours, lol. I know everyone is different but sometimes the process is stressful enough than to worry about getting in 'extra' fluids. ;-)

As for me, my body is JUST starting to feel normal again- one pound of water is gone, what a toughie bounce for me! I still have some achey muscles. I took that rest day and against my own desires I calorie'd up for 2 days hoping it will help the body settle down. I'm back to normal today and may even calorie down which I try not to do but my appetite is null since I ate so much the last two days. :dizzy: I need to run today, not sure if time is going to allow. Today I'm cleaning and washing all my kids bedding, have a crap load of school work to do and my husband needs to run when he gets off from work (though truth be told, I'm on the marathon schedue, I should be the one running) he didnt tell me I couldnt run but I just know that he took yesterday off and if doesnt run for more than 2 days he gets grumpy, lol. Not only will calorie down to about 800-1000 today but I'm going to drink about 80oz today to help flush this body. Wish me luck

Hey folks - another quick check-in today, holding steady at the current low of 196 - just fine with me, I'll take it.

My partner is out of town this week - and when I am alone, the temptation to overeat is very strong ... not that my partner is ever, ever the food police, but, there is some kind of internal shame switch that stops me pigging out when she is around. ;) So the challenge for me will be to stay on plan for the rest of the week. So far, Friday and Saturday, I've managed pretty well - just stuck with my usual routine as if my partner was with me. Fingers crossed ...

I was POP yesterday, but had quite a lot of sodium. I'm blaming the massive upward swing on that. Will continue trucking on!

Bulletproof Heart I don't workout outside. I workout inside, every day, to workout videos.

Bulletproof,
When I can't go outside to exercise we use our Kinect with the My Shape game. The trainer mode on there is a serious butt kicker, it's not a namby-pamby workout, believe it or not.
I've also used the Walk Away the Pounds DVD's and done step aerobics in my living room.

Speaking of step workouts! I did a free online step workout yesterday and LOVED it! It's all basic step, nothing tricky. Here's a link: http://jennyford.com/?p=40

@Gale02

 I so feel like I should not have sold my wii to my sister now I love games yet the only thing I have is a ps2 which would be kinda weird to make fitness games for. Maybe I should see about getting some exercise dvds or finding them on youtube

Bulletproof Heart I've only done it one time, but it's my favorite basic step workout. My absolute favorite workouts are Turbo Fire! LOVE them! I have 100-150 workouts. :o :D

ETA: You can do the workout on the floor without a step. On her site, she also has a free Hi-Lo workout.

Here's a link to the Hi-Lo workout on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ri5ENTTvkHU I haven't done it yet.

I got my step aerobics set at Wal Mart for $25, I think, and it's awesome. It came with a basic step DVD by Cathe and a step with 2 additional height adjustments. When I lost 65lbs in 2007 that was my exercise of choice along with running when I could. I loved my step aerobics!

ETA: I also own a Wii and honestly haven't found the workouts to be that great. The Wii Fit board is a little too low (and small) for step aerobics, and I haven't found any of the other ones to be a good workout. I also don't like having to deal with the balance board and controllers and whatnot. The XBox Kinect works great for me, I can be in my own space and if I'm off by a foot it doesn't matter. No controllers, no board, just me working out. It's great!
