I use FitDay but not as regularly as I should.
I had a naughty weekend...with FOOD....(watch those dirty minds :o )
I can't even begin to tell you all I ate but do the words chocolate chips, white bread and mashed potatoes ring any bells?
Anyhow, back on track this morning and I'm going to try to make an effort to go lighter on fats. (But that's what makes Atkins so appealing...whine, snivel).
I tried a breakfast recipe I found on the Atkins Friends website. It's called Sweet Induction Breakfast and it's just a couple of eggs beaten, sweeten with 1 packet of sweetener and a dash of salt. Pour into a pan with 1/2 tbsp melted butter and let it just spread out in pan until cooked through. Do not stir. In a small bowl, mix 2 tbsp cream cheese, 1 tsp cream, 1/2 tsp vanilla, packet of sweetener and a shake of cinnamon (opt). Spread this over the crepe and roll it up to eat. I put a few frozen blueberries in there but not really necessary. Very nice and would make a good snack too.
I haven't had lunch yet but it will be chicken breast and chicken.
Dinner will be pork chops and mock mashed potatoes (cauliflower)

yippee, I have maintained at 147. I was worried I had gained. So I'm working within my goal. Food today will be:
Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs and 2 sausage links
Lunch: turkey meatloaf and zuccini "spagetti"
Dinner: planned cheat: pizza made with (thin crust, if available) Boboli with fresh mozzarella, pesto sauce and tomatoes; salad and wine
I'll probably have a snack in there somewhere, but I am out of the bars and determined not to buy any more!! Hope everyone's having a good day.
Robin, are you back in ketosis? Did you ever figure out what that was all about?

Good Morning all
Hi Tilly, Great job on maintaining!! I havent checked if I have been in ketosis for a few days. Ive been unbearably hungry for about a week, Ive stayed op (pretty much) but upped my calorie intake for a bit. So, Im staying off the scale and keeping the sticks in the drawer for another week or 3. Ive gone off the bc pill and it has sent everything into a tizzy, once I come out of this, Im hoping that everything will straighten out again. Im not weighing again until the 17th of dec. (my trip to northern ontario)
Yesterday didnt go so well.........ate alot of peanuts to curb the hunger......they were only 6 grams of carbs per 1/4 cup....I ate 1/4 of the jar. But hey, I was finally full !!
Ok, today's plan
WATER!! I havent been drinking enough of it
WALKING!! I havent been out in 2 days (been shopping)
breakfast, scrambled egg with taco spices
lunch, ham roll ups with mozza in the middle
supper, chicken breast and caesar salad
snack...peanuts, but just 1/4 cup! (dry roasted)
Have a good day everyone!

Robin,
I'd think the bc pills might have something to do with it. It might take a while for your body to get back into it's own alignment and that might be affecting your hunger? Anyway, keep on truckin!
Ummm, nuts - I went through an almond phase last week. There is something sooo satisfying about nuts. Dr. Atkins even says macadamia nuts are the best, but I prefer the almonds. They are good for a snack or when you just want a little finger food.
I also wanted to ask you about the ecxema - has that abated?

Hi Tilly,
I started the peanuts because the atkins bars were too good, and too easy. I think the splenda and sugar alcohols still do a number on me. So its best for me to stay away from them.
Strangely Im allergic to any other kind of nut...peanuts are about it for me, and coconut if its overly processed and covered in sugar lol. I have to watch the peanuts, they can be very satisfying, but very habit forming. I thought it best to leave the jar at work, that way I wont be tempted to snack at night, when Im not really hungry.
As for the eczema it got alot worse before it got any better. The one week I think I had lost 4.5 lbs, and several inches, I also lost alot of skin. Seems the more weight I loose the worse it gets. When I go for my walks, and I sweat I can feel it burning my skin.....it wasnt good. 2-3 showers a day to wash off what surfaced to the skin. Anyway, I called my doc and had him order a cream for me ( i couldnt get in to see him) and within 2 days, my skin started to heal. I have scars in areas where it was really bad, I can only hope that they will fade too. If I keep them moisturized, they are fine, otherwise they wrinkle and itch. Its funny, Ive had this since I was a little kid......and when I was a kid was when it was its worse. But I dont remember it every being this bad before. As long as the cream keeps working, Im ok. Otherwise, the doc said it would be oral steriods....which he knows I refuse to ever take again.
As for the bc pill, thats what I had suspected was happening to me......and since I really dont need it anymore. Its gone :)
Thats about it.....hope all is well with you

Boy, I'm paying for my carb blow out last night (the Boboli pizza and I added in some baked Lays:o ). I'm all swollen today and bloated! I'd be interested to hear from other people how they felt after a stray from LC eating.
Not sure what I'm going to eat today, don't have much appetite to tell you the truth. I'll post more later.
Updated:
Breakfast: 2 oz. peanuts
Lunch: turkey meatloaf w/ zuccini
Dinner: not sure yet. I want something yummy though. Maybe I'll make buffalo wings!!!

ok, here is the plan.........wish me luck lol
Breakfast...got up wayyyy too late :)
Lunch...caesar salad with chicken and bacon..was very tastey
Supper...TURKEY!! little wee bit of potatoes, green bean casserole, little wee bit of gravy(depending on how dry the turkey is) and I havent a clue what is for pre-dinner. So, anything with a crust I will leave alone(picture me with my hand on my heart, and the other in the air....swearing to be good) no, pie or icecream (I'll be good ........honest)
Enjoy your day !
