I couldn't believe I sort of liked this dress when I put it on this morning. I'm just really worried it's too young! And short!

What do you think? :^:

Oh, and see my shelves! LOL! I took down all of Christmas and have just been loving my empty shelves! I hate clutter with a passion and love empty space. But I think I really need to put something on them at this point. :D

I think you look great! Wear it! I don't think it's too young for 36 at all, it fits you well, and I think its a great color for you.

It is awesome on you and you should definitely wear it. You look great in it and I don't think it is too young or too short for you.

IMO the dress looks fantastic :) General suggestion though - if you're ever wearing a dress that feels short to you (and I'm totally not saying that the dress in the picture is short), make sure you wear flats instead of heels. I once bought a dress that felt a touch short, but reasonable, in the dressing room. I wore it out one day slipping on heels before leaving the house, and I spent the entire day feeling self conscious  Not quite sure why heels make a dress feel even shorter, but it sure seems to happen to me :D

When did 36 get too old for anything? That's how old I am. Rock that dress, girl! Looks great!

That my dear is neither too young nor too short on you. 36 is still young. Rock it with some boots (not ankle)!

OMG...this was the very first thing I noticed...the empty shelves. LOL :D

Cute dress, and actually that fabric reminds me of material my Grandmother used to wear. Retro...so not too young in my opinion.

If you re self-conscious about the length, you could wear some brown tights. (I think the dress is brown, right?) And I agree with spixiet that flats make a short skirt seem fun and cute, while heels make it seem vampy, sexy. Pick accordingly! :D

I love this place! I did end up wearing it and I think it's too short! LOL! I was tugging at it the whole time. It creeps up when I walk.

I think I may try leggings? I don't know. It might not work.

I've never in my life worn anything like this, so it was fun.

Gotta go fill those shelves. ;)

Haha. I think it looks great on you! But I understand feeling it's too short. I am only 22 and I got a sweater dress and I don't feel comfortable wearing it without tights because I think it's way to short! But if I wear tights with it than it sort of holds the dress in place so that might help you :) I think it's just a personal comfort thing more than age thing, but the dress does look great!

DD23 and I think you look great. And 36 is not young. We think tights with boots and maybe a belt would be fun.

I love it and you look great! I am loving wearing dresses now, I was never a person who wore dresses before (I didn't like them, yeah right) - anyways it's such a treat to wear one now!

Love! What a pretty print, and you look slammin...very flattering, and not too young at all.

I agree with the ladies who said you may want to try some tights and boots till you get comfortable with the length. (I don't think it's too short at all, but I can understand making that transition if you usually wear things that are longer.) Some chocolate tights and brown boots with that? Super cute.

Oh, and add me to the long list of people who envy the cleanliness of your shelves!

Eliana , 36 is NOT old! Geez, girl your still plenty young! I like the dress and think it looks good on you! You could always wear it with some color coordinating leggings to make you feel more comfortable. I would so wear this with leggings and some cute boots and feel good about it. You totally can wear this dress and look fabulous !

You look great!! It doesn't look too short, but I can understand that it may feel too short. I'd say try tights or leggings at first, and maybe you'll get comfortable enough in it that you'll go bare-legged!

That dress for a 36-year-old? Heck yeah, that dress for a 36-year-old!

If I'm lucky enough to have legs like yours when I lose the weight, you'd better believe I'll show them--and I've got five years on you. :) That dress is adorable and you look fantastic in it; wear it with confidence!

:D Thanks! I plan to update that in just a few more pounds! I'm not quite there. I'm still overweight, which drives me nuts, even though it's just a number.

You don't know how much that means to me!! My legs got huge with the weight and they have been the last to shape up. They're still pretty big above the knee. I don't think I'll ever have space between them like some women do. But just lately I've been very happy with that which everyone sees all the time in skirts and shorts. I'm not complaining. :D

I'd add brown tights, and a blue cami underneath.

Cute dress though.

I'm 37 and I wear dresses that short and shorter all the time. In fact, at 5' 3 1/2" I seek out dresses like that. I think petite women look better in short dresses. I try to stay above the knee.

Age is but a number. You look fantastic in that dress. Wear what makes you feel good.

I'm 46 and I agree with Petite Powerhouse....shorter women look better in short dresses....I stay way above the knee.
