Mini-Goals - I'm shocked

View Full Version : I'm shocked

I couldn't believe it when I stepped on the scale yesterday morning, it said I was at 140! I think I went back on 5 times more just to make sure it wasn't fooling me. Now this doesn't seem as WooHoo!! but for me it was huge y'all. For the past 2 weeks it seemed as though I was never gonna get past 142, I felt like I was gonna stay there for the rest of my life. I've been consistent with my calorie counting...well I think I messed up twice. :o But anyways, it just felt like I was stuck and I just figured I'd better be happy with that weight cause maybe that's where my body felt comfortable at.
I've never been this close to my goal weight (130) since I gained it all, back in 2002. The closest I ever got was 146. Before conceiving this last time I was down to 141, I felt so defeated when I got pregnant and made it my goal to not gain as I did with my other pregnancies (60 lbs each but this last pregnancy only 40 lbs). It was the first time getting that close to the 130's.
So now my baby is 6 months and I now weight 140! I'm so excited, for the first time my goal weight seems so close...It almost feels like it's not even real. I jumped back on the scale this morning and I lost another .5 lbs. I'm wearing pants I couldn't wear when I was 141 last year.
I just wanna thank everyone here on 3FC, I mean every one too. All the stories you all share. I know this is a life long journey that won't be fixed once we hit that goal number. I know I'll be counting calories from now on.
We can do this y'all, don't give up. :carrot:

I'm VERY happy for you! When the scale stays the same for awhile it's so discouraging. I'm looking forward to seeing that number in about 8 weeks (or less, if I ramp up the exercise).
