I do not know about PCOS but I do strenght training combined with cardio. Cardio burns a little calories and strenght training tone the body. You build muscles that weight more than fat but are more compact therefore you loose inches. Also when loosing weight there is the issue of flabby skin and it looks better with muscle under. Two persons that loose 40 pounds each, one with and the other without strenght training and you will see a difference, one Will be smaller. It is a win win situation beside it is fun to do.
