NINE YEARS AGO TODAY i was rolled down the hallway into the operating room, saying 'I want to go to Paris. I want to go to Milan.' still haven't gotten there.

and, as I write this, it's just about TO THE MINUTE that i got out of surgery [after 90 minutes] and into the recovery room.

a lot has happened. and even though i've regained some weight, i'm finally losing again - slowly slowly slowly. and that's just fine with me. I'm healthy, busy, and moving.

nine years. wow.

Well I went to see a plastic surgeon who was sure he could get me aproved for a tummy tuck cause I was having rashes in my belly button but the insurance rejected it. So I ask my husband if I could either get my tummy or my boobs done and guess which one he picked. I felt I deserved something after losing all that weight.
But since I've been maintaining without working out alot, I thought if I start back journaling my food and focus on core exercises maybe I might be able to make some differece in that area.
But because of my weightloss I'm going back to school to become a laser tech and they have come along way with the things they can do with lasers,so what I can't fix with diet and exercise maybe I can tweek with a laser.
I'm so glad you love doing this cause you're the best!

MWA! back atcha :)

Jiffy..you are the best and I love your posts.....You just celebrated your 9th year out...congratulations! I just celebrated my 4th year out on 2/12. I almost forgot as it was 10:30 pm before I remembered. It is all such a natural part of my life now that it is not as significant that I remember it all the time. I got down to 143, but have gained about 10-15 back, which is ok and good cause 143 was too low BELOW my weight range for my height and everyone said I looked sick. I do want to get back to about 150 tho, so I am working on that. About 13 lbs to go...and I know I can do this. ANY WAY Happy RE-Birthday....

congrats, annie!!!! it DOES go fast, doesn't it? i still remember how hard those first few months were, but i knew they'd pass and everything would be OK.

good for you for catching the weight gain early. until the disastrous last couple of years, i was able to do that, too. and it always amazed me that the same little tweaks that helped NORMAL people finally worked for me as well!
