Good Morning to EVERYONE!!!!!!

I don't have much time to write this morning but just had to come say HELLO  I didn't do so good yesterday. I stayed OP all day. I went to bed and woke up a few hours later and got up and wondered to the kitchen. And the next thing I knew I had a brownie in my mouth before I even thought about what I was doing. I can't believe I did that. Did I spit it out. NO! I swallowed it. I should have washed my mouth out with :soap: I bet I would remember next time. Don't you think?

HEY SAMI!!!!!! Good to see you again.

Will check back in later. I have to get ready to go to school.

HI LADIES- How is everyone today? It is very hot here in southern California-- in my area it is in the high 80's, and I am on the coast! Just got home from picking my nephew up at school-- today is his chore day. When he gave me all that trouble in his cross-country sport and I had to pull him out for the good of the rest of the kids I made Thursday afternoon his "TRAINING" he is out sweeping up the leaves from the pomogranate tree-- millions of 'um. When he is done with that I will give him the rest of the afternoon off to play. I messed up last night and teased him into a cry-- the little goofball colored in his fingers with pencil and I told him he could die if he got lead poisoning-- I kept teasing him telling him he should call his Grandama, sister, etc. just in case-- anyhow I blew it and went toooo far-- I apologized and explained to him that if it really was happening (and I know pencils are graphite now) I sure would have his little butt in the hospital-- he agreed he over reacted too-- still learning to parent even at my age!!!
SUE Don't you just hate losing those posts!!! Me too-- Wilma tried to help me once on that but I don't understand this computer that much. Thanks for the ideas on church social events-we used to have a pizza/bowling night twice a year 10-15 years ago-- we would get 50 people or more-- now sometimes NOBODY signs up. The Sunday night dinners sounds like a good idea-- I will present that to my board. The poem was awesome-- thanks for the effort to help spread the GOOD--GREAT News!!!:)

SHERRY It is easy drinking the water here right now-- as I said it is in the hi 80's to low 90's. I am ready for a 5K-- my wife and I do them from time to time-- we love to spend the morning doing that if we can. You don't know but some of the others do know that we did a marathon-26.2 miles a few years ago-- we have been walking/jogging for 5+ years together--- We started when I quit smoking!!!!:cb: My wife has always tried to stay in shape-- not me until then-- now I have my good/bad days as fasr as exercise goes-- her bad days are when she only walks a few miles and doesn't lift weights--providing she is hurting in her back or knees.
WILMA -I hope your interview at the bank was a success! If it wasn't then the good Lord has BETTER plans for you. Have fun house hunting this week-- maybe they will drop even more for you and hubby.
ZOE I am sooo glad you enjoyed your program-- It is so sad that people just don't get the message of salvation but they are all for love, world peace, etc. Through Jesus all this is possible-- if they only understood-- but then we never have and never will as a human race-- how sad.
CONGRATULATIONS GIRL on the healthy eating effort-- small steps will add up in time. Keep pushing away those nasty negative thoughts!!!! along with those sugary items-- the new HABITS/HEALTHY HABITS will become your everyday life soon!!! If you stick with it for just a few short weeks you will crave healthy foods over the junk-- I PROMISE-- if not I will OWE you big time!!
Well I have fajitas in the crockpot ready to be eatin'
TAKE TIME FOR PRAYER-Gary loves you and so does our LORD!!!

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well and feeling the love of the Lord! I have had a great week and have been eating healthy and feeling much more energetic and alert. I have gotten more accomplished this week than I have in a long time. I continue to struggle with negative thinking and insecurities and I am finding that I need to focus on the blessing the Lord has given me rather then focus on everything that isn't right. But those thoughts try to interject at times and I have to push them away but it's difficult. I have refrained from regular soda and sugary items this week and am very proud of myself. I know this is a necessary change for myself and my family. Well, gotta run....hope you all have a wonderful day. God bless you.

Good Friday morning everyone ~

I for one, am SO happy that it's Friday. This was a long week and yesterday, well, it was the longest day I've had in quite awhile. I mean, I promise you, it was 2:45pm for 3 hours!!!!

The Rockettes show was wonderful. I don't seem to understand that newspaper article but then, he has to be an athiest. Oh well, we can only pray for him.

Gary ~ we never stop learning how to parent. We teach our children so much throughout their lives but you know, it seems at some point, they start teaching us some things too. :)

Sherry ~ hang in there girl. Throw those brownies away!

Wilma ~ let us hear from you and that interview. Prayers for it came your way. But Gary is right, if this doesn't come to be, then God has something better in mind. How can you get the BEST if you're somewhere else? :)

Hi there Sue, Tara and Sami ~ hope y'all are having a good week too.

Gotta run....the office calls....have a blessed Friday.

In Christ's Love,

Sorry I wasn't more help E.Z.with the church social thing. I'm baptist, and we are notorious for liking food. So, that provides most of the social setting around church. We also did a summer camp with the kids and some of the families to abible camp and that was fun. We took the kids out to the western part of the state on a small mission's trip where they did a program in some other churches and that was fun. I'm sure your doing fine parenting again, your nephew has already made some positive changes and at least he knows you care.
Mrs. Hummer don't beat yourself up over the brownie, just get back on track. You'll get there.
Wilmsa pray your interview goes great, but I agree with the others. if this is the job, He wants ya to have you'll get it. If not He will give you an opportunity to do something else. Relax and enjoy! Tara your doing good keep it up! Zoe here ids another poem for ya hope ya like it! It is called When I say I am a Christian. Before I start it though I should go toanother post see ya in a minute!!:dizzy:

When I say I am a Christian

When I say... "I am a Christian", I'm not shouting "I am saved"
I am whispering "Iam lost" that is why I chose this way.
When I say..."I am a Christian", I don't speak of this with pride.
I am confessing I stumble and am in need of a guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian", I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing I am weak and pray for strength to go on.
When I say that "I am a Christian", I'm not bragging of sucess.
I'm admitting I have failed and can never pay the debt
When I say" I am a Christian",I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are too visible but God believes I'm worth it.
When I say "I am a Christian", I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches which is why I seek his name.
When I say "I am a Christian", I do not wish to judge.
I have no authority I only know I'm loved.

I liked this and thought you sall might enjoy it too! Have a great day! See ya! Love me

11-22-2002, 09:02 PM
HI EVERYONE - SUE, so baptists like food too huh, I am a Lutheran and back in the old days I guess you couldn't do anything without taking a "hot dish" Of course I am "CALIFORNIAN" Lutheran so things are a little different than the mid-west. Another joke was "what do you always find when you have 4 Lutherans?" answer-- A 5th. I guess they could really put away the booze. I will say at our church 10-20 years ago that was true, however, this year at our Oktoberfest we sold 8 beers total!! Years ago we would put away 2 kegs easy-- I was a big help:lol:
Well gotta jam--I have a friend coming by to discuss his marraige problems with me, he needs some guidance-- he is not a "practicing"-- Christian, his wife is against religion. Needing prayer here ladies.

11-25-2002, 09:02 AM
Good Morning Everyone!!!!

How is everyone this brrrrrr cold morning? Well it was 73 degrees here yesterday and they say it won't make it to 45 today and the winds are gusting. IIIIIIIIIIII'mmmmmmmm in shock!!!!! :yikes: Hope everyone had a good weekend. I did but didn't get anything constructive done. It's called laziness. But it's so hard on me working 25-35 hours a week and going to college 10 hours a week. Plus studying (I'm taking Anatomy & physiology) and being wife, mom, housekeeper, etc....whew!!!!!
I also saw 9 patients this weekend. So, I guess I wasn't totally lazy maybe just tired.

GARY~ Yes, yes, yes Baptists do like to eat!!!! How do you think I got this big? :D Congratulations for quiting smoking!!!!! :bravo: And now all this walking!!! You are Awesome!!!! Prayers are with your friend, too. I hope someday I can do a 5K walk. Somedays now I'm lucky to make it 5 blocks!!!

SUE~ I'm a Baptist too, and yes we do like food. And boy, are there some good cooks at our church. YUM! Thanks for I am a Christian.

ZOE~ Girlfriend, are you cold yet? BBRRRR I am. I'm glad you enjoyed the Rockettes. A night out would be just what the Dr ordered.

SAMI~ Good to "see" you here, even if it was ever so briefly. Take care of yourself and know that we miss you!!!

TARA~ Where are you my new friend? We miss you!

Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!!! Gotta go, wish me luck drinking that water today. BRRRR! :dizzy:

11-25-2002, 12:55 PM
i made it home safely last night and was too tired to post. It was a wonderful weekend and a successful one too.

We bought a house!!!!!! It's newer than we thought we could afford and in a nice area. I call it our miracle house because there was so much activity on it that it's a miracle we got it. Praise God! It's because of him we got it.

My job interview went well and I think I might get the job. I'll know on Friday. Please keep praying about that. You are all right that if I don't get this one there'll be a better one waiting for me.

Thank you all for your prayers for me. I told DH on the weekend that I have people praying for me from all over the US and Canada and it's so cool that we can do this for each other.

My weight stayed the same this week which is another miracle because DH/s aunt doesn't believe in veggies or salads without something fattening on them.

Well, gotta go. I'll talk to each of you personally later.

Lots of love to all of you!

Hi Everyone-- Had a pretty good week-end. Saturday morning went to see the high school team my son coaches in their race for the county championships in cross country. They lost by 1 point but it still qualified them for the state race the day after Thanksgiving. Then we went to see my daughter's tennis match-- she won 1 and lost 1 match so that was pretty good. Sunday after church we saw my step-D lose a 1-0 soccer match in her final for the season (regular league) then saw my son win his semi-final match in his soccer game that night-- I thought his season was over last week but I guess each night has their own play-offs then those winners play each other-- it just never ends!!But then I really don't want it to.
I will catch up in the a.m.-- son needs this computer for homework!!!
Love ya-Gary

Hope this finds you all well, and pray your feeling much better soon sami! I got ya something:balloons: :grouphug: that should help a little bit. That is so fustrating loosing a long post, and starting over.
Pastor had his surgery. His back is very sore they took salot of muscle tissue, but he didn't need a skin graft. He is suppose to be released tom. He couldn't tolerate lying on his back, so he coulod get the radiation on his leg. He will start radiation next Monday. He has to have 15 radiation treatments then he had to wait 10 days. He then wilol start a new protoccal. which is a test subject at dartmouth. He will recieve a serum back i.v. that was made out of his tumor they removed on monday. This is the last type of treatment he is able to recieve so I just pray this one works. I will keep you posted. (I relize its the Lord that has the power to intercede if He so chooses.)
So mrs. Hummer a baptist, we do love to eat, your doing good though!. Congrats wilma finding a house and pray you recieve the job as well. E.Z. - glad Baptists aren't the only ones who eat well, we are notorious for it though. Pray sall goes well with your friends situation. Hi zo, tara, and everyone else. Gotta run, !!

11-26-2002, 11:38 PM
[B]Happy Thanksgiving ( to all my U.S. friends anyway )I just lost a long post-- after telling SAMI that SUE and I just split them up now so that we don't lose anymore:lol:
So good to hear from you Sami-- I will continue prayers for your health!!! Please continue letting us know so we can help you with our prayers-- God doesn't need our help but it makes us feel better to pray for you!!
SUE- it must be so painful for your Pastor-- God can intervene (He already is) I hope it is for the outcome we are all looking for. On one hand it is so comforting knowing He is in control-- and in the other-- we are only human with human emotions wondering why all the time.
Requested and received grades and progress reports on the nephew today-- he is doing so much better!! The teachers all said he was well behaved--HOWEVER-- he likes to visit with his neighbors too much. His grades are 1A, 4B's and a C-. I can accept that!!! He got to pick out 3 videos for his reward to watch this evening.
Well I will catch up with you tomorrow-- wife and I are going to plan our strategy for our race on Thursday (or something like that ;) Anyway--OFF to bed. In HIS LOVE-Gary:)

11-27-2002, 01:36 PM
Hello All- Gosh I feel so lonely here. Just got back from a 3.2 warm-up walk with my wife. Should be ready to go in the race tomorrow at a fast snails pace!!! We will be going up to the area today to pick-up our tee shirts and goodie bags so we won't have to carry it after the race. Then we are going to get hot on desserts for our church service tonight, mash up 40lbs of potatoes for our dinner tomorrow at my mom's, whip up some pumpkin pies, etc. Should be a fun day off. I even went to Starbucks already. Well off to church to get some bible studies copied while my wife goes to the dr. for her check-up. I will check in later--THERE WILL BE SOMETHING FOR ME TO READ--IF YOU KNOW WHAT IS GOOD FOR YOU--HAHAHAHAHA-kiddin'-Gary

11-27-2002, 07:15 PM
Hope Everyone Has a WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!

How is everyone this eve before Thanksgiving??? I worked half a day and have been cooking all afternoon. Just took a break to come check in. Gary looks like you have been pretty lonely here. Sorry I haven't checked in more often. I have been really busy. But the next few days things should slow down. Thank goodness!

WILMA~ Glad to have you back. CONGRATULATIONS on the house!!!!! We knew you would find just the right one! Praying about the job situation.

GARY~ Wow, good thing you like sports with your weekend. Ha Ha. Good luck with your walk/race tomorrow!!!! 40lbs of potatoes?!? Wow, my hands would go to sleep peeling all of them. LOL

Sami~ I used to post and lose them too. I guess your posts and mine are out there in cyberland somewhere and now Gary's too. LOL Praying for you and a good outcome. Hang in there, and keep looking UP!!!!

SUE~ Continuing to pray for your pastor.

ZOE~ Where are you my friend?? Miss you!!!

I hope God blesses each and every one of you in a very SPECIAL way this Thanksgiving!!!! We ALL have SO much to be THANKFUL for!!!!!

11-28-2002, 12:38 AM
Hello all.....(I'm here Sherry....:)...)

Just wanted to say, have a very blessed and Happy Thanksgiving. I have so much to be thankful for as I know you all do. Let's just thank God for the small stuff, those "stupid" blessings......you know, the ones we tend to forget and not thank Him for.....just the fact that we wake up each morning. That we get to work safely, and yes, even when we get into the faster line at the bank.

Happy Thanksgiving Day!!!

11-28-2002, 08:03 AM
Hi to all of you! Hope you hsave a blessed day!. I have to make this quick as am off to work, yahoo!
Gary- Hope all goes well with your race today sounds like fun Here is some extra energy, just don't eat to much you 'll get an upset ummy! :jeno: :jeno: :jeno: :chockiss: you know me couldn't leave the chocalate out. Thanks for all the support with pastor, I know God is in control, and He is so good, but its nice to hear, congrats on turning your nephews life around, He got great marks! Hi there Mrs. Hummer! thanks for all your prayers too, I so appreciate it! I pray God Shines on you today! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Zoe- unfortunsately we often take God for granted and turn more to him in times of trouble, and that isn't a good thing. It is wonderful that He understand we are simple and loves us anyway! You have a great day! Sami- Been there done that (as Gary says) with the postings it isn't fun pray the Lord lifts you up and heals you! it is awful to have problems with your stomach in general, but even worse around the holidays, so much of which is c entered around food. God bless, your in my prayers! Happy thanksgiving all! Hi to everyone else.

11-28-2002, 04:25 PM
Hi everyone! Just a quick post to let you know that I haven't forgotten any of you. I really appreciate your prayers!! Things are going really well with the house purchase. We still don't know when we can move in but that's okay. I'll try to be patient. I find out by tomorrow whether I have the job or not. I had myself all prepared for rejection and then the boss left a message on my phone last night saying I had been short listed and that he would call by Friday. Now, I'm nervous and trying not to get my hopes up.

DH got home last night. It's so nice to have him home for a while. Because you my friends in the USA have your Thanksgiving my DH gets a long weekend. He drives truck into the US and because everyone has things shut down he can't drive down there. So even I have something to be thankful for on your Thanksgiving day.

I want to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving. We should be thankful everyday but it's nice to have a holiday to celebrate God's goodness to us.

have a wonderful day!

11-28-2002, 11:26 PM
I have finished my usual Thanksgiving MEGA meal for at least two people!!! I was able to work off some of the calories this morning in our walk/race. The race went pretty well, it was a 3.2 mile one, my son ran it in under 20 minutes (pretty good for him since he is coaching now and not training) my daughter and I walked it in 45 minutes (about average for us) my wife had to pull out after 2 miles because her hamstring muscle got tight and she didn't want to force it. All in all it was good but the times for us were off--it was really crowded in the race, there was 7,000 entries which isn't that large compared to some of our races, however, the course didn't have much room so we kept running into people and STROLLERS. We have alot of runners here that push their kids in strollers, no problem here, except they really need to be in a separate race-- we were in their way just as much as them in ours.
The weather was great, we were only 3/4 of an hour from home so we were back in plenty of time to have turkey with my family at my mom's.
Church last night was cool and everyone raved about the pumpkin pie I re-heated for the dessert--you know-- the one Mrs. Smith made:lol:
WELL,WILMA, ZOE, SUE, SHERRY, and SAMI May your week-end be blessed along with the up-coming holiday season.

11-29-2002, 07:29 AM
Glad to hear the race went well, EZ. Mrs. Smith sometimes bakes pies for me too! We must know the same lady. She is a great cook, and saves so much time.
Wilma glad to hear everything is going well, you let us know when you hear from your job, I'm praying all works out well.
Hi to everyone else. I am off to work, happy shopping if anyone is starting early. Have a great day!

11-29-2002, 04:50 PM
Happy Friday to ALL!!!!!

Hope everyone is doing well. Hope everyone had a GREAT Thanksgiving!!! :cheese::cookie::burger: No matter what you ate, I hope it was good and you were thankful!!!!! I know I was, but I managed to do really good. I ate a little of everything but only a LITTLE! :D

Looks like everyone is out busily shopping? Walking? :dancer:? Whatever you are doing, I hope you have a good day!!!

Talk atcha later!

11-30-2002, 06:20 PM
Hi All- Glad to see Sherry and Sue out there doing well-- how 'bout the rest of you? Just got back from my step-D's soccer tournament over the last 2 days, she won 1, tied 1, and lost 1. They only scored 1 goal though so they are finished-- no play on Sunday (sad for her but glad for wife and I-- with church, etc tomorrow it would make for a really busy day which we have had for 4 days now. There has been alot of rain here in the last 2 days -- the first soccer game was postponed for 2 hours-- of course they didn't tell us in advance and since we are 2 hours away from home we weren't about to go back so the wife and I got in an extra 3 mile walk we hadn't scheduled.
Got to visit with my daughter this week-end a little-- her and that boyfriend had dinner with us last night-- they will head back to school tomorrow. Our son is 10 hours away at the state cross-country races so we won't see him until tomorrow.
Well gotta run to home depot for stuff--check in later.
Love to all of you--In Christ , Gary

Happy Lord's Day to ALL!!!

Today is a beautiful sunny day here in the central south. :flow2: And although I am sick I'm loving the sun and of course the SON. I have come down with sinusitis and bronchitis. I can't breathe very well unless I take breathing treatments frequently. *sigh* Our weather keeps changing back and forth - cold to hot- dry to wet - etc....And the gusty wind has blown something my way. Anyhoo.............................

How is everyone else today? Sure is quiet around here this holiday weekend. Good to see you GARY and SUE!! EVERYONE else check in when you can. I weighed this morning and have lost ONE lb. That is not terrific but with it being a holiday week, not too bad. I'll still take it!

Well, I'm going to lay back down for a while. Just getting up for a while has worn me out. Hopefully I can make it to the DR tomorrow and get some antibiotics. I'll try to check back in later.

Have a good day!!!!

12-01-2002, 02:49 PM
Hello friends ~

Just a quick note to let y'all know that I'm still here. I've been so busy with my Christmas decorating and shopping that I just haven't even thought about getting online.

Yesterday was my weigh in and I lost 1 lb. I guess that's good with Thanksgiving week and all but I really stayed within my program so I'm surprised it was so low. Haha..... I guess I am being greedy. :)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Lord's Day. God bless you all.

12-01-2002, 05:09 PM
Way to go on the losses, ladies!! I maintained my weight again this week. I thought I would lose but I ate too much at a friend's house last night.

We've been busy sorting through things and packing. We still don't know what date we get our house but I'm trying to be really patient about it. The couple selling the house has 2 young children and it's easier for us to find a temporary place to live than it would be for them.

I find out tomorrow if I get the job or not. The manager called me on Friday and said it's between myself and another lady. They do have 2 positions posted so hopefully I will get one of them. It would be so good to have a job waiting for me instead of having to search when I get there. Please pray!

I have a very important prayer request for you. A guy we know was in a very serious vehicle accident and is doing very poorly. Please pray for healing for him. He took a turn for the worse this a.m. after coming through surgery really well. He's only 23 years old and has so much to live for. DH left early today so he could go see him in the hospital tonight. The family is devastated by this. Thanks!

Well, I should go get something done. Take care!

12-02-2002, 11:15 AM
GOOD MONDAY MORNING-- to all of you!
I am home today doing chores, my next project starts tomorrow so that means I had a whole week off with Thanksgiving and all. Boy it sure went fast. With the extra time off of work plus Thanksgiving dinner and leftovers I managed to put on 4 pounds. All the eating out at my step-d's soccer tournament didn't help either!! Good thing I did the race and the wife and I did a couple of other 3 mile walks during the week.
My son got home safe from his trip to the state championship for the cross-country team he coaches. His team came in 8th in the large school division so they were pretty happy about that, they had been ranked 6th in the state this year but fell out when some of the boys decided to "mess" around at practice-- they were held out of a big race and the team lost--learned a great lesson though!!
Church was good yesterday- one of our members' dad is a pastor in another state-- he came for his grandsons baptism and gave the sermon. The little boy is 6 months old and has had several heart surgeries, one more and he should be in the clear. This was a baptism to recognize an emergency one he had at birth-- the drs. didn't think he would live.

12-02-2002, 11:34 AM
I didn't want to lose post:dizzy: I just hate that-- Anyway service was nice. After, my wife and I sat with my ex and sold tickets to our raffle and progressive dinner we are putting on this Sunday-- I am going to be really busy the end of this week.
SHERRY I am sorry to hear you are sick-I hope this finds you feeling better:yes: I know what you mean about the weather changes- we have had all the same here with rain, wind, sunshine, overcast, etc. Makes it exciting-- ya never know what the day will bring-- at my step-d's tourney we were in tee shirts, then sweatshirts, then back to tees then rain gear then sweats, etc for the whole week-end.
ZOE - I have to put up the Thanksgiving decorations today (orders from the boss:lol: ) and get out the Christmas decorations. You are way ahead of me-- good for you!! Hey 1 pound is a LOSS no matter how you look at it:)
WILMA - I hope you got/get the job that is available today that you want. I am also praying for your friend. We had an incident in our town last week-- two boys, 16 and 18-- I don't know them-- were loading stage sets on a truck (volunteers for our local drama group) and a drunk driver hit them-- the wreck took off 1 leg of each boy:( It was such a sad story. One good thing though is that amazingly one of the boys is a christian ( not sure of the other-- he hadn't done interviews yet) Any way the 18 year old was already doing interviews with the t.v. and paper people 2 days after it happend-- being drivin' all over the hospital in his wheelchair saying what tradgedys happen from drunk drivers and how he is going to continue acting and helping and saying how thank-full he was to have faith!! How awesome is that- anyway I know it may set in and his days will be bad at times at least he has support from NUMBER 1!!
Well off to chores-- Hi to everyone that hasn't posted-- can't wait to hear from you--In Christ-Gary

12-02-2002, 05:43 PM
Good Afternoon My Friends!!!!!

How is everyone this afternoon? I'm am so tired. I spent all night trying to breathe and every time I laid down I started coughing and couldn't breathe. It was a very long frustrating night. :crying: I tried to get in to see the Dr but the earliest appt was Wed, so I made that one. I hate not getting in to see Drs when you are really sick. I switched from my other Dr in Sept cause when I was sick I would have to wait 2-3 days to see him and now this one is doing the exact same thing. The day is now catching up with me, and I'm yawning

GARY~ Good to see you here today. Sorry about the gain but it's really hard when you are forced to eat out alot, because you NEVER know what is really in the food you eat and the fat calories, Thank goodness you did get in your exercise!!! You are still an inspiration!!!! Yeah, I start out nearly every morning with a coat and then switch to a jacket later, then off with the jacket, on with the jacket later and then where's the coat? Plus, the sweet little old folks I go see are very cold natured and run their gas heaters till they are ORANGE!!!! And they are comfortable and I'm stripping off. LOL

WILMA~ You know if it's God's will for you to get this job you will. I know it's easier said then done, this waiting, but you know . . . . . . . .whatever he has for you will be the best. But just between you and me, I hope you get it too. ;) You bet we will pray for the young man that had the accident. It's very difficult at that age for something so serious to happen. Nineteen years ago last month I loss a 22 year old husband from a bad accident. He lived 32 hours in a coma. It was terrible!!!! My heart goes out to the family and the young man. They are all in my prayers!!! Hey Wilma, keep looking up . . . . . .your answer will come soon.

ZOE~ Hey there!!! So you got your Christmas decorations all done. Good for you. My dh and oldest dd got all ours on the outside of the house up this weekend. I didn't feel well so we still have the harvest fall theme on the inside. Soon. . . . . . very soon . . . . .I'll catch up. CONGRATULATIONS ON THE ONE LB LOSS!!!!:bravo: Keep up the good work!!!!!

SUE~ The last we heard from you, you were off to work. I hope you have got to come home before now. Check in when you can. We miss you!

EVERYONE~~ We miss you all, please check in when you can!!!!!

Hope everyone has a good evening!!! And a good Tuesday!!! Wish me luck I have a bad Anatomy and Physiology exam!!:yikes: But only 3 more classes this year!!!!!

Thank you all for your prayers. I am still waiting to hear about the job. I am much more peaceful today than I was yesterday. I also got a call from another bank wanting to interview me so I'm confident that I will get a job.

Sherry: Thanks so much for your kind words. They were just what I needed to hear today. I am so sorry you had to suffer so much at what I assume was early on in your marriage. Did you have children?

Sami: How's it going? I miss your long posts and hope they don't always end up in cyberspace.:dizzy:

Gary: Thanks for your prayers for our friend. He's doing a little bit better today but has a long hard road ahead of him. He's still in ICU and probably will be for a while.

Hi to everyone else!

12-03-2002, 08:06 PM
How are all of you doing today? I just got home from work--my first day in a week-- I sure do like not working BETTER:lol: I had to mop the floors and vacuum yesterday though so that when the BOSS got home she wouldn't yell at me-- just kiddin'. She never yells-- I just get the LOOK:devil:
Went to my son's championship soccer game last night--boy did they get hammered!!! 5 to 1, oh well, I am sure he will be off to play a new sport soon now that the soccer season is over-- or maybe not-- here in California some sports run all year in the recreation leagues.
SHERRY --I am so sorry to hear of your late husband-- what a tragic start in life you had. I am still praying for your health and for your classes. My daughter is in college studying for her P.E. major in knesiology ( I know that isn't spelled correct!). She is always studying for an anatomy class or test. I really feel sorry for you guys!!!
SAMI-- Hey girl-- glad to hear from you. How is that body shaping up for the wedding? You still have time so don't ever give up-- EVER!! God doesn't give up on us--so we can't either. There is always--ALWAYS hope. I am sorry to hear of your sisters death. When you post just do half as much okie-dokie?

12-03-2002, 08:11 PM

WILMA I am glad to see your friend is better. As far as the job goes--You will get one soon--All the hot women do!!!!! Isn't packing fun? Actually I have been in my house for 23 years so I really don't remember.

Good Evening all ~

Well, I'm on the run again but wanted to stop in for a moment to say hi. This is such a busy time of year but I try to always remember the true meaning of this holiday season. We can get so wrapped up in the shopping and parties that we tend to forget why we even have Christams. I try to realize why we have Christmas and also do something nice for someone less fortunate

I hope everyone is having a great evening and staying warm if you're in cold climates. We only had a high of 53 today....brrrrrrrr......I think it's supposed to be in the 40's for the next few days. WOW, that's cold!!

Have a great evening everyone.

Me <><

12-04-2002, 09:15 AM
Good Morning Everyone!!!!

Just checking in, trying to get ready for work. It's BRRRRRR here this morning. It's 32 degrees with some of that mix stuff around in some areas. I know 32 is not too cold to some of you, but it is for this country chick in the southern state.

Today I finally get to go the Dr. Actually, I am somewhat better. But still need to go get antibiotics and get over this mess.

Well, can't stay long to write to each of you but know I care and that I'm here in thought and prayers.

Have a GOOD HUMPDAY!!!!!!

12-04-2002, 06:38 PM
Yesterday morning we hit -8 degrees and that was cold, but has been much colder in past winters. Hi to all. Mrs. Hummer, sorry to hear you are sick, do hope and will pray you also sorry to hear of your loss so many years ago, that must have been rough. I should also update you guys on pastor- His tumor they removed was so full of infection, its not useable for the antiserum, so, he now will not be able to have the treatment unless he grows another tumor. He is having radiation on his leg, he is scheduled for 15 treatments. So, that was bad news, but I keep praying the Lord will intervene. Wilma I pray you get the job, you sound so excited. ez- glad to hear you do vacumning and mopping, what about windows hee hee!Zoe- have fun decorating, I enjoy putting on Christmas music and then doing it, puts me in the mood to decorate. Hello Ladies-- I am sitting here with way too much food in my gut!! Ouch!! i had a giant burrito and a steak and cheese quesadilla from our fish taco place. The wife and I decided not to cook tonight 'cause our son went out of town to a basketball game, the nephew is with his mom for the weekly visitation, my daughter is at school and the wife's daughter is with her dad--so it was just us for dinner. She is off for her tennis lessons and I still can't move--- not a pretty sight:lol:
SAMI -It will be o.k. tomorrow. Whatever you need is going to be taken care of-- you are in the best hands--GOD'S!!! So the computer is your teen's huh-- imagine that!! Ha!! At least the kids know how to use them correctly-- I bet they wouldn't lose all the posts we do. I just stay logged in and it seems to help. You are in my prayers.
SUE I am sending you some California sunshine-- where I live the days have been in the 70's and the nights a chilly 54--Ha-Ha. I am so sorry things are not going well for your Pastor-- he is still in our prayers. I have had the same pastor for 20 years and I sure don't want to lose him either-- he has had several bouts with illness but at 58 he is in pretty good shape.

12-04-2002, 10:45 PM
SHERRY I am also sending you some sunshine! And prayers that the dr. visit went well for you too!! Sounds like you guys need a break and need to get some rest!! Let your families take care of you--- you can't do it all- how is the studying going?
ZOE I love your Christmas tree- I never did get the Christmas stuff out completely-- we are still harvest decor. I am sending you some sunshine too!!
WILMA-- Still waiting to hear of the job decision-- I hope all your packing is going well-- stay Focused-- your friends there will always be your friends no matter where you move--- Heck I still have friends from high school that have moved away-- I still talk to them from time to time--of course I haven't seen them for 30 years! You will have so many new friends you won't have time to post with us-- Still praying for the young man.
Well I better switch to my recliner and rest some of this food off:lol: Actually my wife is having some kind of teacher seminar here at the house tomorrow instead of teaching their classes they are doing some kind of work on papers here--I don't get it, I just know I was told to go to work early and come home late!!! You don't suppose they don't want me hangin' around do ya:lol: At least you guys love me-- Well off to pick up my stuff out of the living room for the teachers- In Christ, Gary

12-05-2002, 08:57 AM
Hello everyone

Thursday is here, almost Friday and I am at the tail end of my decorating and shopping. I think I'm going to love being finished with my Christmas shopping early so I can enjoy the holiday for what it really is. I've never finished early before ~ always said I wanted to but never did, so this is too cool.

Gary ~ You need to get your harvest decorations put away now. Do you put lights on the outside of your house? We love driving around, looking at all the lights. We have streets and even entire developments where everyone does something big and when you go down those streets, it's like a lit up winter wonderland. Beautiful. I wanna live on one of THOSE streets. :)

Sami ~ My prayers are with you. I understand what you're saying....wanting them to find something but at the same time, not wanting them to. Look up sweetie....God is with you.

Wilma ~ Any GOOD news yet? Remember, God knows what we need and where we need to be....all will work out.

Sherry ~ I hope you're feeling better. Did you go to the doctor? Oh, and stay warm......get some rest girl.

Sue ~ I'm sorry to hear that news on your Pastor. I continue to pray for him. Your weather is too cold for me. -8??? Holy cow!! Stay warm kiddo.

I don't think I missed anyone. Have a wonderful Thursday. God bless you all and all your families and friends.

Me <><

12-05-2002, 11:10 AM
I still haven't heard about the job yet or the possession date on the house. God is teaching this very impatient person to rest in HIM. I know that He knows what's best for me and that it will all come in good time.

I did hear from another bank and I have a telephone interview with them on Monday morning so things are happening.

The guy in the accident is still with us. I haven't heard anything for the past couple of days but that could be a good thing. Thanks for your prayers on his behalf.

Zoe: Finished your Christmas shopping??!!! I'm having such a disjointed Christmas this year that we don't even know where we're celebrating. I'm not decorating this either with packing to do and it's kind of depressing. I think I'll go visit DH's aunt who decorates up a storm.

Gary: You are such a flatterer! The second interview is over the telephone so my "hottness" is going to have to come from my mouth.

Sami: You are in my prayers. Please take care of yourself.

Doitforme: Your pastor is still in my prayers.

Mrshummer: I hope you're feeling better!

Hello to everyone else out there. Gutchie where are you?

Have a wonderful day!

12-05-2002, 04:07 PM
Praise God!!! I got a full time position starting January 2nd. I am still in shock but wanted to share my wonderful news with you. Thank you so much for your prayers!!

12-05-2002, 11:18 PM

Way to go Wilma, congrat's on the job, beginning on my Birthday January 2nd. ( Oh yeah I don't have those anymore!!!:)Good Luck girl!

My prayers and thoughts are with each of you on this site.

Tis a winter wonderland in Southern Ontario, 4" of fresh snow and temperatures in the 20's. The son/babysitting jobs, and grandchildren rush in from the school bus put on the snowsuits and off to the hill until dark, sleding/snowboarding/and just plan sliding, oh the joys of winter in Canada.

Its now official the Christmas decorations and tree are up in our home. Sitting here at the computer I'm next to the mini lighted tree. I love Christmas! Thank you Jesus, our reason to celebrate this season, lets not forget, He is the REASON.

The weight loss isn't going well:mad:
Oh, my neice is reaching 90 pounds gone, and the Dd is about to hit 40 pounds gone, while I myself, struggle. So close to giving up, fighting to hold on, I need your support. ( Actually I need you to lock me in a room away from any food)

I'm thinking of you all.
Take care, God Bless.

Sister Joanne

[COLOR=darkblue][B]Hi EVERYONE-- So glad to hear some of the good news and the spirit of the season coming alive in you guys.

WILMA- I TOLD YOU!!!!!! ALL the HOTTIES get hired-- and how 'bout that-- you get to enjoy the holiday season without the worry of work-- we'll work on where you will be sleeping later:lol: I am sure the house closing will come through in plenty of time.

JOANNE-- WOW-- so good to hear from you. I don't think I could handle the snow-- it sure sounds like fun though for all the kids/grandkids. Congrats on the DD and neice and their losses-- YOU CAN DO IT TOO-- in fact you as MOM and AUNT should be setting the example-- but hey it's ok to follow their lead too!!

ZOE-- Yes I do put lights on the outside of the house-- real simple though, white lights across the tops of the front 4 windows with 2 foot square stars in white lights, then a white light run across the middle of the house-- it's a 2 story. Since you are all finished I will be calling you to help with my decorating and shopping-- I accept NO excuses:lol:

Well off to do the SURVIVOR and CSI thing fellow fans (ZOE is that you?)

12-06-2002, 09:51 AM

Well, finally I get to post! I tried to post several times and kept having trouble with my server being down or running out of time to post. But, I'm here now. Well, sounds like most of you have your decorations up and are getting ready for Christmas. Come on GARY  I finially finished putting my up except for the girls little tree. They can't decide where they want to put it. ?? Yes, I went to the DR Wednesday and got shots and pills and I'm already on the road to feeling better. I did feel better yesterday and tried to do too much and was absolutely pooped last night but feel good this morning, after 1/2 pot of coffee, my throat even feels better. ;-)

WILMA~ Congratulations on the new job!!!! :balloons:
WooHOO!!! You go girl!!! We knew you could do it! Now, about those sleeping arrangements?...?...? We'll just have to continue to pray about that one. We're still remembering your young man in our thoughts and prayers.

GARY~ So have you got those outside lights up yet?? Well, what is your excuse? Are you as agravated about Jake getting bumped off Survivor as I am? I liked him. I thought Clay should go. Oh well, thank goodness, I'm not there.

JOANNE~ So good to hear from you!!! Your snow sounds nice but you keep it up there for now, ok? ZOE and I don't like that cold weather that much. As for your weight loss. . . . YOU HANG IN THERE AND DON'T LET THE  WIN!!!!! You are strong and you can do this. Just ask God to give you the strength and help you see results so that will encourage you to continue. Trust me, He and I have this talk all the time. And HE NEVER FAILS!!! So, hang in there!!!

SUE~ So sorry to hear about the new problem with the pastor. Poor guy, I'm sure his strength is weakening at this point in time. We will continue to pray for his renewed strength and new answers to help him and his family. I'm with you let's put the Christmas music on and get after it.

SAMI~ Girl, we are still praying for you. I understand you want answers good or bad so you know what you are dealing with and what to do about it. The unknown is the scariest of all. Keep looking up to God for strength and the answers and HE will provide what you need. How did yesterday go? Let us hear from you soon. :grouphug:

ZOE~ Finished shopping already???? Well, then, come do mine. I always look forward to going out and shopping, and then I get into crowds and around folks with bad attitudes and fussing about every little thing and somehow the wonderful mood I was in transforms and comes closer to their mood and I come home grumpy. I cannot let that happen! So, one thing, I try not to let myself get over tired cause that makes me more likey to get that way. I love driving through the neighbors looking at the lights too. But of course, in our little town, about 30-45 minutes and we're through, if that long. Don't you think those with those BRRRRRR temps should keep their low temps there. I think I like the SUN that GARY sent us, don't you? But who sent the wind?? :yikes: How do you get those pictures on your posts? I have tried and think I've done it, then they never show up!!! Whine, whine, whine.

Well, I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL FRIDAY!!!! And a GREAT weekend!!!! I've got to sun finish getting ready for work. C ya soon.

12-06-2002, 09:53 AM
I finally got my picture to stay up!!!! Yay!!! Hurray!!!!:lucky:

12-06-2002, 08:22 PM
I just got home from getting a haircut with the nephew-- my ex-wife is taking him and my kids to a really nice concert tonight--it is called Carols by Candlelight. There are several well known musicians in it, although I am not sure who it is this year, I do know last years' had Kenny Loggins. I took him to get some new clothes last night-- today we got the haircut and YELLOW SPIKES to match. He should look real sharp for a goofball!!! Just kidding-- he is a great kid-- I just made sure that I put a whole can of spray on his spikes or else by the time his aunt picked him up they would have dissapeared.

12-06-2002, 08:36 PM
I had to go get him outta the bath before he wrinkled beyond recognition.
SHERRY -- Thanks for the image of Jesus Saves-- He saves us in more ways than one doesn't HE?!! So glad to hear you are feeling better-- I think I know the problem-- a half pot of coffee??? If I drank ONLY a half pot of coffee I wouldn't know how to act-- that is my biggest vice-- I drink probably-- HONESTLY--3 quarts a day-- it is 50/50 at least. YES-- I too wanted Jake to stay-- I still like Survivor alot, but I have enjoyed some of the past ones much more-- Clay has got to go!!!
Well, I have to whip up some leftovers, the wife and I are going tonight to do the shopping for about 75 for our dinner on Sunday, prime rib and chicken with raspberry chipoyle or teriyaki glaze.

IN HIS LOVE-Gary:dizzy:

Hello Friends ~

I'm here to ask your prayers for my mom. She had colon cancer a few years ago. The doctor said that he "got it all" but said that if she wanted some chemo, it couldn't hurt. She did it for about 3/4 of the way and quit. She's had blood tests regularly ever since. A few months ago, her blood test showed raised levels. She had an X-ray and it showed a spot on her lung. I know that the spot in itself doesn't mean "bad" but it seems a strange coincidence that her blood tests came back elevated too. Anyway, she's having a Cat Scan next week to see what's going on. Please pray for her, that it it's nothing. Also, she's a nervous wreck.

Thank you all.

Love in Christ,
Zoe <><

Good Morning Friends!!!!

How is everyone this wonderful morning? I have already been out working and have come back in for a little while. Here in central Texas the weather is good (high 50's) but all will change tomorrow it's suppose to drop and start raining/snowing. Yuck!! Get ready ZOE.

GARY~ You are so funny my friend. Yellow spikes???
Coffee is definitely my vice too. I have cut down from a lot more. The Dr wants me on only decaffienated!! :yikes: I don't do well at all on that! Have you got those lights up yet???

ZOE~ You bet we will remember your mom!!! I bet she is scared and fearing the worse! Keep reminding her that she is in God's hands!! Remind her that she beat it before and IF it is back that she with God's help will beat it again!!!!! GOD IS ON THE THRONE!!!!!!! Get ready for the weather change tomorrow. I heard earlier that it might even start tonight. I hope we don't get the frozen stuff. Ya know?

Hello to EVERYONE!!! HAVE A GOOD DAY and check in when you can!!!!

Talk atcha later!!!

12-07-2002, 02:52 PM

How is your week-end going so far? I am just "chillin" as the kids would say, waiting for a fellow church member to come and pick up some items for our dinner tomorrow. The wife and I went shopping last night and were at the surplus store 7am today. We have everything we need:lol: until we figure out what we forgot!! That usually happens at just about the time the guest are coming for the main course from the appetizers!! You all know the stories-- dinner at 6 (potatoes ready at 7-- too many in the pot to cook right-- or better yet dinner at 6 prime rib ready at 5!!) sometimes ya gotta wonder is it worth it? Maybe that is why years ago Lutherans drank alot:lol:

SHERRY-- High 50's? that was our low here last night--brr! DECAF? STRAIGHT? isn't that like TOFU MEAT? proof that drs. don't know everything!! Glad to hear you are out and about burning off those calories!! Take time to study-- my kids are right now (in-between boy/girl friends)

ZOE-- I am so sorry for your mom-- I think that most of the time the anxiety and worry is far worse than the actual problem. Cancer is such a horrible thing-- my father, 54, and my granpa 61, and cousin 35 all died from it. I know through prayer we will help your mom with comfort!!

Gotta go put up the lights--FINALLY-- well, at least I am getting them out of storage!! In His Precious Care--Gary

12-07-2002, 09:46 PM
Hello Friends

Thank you Sherry and Gary for your prayers for my Mom. She goes for a Cat Scan on Tuesday and I will let you know what happens when I hear. She does believe in God strongly and believes in Jesus Christ ~ I'm just not sure she's 'born again'.

Just got in from shopping. Late, because I wanted to be home to watch "It's a Wonderful Life" and it's already started. Can't stay tonight but wanted you to know that my WI went good. I lost 1.8 lbs for a grand total of 29 lbs in 14 weeks. Woo Hoo. My next mini goal was to lose 30 lbs by our company Christmas party. That party is next Friday night so I think I am going to consider that goal met.

Zoe <><

12-07-2002, 10:01 PM
WWAY TO GO ZOE :cb: :cb: 2 BIG banannas for your weight loss-- you can certainly claim your goal met -- I even give you permission to eat all the fattening stuff you can at your party!! But only at your party:lol:

Two big Banannas for me too-- my Christmas lights, tree and decorations are up!! Thanks to my daughter, wife and step daughter--OH, and 2 beers!!

12-08-2002, 10:36 AM
Hi everyone! Yes Gary we're "All" going to Worship this morning aren't we????

A sunny cold day in Southern Ontario today, isn't the sunshine wonderful!

I started out for yesterdays Christmas party confident I could turn down the no no foods! WRONG! Temptation took hold with the pumpernickel bread and spinach dip, down hill after that.
They had "squares" of every type, who invented gooie squares?
Today we're off to another doo, say a prayer I can stay outta these things. I love Christmas, but why serve food? Coffee would be nice, I prefer Tim Horton's English Toffee, yummy up here in Canada. ( Yes I know its worth 3 points per medium cup)
Be strong, I'm hearing you all!!!!

Enjoy this Lord's day!
Thinking of you all with Prayers going up where needed.

Sister Joanne (Drinking lots of water today :)

Good Monday Morning to EVERYONE!!!!

I'm trying to wake up this morning. It's 40's and raining here this morning and looks like it has rained all night. :rain:So, I will take the kids to the bus at the road so they look presentable by the time they get to school.

GARY~ You did it!!!! You got all the Christmas decorations up? Good for you!!! We knew you could do it. Isn't that right ZOE? We'll put it on our list when we are out looking at lights, now which turn was that again?

JOANNE~ I love the sunshine anytime! :flow1: Don't beat yourself up for the eating yesterday. It's done, just start fresh again and just think how badly you don't want the old  to have the victory. That normally does it for me. I just sometimes forget to think about that. Ya know?

ZOE~ CONGRATULATIONS on the 1.8lbs gone forever!!!!:cp: Wow, you are doing ever so good!!! I guess you are getting the rain too by now. It's going to be a messy day for me going down dirt cliche roads to see patients.

Hope EVERYONE has a good day!!!!! Remember to let GOD HAVE THE GLORY TODAY!!!! Ask HIM to guide your eating and only allow you to have what your body NEEDS!!! Praise God He is GOOD!!!!!!

12-09-2002, 09:22 AM
Here is today's DIETER'S DEVOTIONAL from www.crosswalk.com that I thought might help us all today!!!

"Acts 2:21
'And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.'

Barbara was so thankful. She had come so far, but lately the stress had been overwhelming. When she was under stress, she liked to eat. She was so afraid of blowing her diet that it just added to the stress. She was nervous and on edge all the time. One evening, while she had some time alone, she settled down to read her Bible and pray. It was one of the most peaceful experiences she had had in weeks. She felt renewed and strengthened by the experience; so much so that she made it a nightly routine. It got her through the stress, and it kept her on her diet. By God's graces he triumphed.
Today's thought: I admit I need help, but it's good to know that God offers all the help I can handle!"

12-09-2002, 11:26 PM
I hope this finds you all well and happy from a great week-end. Mine went pretty well-- as I said Sat. I got the decorations up and Sunday was our -- the wife and I-- big progressive dinner party. It was a big success, we made prime rib (remember the joke about dinner at 6 ready at 5?) well guess what!!!!? Any way we pulled it off with some au jus. The chicken--raspberry chipotle or teriaki glaze was fine. It sure is hard cooking for 80!! All in all it was super and the people there gave my wife and I and our helpers alot of compliments-- they love to complain too:lol: but so far we haven't heard any.

JOANNE-- It wouldn't be Christmas parties without the food. Remember dear that good nutrition and exercise is a lifestyle-- it is o.k. to have a little too much on these occasions. God doesn't want us to be prisoners to our bodies. If we try and take care of ourselves on a daily basis a little excess from time to time is no big deal. Take a few snacks and enjoy:) the party-- drinking the water is good. English toffee-- never had it--sounds good.

SHERRY-- We could use a little:rain: :rain: :rain: here. O.K.-- maybe alot-- we have drought conditions on the horizon if we don't get some wet weather that sticks around and soaks in. However the sunshine sure is nice. Thanks for the devotional-- you always have such pleasant looking posts to read-- makes it fun.

WILMA--SUE--SAMI--ZOE-- Hope all is well--IN CHRIST--Gary

Good Tuesday Morning everyone ~

I'm just about ready to get to work but need to run to the dry cleaners first. If I get them in there in the morning, they are ready to be picked up at 5pm. And since I wait until the last minute for Greg's clothes, this is a blessing for me. :p

This is a good week so far but I'm trying to conserve my eating. Friday night is our company Christmas party and I don't want to over do it. And being the night before my weigh in, I'm nervous.

Thanks Gary for telling me that my mini goal WAS met. I think 1 pound away and 6 days to go means it was met too. :D

Sherry, Joanne, Wilma, Sue and Sami Hope everyone is having a great week so far.

Talk to you soon.......

Me <><

Here is today's Devotional for Dieter's from www.crosswalk.com. I hope it touches each of you as much as it did me.

"Romans 14:17
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Joan's doctor had told her to make a list of what was really important to her. Her husband and children headed the list. Her health was next, then her pets. She also wrote down her mother's ring and some furniture that her father had made when he was a young man. Her doctor asked her if she wanted to lose all that was on the list, and she told him 'Of course not!' He told her that she had to lose weight or she wouldn't be around long to enjoy the things she truly loved. If those things were really more important to her than food, then she was going to have to prove it. She asked God for help and then set her mind toward losing weight.

Today's thought: Compared to the truly important things in life, food is pretty pathetic!"

Good Morning My Friends!!!!

Good to see you this morning ZOE. The above devotional really spoke to me this morning. You know how you listen to a message a preacher (pastor, etc) preaches and it feels like he is talking directly to you and that no one else had to be there. Well, that is the case with this devotional. I have been told basically the same thing. If I want to be around to see my family I better get my weight off and change my lifestyle of eating and seditary lifestyle. Well, I really don't want a sediatry lifestyle BUT how much? I need to get off my duff and do some type of exercise for however long I can do it. Anything is better than nothing. As my preacher says, You aim at nothing and you will hit it everytime. :yikes: I am a good shot at that target. :dizzy: Today I am off and it is the last day of school. I am taking my oldest with me so we can go shopping. I am trying to beat the crowds and I work the weekends and evenings so it's very hard to go any other time. And who would want to go shopping intentional on the weekends this time of the year?!? :yikes: I hate the crowds and lines, etc...

GARY~ I'm so glad your dinner went well. Feeding 80 folks is a challenge, I remember when we have done that. But never did prime rib, YUM. See how food talks to me. I will be more than happy to send you this rain for a little while. Now how does that reverse button work to send it back west and not east? Oh, give me a minute, I will figure it out. We are to have sunshine again today. Yay!!!!

ZOE~ So glad to see you this morning! You sound like me with the cleaners deal. I am the worse procrastinator!!! WTG planning your week and saving calories and (points?) for Friday. That shows you are changing your WOE and making the lifestyle changes that are necessary to keep the weight off and be able to enjoy the new you and look forward to your future. Is it still raining there this morning? It's cleared out of here I hope. Have a good day!

EVERYONE - Have a good day!!!! Post when you can during this busy time of the year. We miss you!
