Default Phase 1 Done. Still having cravings?

I've almost (one more day) completed phase 1 and I've been eating completely on plan, problem is for the past couple days I've been having some crazy cravings for carbs (bread and cake specifically, I've been making sure to double check labels for hidden sugar...so far nothing o.o). I've read the book and by all standards I'm not insanely overweight, but I am in the higher end of obese.

Would it be horrible of me to do one more week to really kick these cravings in the butt? I've read you can do up to a month, and to be honest I don't really even care if the weight loss continues at this rate, I just want to not want to kill someone for a piece of bread :P

Are you sure the cravings are physical? I only ask because I can't pass a bakery without feeling an overwhelming NEED for a doughnut. So, it feels like a real craving, but it's just the desire for comfort food. (I just started Phase II on Monday, and it's been a BAD week emotionally).

That being said, if you feel like you are still going through withdrawal, I don't think an extra week is going to hurt you on Phase I.

I'd do another week but be absolutely sure it's "pure." Try avoiding any artificial sweeteners.

Hang in There! Don't give in to the temptation. Mostly our cravings are in our heads. How often do we actually feel true hunger?

I'd do this too.

Thank you everyone. I'll get rid of the artificial sweetners, as since seeing that post I've been reading and can't believe all the negative "sugar like" issues it can have with insulin ect.

I decided after debating it, that I won't buy anything not phase one from the grocery store this evening, and continue with what I've been doing for another week (I mean, it can't be too hard to continue on :P).
