Yes, this is the worst time of year for healthy eating, but the Holidays are such a special time to spend with family and friends..
So my suggestion, we should all add tips here to try and stay on track through the holidays (hey being on track could mean just trying to maintain or not gain more than 1-2lbs).
Some of mine
-Take a break and walk outside on xmas day/thanksgiving
-Keep portion sizes normal..
-Don't deprive, but the second slice of cake doesn't taste better than the first (this one if for me;))
-Eat well on days you don't have family over or functions to attend
- The words no thanks aren't a four-letter word!!
-Wear tighter stuff when you go out (it does help!!)
- make some healthier treats (but again don't deprive)
-help clean the kitchen
-buy altoids/mints (hey they're yummy and they will kill cravings for a while)
Anyhoo, feel free to add or even ask questions on how to deal with certain situations... Remember the tool "Mental Rehearsing"
Take Care!
