Question what is zumba?

I keep hearing about this excersize/dance called zumba. Im not quite sure what it is......is it like a class or an excersize? I hear its really fun. Can anyone explain it to me?

It's a latin-dance workout! It includes dances like salsa, samba, calipso, etc. It's supposed to be a 3 zone system - legs, abs, and arms. Zumba is designed to work all 3 areas simultaneously, giving you a better workout. They have classes all across the world or you can exercise with the DVD. In the DVDs they break down the basic moves for you. It can be tricky at first if you feel you're not really coordinated, but if you stick with it, it gets easier! Good luck!

okay thank you! Can you get the videos at like wal mart and target? Or do u have to get them somewhere else?

I think it's only online. I got mine off of amzon and they came with toning sticks (2 pound weights that make noise like moraccas). Check ebay too!

Also check or classes in your area. The classes are WAY more fun than the videos. I would call area gyms and see if they offer it.
