Default Supportless

Why is it so hard just to find someone to support me? Ehh I wish I had someone who was trying to lose weight the same as me call me in the morning to make sure I was up and going someone to keep me in check and I'd love to help them as much. To good to be true huh? I feel like I could do a lot better that way I guess that's why loosing weight isn't easy! No one around me is supportive even my husband. =( he's not against me loosing weight just don't get it I can't just have a coke or candy like he does whenever.. Ohh how I wish I had a twin lol

I'm with ya on that. I was talking to my mom about what i wanted to do to lose weight and she said I shouldn't cut myself down too much or my body will go in starvation mode and my metabolism will slow down... instead of 1500-1650 maybe 2400 since you ARE over 300 pounds and you don't want to starve yourself... I'm like... omg mom, I've been researching this, looking at what other people my age and weight have been doing and this is it.

As for the i wish I had a twin, I'm with ya on that too. I'm hoping since I have more people this time around me maybe that will be a bit more help. Just need to find a buddy that can motivate you I guess...

While we're on that subject... where about in the world do you live?

Funny, you're actually around where I want to be as far as weight... then again I'm built like a football player.

Ah ok. I'm in Oregon.

Well you should be able to find plenty of support here. i know we don't go up to your bed, blowing a whistle and telling you to drop and give us 20 but hey... We're here for ya. Even if I'm just beginning my quest... again.

Yea that can happen. I don't see a private message option anywhere on this site... I was wondering if you'd like to chat over yahoo.

i think many of us are in a situation where we don't have someone like that... and besides, no matter how supportive your SO's are, losing weight is an individual battle! if you feel like you are wavering though, you can always come on here cuz we'll always support you.

i mean, i live by myself, halfway around the world from any family, i really don't have anyone to support my weight loss. we're all on our own.

chin up!

Consider 3FC your support group...there are dozens of accountability threads everywhere and it does make you want to try when you see people who are losing 5 lbs every two weeks and sticking flawlessly to plan.

I'm sorry you are having trouble finding a support circle. It's hard to get something done when you feel like no one believes. I do though! I definitely think you can do this! We can't be there with you all the time but I can guarantee lots of people from 3FC are rooting for you!

I know what you mean. I had my oldest and gained like 40 pounds. 10 months later, I found I was pregnant with my youngest, so there wasn't much time to lose the weight between. Plus, I had that high blood pressure with my youngest and was on bed rest for a few months.

They were worth all the craziness, but time to drop this weight!
