South Beach Diet - help! what 2 do re: after-workout cravings???

hi ladies!

this time around on the beach i have discovered the gym and, to my great surprise, it is great fun & addictive (not to mention the benefits for my bad back!!)
here's the thang: it's become obvious that my body is not
satisfied with P1 appropriate grub, i.e. chicken&green salad afterwards. the (carb?) cravings last all day! i tried strawberries&lf yogurt, 1 tbslp PB, glass of milk etc.
would it be okay to have some wholegrain carbs after w/o
adverse effects? what is your experience? puh-leeze let me desperate!:?:

You probably need something a little more substantial and carb heavy like beans. Could you do a bean salad? Or what about some nuts and a cheese stick. I would stay away from the dairy other than cheese after you work out. It's going to go right through you and not really be satisfying. If you're on Phase 2 you can have complex carbs, but remember to eat them with some protein or fat.

Nuts definitely helped me out post workout when I crave carbs...just try and limit them :)
