Depression and Weight Issues - Thankful for ?

I saw this on another forum and I thought it would be good for us to think about what we are thankful for this Thanksgiving.


I am thankful for:

Every blessing I have from the Lord
The Peace that passing all understanding
Having a job
Having a nice place to live
Having food to eat
Living in a country where we are free
3FC and the wonderful friends I have made here
Being healthy
Having a loving kittycat at home ( even when she shreds the carpet)
I am even thnakful for the emotional ups and downs in life, because that means I am living. :)

I'll add to this list as I think of them.

My wonderful hubby!
My great family
A great job
A beautiful house
My pets (Sparticus, Hera, Echo and the fish) When they are all being good
I am also VERY thankful for this site and the threads. Everyone here makes my day complete.

Thankful for...
This web site and forum! There's so much community here.
I'm thankful my lovely family (even though I probably won't be saying that on Thanksgiving) and the fact that we can all get together this year.
Oh--I'm also thankful for the fact that I'm 20 lbs lighter than I was last year, but oddly, that isn't the most important. It's still nice though.

I am not as thankful as I should be for I am very lucky to be me....nice to take the time to think about it..
1. My husband who loves me and truly lives each day thinking of me first.

2. My children who continue to love me even though I am not always lovable.

3. My health...I see sick bedridden people often and don't thank God enough for my well being

4. My job...I love being a nurse and I get paid so well for doing something I truly enjoy.

5. My friends and family who show me how they love me in so many ways big and small

6. Living in Canada...home of the true north strong and free

7. My faith...which gives me the guidelines I need often to push ahead.

8. My son who died 6 1/2 years ago at the age of 2 1/2...who showed me what courage, strength and true love were all about

9. My friends here at 3fc who have been with me through the good the bad and the ugly...I am so thankful for your genuine support and caring :grouphug:

I am thankful for:

My wonderful family: Husband, four grown educated children, two dil's and two of the most beautiful healthy grandchildren:smug:

My wonderful, loving mother and siblings

My health, my warm cozy home, the food on my table (too much of it :lol: )

Living in America/New England ... my education

My freedom to worship where ever I want

My computer...allowing me to be with all of you...Thanks!

My treadmill

My new attitude about life and getting healthy...I am no longer beating myself up for being fat...instead I am doing something about it.

My spandex underwear and my Victoria Secret bras!! (they keep things were they are suppose to be):lol:

Oh and shopping....let's not forget shopping!!!!

I'm thankful that I wake up every morning and I still know who I am and where I am!

I am thankful for:

Chris and Dad

Having a home that keeps me warm/cool (though it does look like a storage shed right now what with all the boxes)

My health (I could have been dead by now) and the health of Chris and Dad

My new little grandnephew

My niece who considers me her mother

Knowing that there is a Heaven and a God and that my precious Mother is there

That the bill collectors have quit hounding me so much :lol:

My pastor and my church who've been there for me

God who still loves me in spite of who I am and what I do

All of my computer friends...w/o you I'd have become a basket case

My fat which will keep me warmer this winter :lol:
