Hey guys,

I'm meeting up with friends tonight and they have decided to go to this pub. I have managed to find the menu online and would really love some help deciphering which are the lowest cal/safest options. I have approx 700 calories to 'spend' tonight http://www.gugroup.co.uk/bar-grill/pdfs/GU_Bars_Food_Menu.pdf

Thank you!

Generally speaking, anything under the salads or stacks option seem to be a safe bet. Something else that you could do is offer to share some pizza with the group. In a typical 12" pizza with 8 slices a plain cheese slice falls in the 225 - 250 calories range. If you have 2 slices of pizza and a salad with light dressing (pear & watercress or tomato & mozzarella would be good picks for a lower calorie salad) then I think that would put you within your 700 calorie range.

that veggie or chicken "stack" could be a good option. skip the bread? the pear and watercress salad looks great, with healthy fat/protein from the walnuts.
