Hey Ladies!!

I hadn't seen a 250's thread in awhile so I thought I'd start one!!

Here you can share your progress as we aim for 249!!

As of Saturday I was at 259.8, but sticking to my plan this week I am already down to 255.6!!! Hopefully I will be able to start/join a 240's thread ASAP!!

How about all you other lovely 250's ladies?

I did it today! Last Wednesday I weighed in at 256 even. Today...247!!! So excited! I also lost 5 1/2" off my waist, 1/2" off my neck, 1" off my hips, and 1" off my bicep!!! I just LOVE Ideal Protein!

Well I gained a little today (1 lb, but it could be contributed to my sopping wet hair at weight in :) ) But sitting pretty at just over 256... I bought 30 day shread last night and planning on starting that tonight to try out. I remember it being fairly difficult to get all the way through the first time I tried it but practice makes perfect!

Well today I was down to 254.6!! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!! I have been so good at resisting temptation all week. Tonight I am making 150+ cupcakes for a wedding tomorrow night but I know that I will do just fine trying to avoid licking the bowl :chef: .

Just weighed today. Solid 254.0

I haven't been on this board in a long time, but I need the motivation and hope to help encourage others in return.

Thinking about trying the C25K again. The first time I tried it, I got real discouraged when I wasn't able to progress at the rate the program is designed to. Now I know if I'm not 100% confident in week 2, then just repeat it. It's not the end of the world.

Sorry to be so chatty.

Kelleigh - Welcome and Chat away!!! I hope this thread can bring you some modivation!! I too have been concidering restarting C25K, I usually get to about week 2 then get distracted and stop completely... I think I am just going to wait for the weather to be a little more conducive to running outside again! Dont hesitate to use this thread as a place to share every aspect of your journey!


Well I did fairly well this weekend! I weighed in just now about a pound heavier than friday but it wasn't my normal weigh in time and i have just eaten a pretty good sized dinner and a few glasses of water, so hopefully my normal weigh in tomorrow morning will show me on track!

Next weekend is my real test, i am having a girls night at my place... I am the cook in my group of friends so I will be making all the food but I will make sure I will have planty of healthy snacks to keep myself on track.

Well I was up slightly this morning, Darn Mother nature!! I had the worst chocolate craving last night and caved in making some cookies but ate one and brought the rest to work... Now I just have to get them off my desk and into other peoples tummys before they start calling my name again. I am hoping to be in the 240's by next weekend. I am starting 30 day shread tonight or tomorrow so hopefully adding excercize will cause a nice WOOSH!!

Well I am the same weight as yesterday (256.6) which means its not going down :( !! I didnt start 30 day shread last night but hope to get it started tonight. I have lots of cleaning and cooking to do before my party Saturday night so maybe I can turn that into some cardio!!

I will aim for under 252 by next monday! I need something to hold me accountable!

Checking back in! Crazy at work this week and two moredays to go.

Essa - Did you start the Shred tonight? I know what you mean about late night snacks. That's like my favorite time to eat something sweet.

Lottie - TOM causes all sorts of issues with me. Weight, bowels, cravings, and on and on.

I started the C25K Sunday and I did day 2 yesterday. Day 2 was more difficult for me, but I pushed through. May just work on this week for a while, but that's okay at least I'm moving!

Just finished my 30DS - still kicking my butt. I'm not sore, just worn out! I've never tried it during the day - I'm afraid I would need to nap right after workout. Good for my body, bad for my grades/paycheck.

Kelleigh - Thank goodness there are only two days of the workweek left!! I didn't start 30DS this week, I have been working later than I usually do and just havent found the energy... but no more excuses. I am going to start it friday ( I know it is going to kick my butt but I am ready for it!).

dcapulet - Good work on the 30DS!

Well I am down 0.7 lbs tonight but I ate more food last night than I have in weeks! Its insane how the human body works. So 255.9, 6 lbs to go before I can finally be back in the 240's!

We are starting a weight loss challenge at my office the 21st of January but I am still not 100% sure I will join it this year. I usually do really well for a few weeks but then it has the opposite affect of modivation. Plus I am not quite comfortable with the ladies running it to know my true weight :o

UPDATE: Ok I figured that if I am given a chance to win money for weight I am planning on losing anyways I might as well do it. So I decided to join the office weigh in...

Biggest loser each week gets a $25 gift card... biggest loser overall gets close to $300!

So yesterday afternoon I weighed myself and hit 259.8! Then as I was browsing here today, I see this thread and my automatic thought was "Oh, 250's - I'm still too fat for that thread..." and then I realized "Wait! I weigh in the 250's!"

So I'm overjoyed to be here and will be even happier when I get to leave :p

Well I am up a bit this morning but had a late dinner last night so I hope that was the culprit. I am going to be a bit more relaxed with my plan for the next week and will probably not lose too much but after next friday (Start of our office fit club) I am on a mission to see the scale move down, down, down!!! And see my wallet size go up, up, up...lol. But in all seriousness I really hope this challenge is a modivation this time and I can drop some serious pounds!

dcapulet - Way to go on your exercise! I weigh in tomorrow morning. Everyday but Thursday I have done some exercise, but I need to really work on my diet.

Essa - Kuddos to you for joining that office weight loss. They started one at my office at the first of the year, but I was just too, too embrassed for some of them to know my weight. There's a few I work with who like nothing better than something or someone else to talk about.

Cherrypie99 - I hope we all see those 240s SOON!

Lisa - you are right there! Go girl! I hope to be right behind you.

I did day 3 of week 1 of the C25K today. I am so slow. I will probably repeat this week again next week and try to build up some speed.

I have a very bad habit of thinking just cause I've exercised it justifies my eating more or something late or a special treat. I guess that would be fine if I was maintaining, but I am a long way from that.

Well I decided to go off plan a little til the challenge starts friday, I had a party this weekend which threw me off plan anyways. I will probably weigh in Friday for the challenge a little over 260 with a little help from a few glasses of water (It sounds like cheating, but everyone does it, most of the guys who do the challenge will eat 10+ McDonalds breakfast sandwiches before the first weigh in, that is absolutely disgusting!! Think how hard it would be to lose that).

So I probably wont weigh in til Friday morning this week instead of my daily weigh ins.

Just made it into the 250's on Saturday. I only weigh once a month, so it may have been sooner...but for sure on Saturday.

From 263 to 255! Good bye 260's, hello for a short time 250's. I can't wait to say goodbye to the 250's either lol.

Thanks for the welcome! Okay, official weigh in day (although I rarely make it more than 2 days without weighing) and I'm down to 254.4. I love the time right after baby when the weight falls off. Also cut WAY back on soda, so it's falling even faster this time!

Well the I batted off the competitive side of me and weighed in for the weight loss challenge without stuffing myself before weigh in and I stayed under 260 ( If I would have drank water/ate a huge breakfast it could have been as high as 265 :o ). I am now going to be hard work and good food not just for the rest of the 12 weeks but for the rest of my life!!

Good Morning everyone. Tomorrow is my weigh-in day. I have been on plan all week. Hoping for a loss. Weighing once a week is working for me, I used to weigh every day, but got discouraged if I had a few days in a row with no loss.

Hey dcapulet ! I know what you mean about being tired and not wanting to work out. After working all day, the last thing I want to do is workout. So a lot of times I try to do mine first thing in the morning. Of course that means getting up earlier, but we ARE worth it!

I weighed in at 252 today. Hopefully I'll be out of 250s soon! I dug through my closet and found some size 20 jeans and they fit again! Woohooo! I can't wait to be even smaller. :) This feels great!

I just got a HUGE motivational event for getting healthy, some girlfriends and I are booking a western Caribbean cruise in early May and I want to look great!! Only 3 short month away, but so much can be accomplished in three months!

Well, "official" weight in last night at Weight Watchers was ugly...254.6. Up 2.4 from last week. :cry: This morning, I was at 251.8. IT IS SOOOOOOOO FRUSTRATING!!!!!! I know that I was not very good on plan last week, but, well.....you gals know. Anyway...that is enough whining!

Essa - Proud of you girl! Keep it up and you will leave me behind!

Well ladies looks like I am on a little streak, 254.4 this morning, usually by the third day I am up if its just normal fluxuations and not a sustainable loss but I am down .6 from yesterday and 4.6 from last week, lets hope this trend stays.

Wow, belly dancing sounds like a lot of fun. I've been interested in trying it for exercise but I haven't heard of any classes around my area. Has anyone found any good exercise videos for it?

My scale was moving between 250-251 this morning. Sooooo close! It has been stuck around 251-252 the past couple days so I just gotta make a big push! Gonna see if some friends want to walk the track at my college tonight.

I don't know what has gotten into me. I have not been counting my calories for days now. And I have not made the best choices. Worse yet, I've hardly drank any water - been hitting the soda. I have kept exercising though. I just have to get it together. Today's a new day, right? I can turn it around today.

Riesz - Soo close!! I'll have to let you know how the classes go tonight. I found a few videos on youtube with belly dancing lessons but I havent tried any of the videos out there so I am not sure which are good.

Kelleigh - We all have our moments, you just have to pick yourself up and keep going. Good job on the exercise!! I am the opposite of you, I am great when it comes to food, but bad when it comes to working out (Tonight will be my first workout in ages :o ). I am glad our posts help you!! I know this thread keeps me on track!

Oh I longed to be under 250 before the end of this month but I might miss my mark by a few days.

Good morning everyone!! I just love seeing some good losses happening for everyone...remember slow and steady is fine!!!

Staying on plan today, was there yesterday too, even with eating out, planned for it and did well.

I have changed my perspective from losing a certain amount to staying on plan for a year. Can I do it?? I think so, one day at a time. And at a year, I should have pretty much made this a way of life. I love my plan, because there is wiggle room--just gotta be smart about it. Of course I should have lost some significant weight by then, as well. But if the goal is being on plan and feeling better, then a slow loss week wont get me down!!!!

Bunti, so I typed out a long response on my phone earlier and it did something weird to it, so here goes again. I think this is a fabulous idea, it seems no matter how hard we try, we can't control the rate at which we lose weight, so it is easy to get discouraged. We do however have complete control over staying on plan and making the healthiest choices possible. I think that I am going to definitely use your goal too, at least once I figure out what my exact "plan" is.

Bunti - I love your post and your outlook! It will be amazing how you feel at the end of one year, as long as it seems, it will go by in the blink of an eye. Lifestyle changes are necessary for a better self, and when you lose weight in that year it will just be the (sugar-free, fat-free) icing on the cake :)

Sperrin - Of course you can join, WELCOME!!! You found a great thread!

Well I am up a little today (256) :( but I usually never eat after like 5 and last night I had a dinner meeting around 8, and I had some soup and french bread (Which I hardly ever eat anymore). Lets hope I am back down to 254._ for weigh in tomorrow morning.

Belly Dancing started last night and while we did hardly ANY movements (the teacher likes to talk) I can already tell that I am going to love it!! Hopefully she gets us moving next week! Funny thing is that our instructor is probably in the obese range in her weight, which makes me wonder how much fitness this dance actually offers...

On a side note two of my girlfriends and I booked a Western Caribbean cruise for the first week in may so I have 94 days to get into some serious shape (other than round)!!! Lets do this ladies!

Salt is my enemy! Up 2 pounds and then realized that the past two days, I've eaten a lot of processed foods because of no time to make real food. Bad, bad, bad. So anyway, lots of water and no more high sodium foods. Hopefully in a day or two those two pounds will be gone again.

Just checking in.I've been kind of in a rut in getting started...so the loss wasn't happening and in fact I had gained another 2 lbs.(was up to 260)!No wonder I didn't want to post here. :o So,I pulled out the only thing that has helped in the past,my mp3 player with Paul McKenna on it.I'm down to 256 as of this morning and will continue to listen to my mp3 player every night before going to bed.

Essa415- The belly dancing sounds so fun! I wish I could find a class somewhere...and a cruise coming up....you'll have so much fun!

lisanovak- That's how I've been feeling too.

Morning everyone. Welcome Sperrin, this is a nice place to hang out and we're all heading to the "40s" together.

Still on plan, last night budgeted for some wonderful pork shoulder roast, had with lots of vegies and a nice big salad.....I guess there was too much fat, my body didn't like it. I guess I am changing things without consciously doing it. I haven't consciously limited fats, still eating eggs, meats, etc, but looks like I have cut back significantly. (Without bread or pasta, not much to add butter or oil to, and I have eliminated fried foods. Not a huge change I thought, but it seems to have changed me in 4 short weeks.)

Hey Everyone :)

Congrats on all the losses!

I have also been a huge rut getting started, but starting fresh today :)
I actually hired my sister to help me scrub my kitchen ( I have a 3 month old and a 2 year old and just let it get away on me) we cleaned every nook and cranny. Having a sparkling clean kitchen and an organized fridge and pantry actually makes me want to cook and eat better if that makes any sense . . .

I also did a major grocery shop yesterday so that will definitely help :)

Do any of you have favorite workout DVDs?

Bunti - The meal sounds delish, It’s good that your body is aware of the bad news in the food now, even if you didn’t know you were doing it!

Lee- Sounds like you had a great workout scrubbing down your kitchen alone! In terms of videos I love 10 minute solutions videos, Pilates being the best. I also like 30 day shred.. I need to start that again like I said I was going to 2 weeks ago :o

Leebird- I am so jealous. I wish I could get some help as I have 2 little ones too. I totally know what you mean about being inspired to cook in a clean, organized space.
I have stayed on plan today even though I had to run through McDonald's to get my starving 2 y/o lunch after a very long dr.'s appointment. I am so proud of myself because they gave us two free apple pies (we had to wait a really long time) and even though I was starving, I just set them aside and waited until I got home to make my self something to eat.

As far as exercise goes, I took power sculpt and "ab lab" classes this morning. I learned that planks are not my friend :(

sperrin - I will give weekly updates on the belly dancing! It should be a lot of fun, plus we have a great group or ladies in class. Those classes sound intense, but awesome!

Leebird - I know Jillian Michaels is a love it or hate it kinda lady. I think she has commercialized herself to a point where she is no longer taken seriously.

Well I weighed in at 254.8 this morning and that means a 4.2 lb loss and 1.62% body weight for the first week of my challenge! Man if I could lose this amount every week I would be SET! I know i am not the biggest loser this week, but there are 11 more weeks for me to kick butt!

I need some serious modivation, I feel like I am making lots of excuses as why I am not exercising and need to just do it!! I have 3 months to work on myself for my short term goal then have to continue from there. I know once I start working hard I will get results, but Starting seems to be my main issue these past few months...

Thanks girls! I appreciate the love. Wed I was at 250.8...just about there. I was sooooo good. Then, Thurs., the next day....256.6! :fr: WTH??? So today, I am at 254.8. I just do not get it. I am on Weight Watchers. Fruit and most veggies are "free". So, I have been having fruit and yogurt for breakfest. Clementines for snack or a Nature Valley bar. Salad for luch. So, by dinner I have used maybe 10-15 points. I get 38 a day. Wed night my hubby made soft tacos for dinner. It was a flour tortilla, beans, ground beef, cheese and salsa. Not the best, but still w/in my daily points. A 6 pound gain?!?!?!?!? Plus, I have been doing about 45 min of WII Fit a night with my hubby cheering me on. I have been in the SAME range for months. WAHHHHHHHHH!!! Okay, enough!

Essa - WTG! I am proud of you. Plus you inspired me to belly dance. I requested a belly dance DVD from my library to try it out, along with the 30 day shread. I will say that Jillian scares me a bit! :sumo: She could kick most guys butts!

Morning ladies. Tomorrow is weigh in day, trying not to fixate, and trying to get the nerve to take the full recommended measurements. Don't know why that is so hard for me, but tomorrow come heck or high water, I will do it.

Lisa, I would be frustrated too.

I am doing the weightwatchers and feeling full and using most of my points every day. Not losing fast, but feel like this is a way of eating I can live with for life. My day looks like: scrambled eggs (2) with salsa for breakfast, string cheese and a fruit for snack. salad with a little protein for lunch. fruit in the afternoon (two-ish) Also I keep fruit around to eat if co-workers are having other stuff. For dinner I start with a salad or a 1 or 2 point soup, and then have a "normal" dinner. I measure carefully, as I know my idea of portions is a little skewed. I keep raw vegies around too. And sugarless gum. So far I haven't used all my weekly points, in fact only once have I used more than 10 of them. I have switched to small plates as well, got some really cool ones, and it feels good to use them.

And I can't weigh each day or I will stress over every little thing. So it is once a week for me. (and that has been hard to learn-- as I get close to goal I will go back to daily weighing)

Essa- I used to belly dance many years ago (when I had much less belly, lol) I just loved it then, lots of fun and terrific exercise.

I just started WW up this week. Now I'm a bit nervous. I feel like it's letting me eat too much. KWIM?

Oh well, I started at 260.8 on Wednesday (was 258 on Tuesday) and hit back to 258.5 on Thursday. This morning was down to 257.4 and TOM started.

Hoping I flush my body and have a good weigh in for Sunday!

I feel the pain when it comes to motivation for exercise. I knew I should have done something today but just could not get motivated for the life of me. I kept making excuses all day and now it's nearly dinnertime! :( We can do it though! I still want to try to sneak in a little bit of weights or something this evening then go full tilt tomorrow after a good night's rest.

My scale was at 249-250 this morning and has been 250 throughout the day so despite my laziness with exercise I'm happy to see progress. :) I just know it would come so much quicker if I got up and exercised! We should make a challenge for it. :D

Riesz You are right there! And I love your idea of changelling each other to exercise.

On that note, I have been a slug all day. Just really run down and tired the past two days. Tomorrow is weigh in and after the tears I WILL do my C25K and maybe even some Wii fit to boot.

What is everyone else's exercise plan for the weekend?

Bunti You are doing excellent on your food choices. Rub some of that off on me please!

Lisa It sounds like you are doing everything right. Maybe try something really different exercise or food wise for a few days and see if that shakes you lose from the range you're stuck in.

The 240s are running from us. guess we'll all have to chase them down!

255 today :( I have been really good with my diet, staying between 1200-1400 calories a day. I am hoping it is just water.

Tonight I did 30 minutes on the treadmill, about 20 minutes on weights focusing mainly on my arms, and about 10 minutes of abs and stretching.

I am making myself crazy with excessive weighing so my husband "disposed" of our scale. I am just going to use the one at the YMCA on Sunday mornings from now on.

I am still a member of this club but am getting close to leaving! This morning I weighed in at 252. The 240's are calling my name and I'm very excited about getting there, because just over 1/2way though, I will hit a loss of 100 pounds. Is is just symbolic, because I still have a long way to go, but yet very, exciting!

augh. Today I woke up and I REALLY wanted to be 254. I was so sad I wasn't. But...I went back and looked at my weight loss tracker and realized it's only been 5 days since I hit 255. lol. I'm not sure why I was so upset. Man, sometimes I gotta just tell myself to give me a break. :P

I'm not quite ready to really cut calories yet as I'm still establishing the whole breastfeeding thing, but I'm going to start the zumba dvd's that I borrowed from my mom today, so we'll see if that will kick something into gear.

Well I stayed at 254.8 this morning and concidering that I was semi bad this weekend I am happy with that.

I finally started 30 day shread yesterday!! Only a month after I wanted too but better late than never.

I am moving this week to a new place so I am hoping a week of moving boxes up and down stairs will do something good to the scale! I am hoping to be below 253 for the weigh in this Friday...

Bunti - I so agree with you on the processed foods, I need to completely banish them from my diet, but they are so easy. Maybe one of these days I will be motivated to cook for the week so I have quick meals that are good for me.

Well, I have good news and bad, the scale tipped down .8 pounds today, so WOOHOO! But my wonderful plan of starting "real" exercise was a fail. Apparently my post baby body isn't quite ready, my lower abdomen is cramping so bad today that I feel like I'm in labor again. I guess they tell you to wait 6 weeks for a reason. Guess I will have to stick to walking when the weather permits for a little longer.

Good Morning!

Well I am 254.6 this morning, I need to start giving this lifestyle a kick in the butt and just give it 100% (right now I am running at about 60%). Once it gets warm outside I can usually get modivation but with this cold weather an electric blanket and a cup of hot tea tend to be my best friend = not much exercise...

Is everyone in the midwest geared up for this snow, I am kind of hoping it is not as crazy as they say its going to be: 2 feet of snow :o Oh course I lived in one of the top 5 snowiest cities in the country for 5 years so I can't talk.

Hi everyone....I am still battling the post junk food hungries.

I didn't go off plan the other day, just fit some "treats" (read that processed junk) into my day. Boy, I started the cravings, the bloat and even some achyness. Yesterday I did better, but still not getting my water in, gotta work on that.

You know, a few years ago I became allergic to shrimp and clams, have to avoid them completely. Maybe I can get myself to think that way about junk food too.
I know I can never have shrimp again, cause of my reaction. I miss it, but can live without it and have found okay substitutes in many recipes. I need to get that mindset about sweet baked goods, heck- any white flour baked goods.

I am in! I weighed this morning and am currently 257. I am hoping to be in the 240 group asap. 3 miles on the elliptical, weights and then 45minutes in the dry sauna. Found out I think I am going to make use of the hot tub at the gym too. Here we come 240's!

This weather is really making my routine difficult. It's so miserable out! The winter really depresses me and I just want to hibernate in my bedroom. Also, my family has been passing around some virus and it finally bit me last night.

I have been good with my calories but did not make it to exercise today. I am sure the other patrons at the Y would not have appreciated my snotty self roaming around the gym.

I missed my Tuesday weigh-in so I will weigh tomorrow.

I hope everybody in the path of this storm stays warm and safe.

Bunti - Wow that was a great post, I hear you about trying to set up a different attitude with all the foods that are bad for you. I too have a HUGE issue with processed foods and baked goods (I actually have a baking business on the side) and wish there were an off switch where my body just doesn't want it anymore.

Brenbray - Welcome, sounds like you are on the right track, A dry sauna and whirlpool sound so relaxing after a hard workout. I need to follow your lead!

Sperrin - I hope you feel better today!! This weather is making the lazy want to come out in me too.

Well ladies I am at 253.0 this morning :carrot:

We were literaly snowed in all day yesterday, even work was canceled :) I spent all day packing and even took a 1/2 mile walk in the 2-4' snow drifts to put money on my laundry card (Now thats a workout!). Tonight is more packing with the big move on Saturday morning!

248.5 this morning. I am not jumping for joy yet because

a. I have been sick and it is probably just dehydration and

b. I weighed on my home scale and it likes to toy with my emotions.

I feel like I am on the road to recovery which means no more excuses for not exercising and drinking all my water.

Essa- I do not envy a move this time of year.

Kylonaa- I second Essa - You can do it!!

I will weigh at the Y tomorrow and hopefully be able to say "see you later" to you ladies :)

Sperrin - Those darn scales messing with a girls heart!! My scale at home always weighs me in 3 lbs light like it is trying to be nice to me. I use a scale at work for daily weigh ins.


Well today I weighed in for my challenge at 250.6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH my goodness so close I can taste it!!! I lost 4.2 lbs this week again too!!

This afternoon I broke down and bought a new scale for home. It said 248...I guess there is less gravity in my house??? LOL!:rofl:

I started the C25K program this morning and made it through the first day without much difficulty. Looking forward to Day 2 tomorrow.

Watch out 240's, I'm on my way! :)

I am so very proud of all of you! You guys are doing just great! Me on the other hand, not so good. I really fell off it last week. I just get so frustrated! I have been in the 250's for months! I stay on plan, within my daily points, drink my water, increased my fruits and veggies and I just bounce between 256 and 251!!!! I know I don't work out as much as I should (winter sucks), but I have been getting in around 30-40 min everyother day! You guys will all go on to the 40's without me.....:cry:

I figure at least 2 more weeks here for me, and I am upping my effort by adding a lettuce salad with salad spray before lunch and dinner. I find it's hard to eat all my points if I do that. Also, I have noticed that most processed foods are not my friends- they slow me down, gotta be really careful.

Anyway, I KNOW we can do it this time.

Well, I weighed in at 249 tonight @ the YMCA. :) :) :)

I've really been working my butt off in the gym. One more pound until my 20 pound loss and then I am treating myself to a few sessions with a personal trainer.

Well I am up a few lbs this morning (253.4) , which makes NO sense because I moved all weekend (Hardcore 6 hours each day including yesterday) and ate less than normal. Only thing I can think of is that I didnt drink enough water or blame TOM...

Congrats Sperrin! Well, I haven't bothered to weigh myself because I did so not good between my son's birthday party and super bowl junk. But I did work out yesterday, zumba, and Oh My Gosh, I have no rhythm. :) I'm also drinking tons of water and so I figure I will give myself a couple days before I weigh in again.

I went to my Weight Watchers meeting on Monday completely un-motiviated! I showed them my weight in chart. They decided that I am "stuck" and told me to cut back my friuts and and more veggies. So, I weighed this morining and I am at 253. So, keep on track...veggies, and move!

I'm in a "contest" at work and weighed in there today at 249. BUT I think the scale there weighs 1-2 pounds lighter then my one at home. So I want to count it, but I won't!

Well, friends, after not counting the work scale on Wednesday, my home scale told me late yesterday and then this morning that I am 248. So I've come to tell the 250's goodbye forever and I'll see you wonderful chicks in the 240's thread!!

I will be here for awhile. Last week was 253.8 this morning was 252.9. Not quite a pound. I feel like I am retaining water and I am pretty sure it was the Chinese food yesterday. I was on program, but there is alot of sodium in it.

Hi everyone! I'm going to sneak in this thread. I have been gaining 3 lbs, losing 3 lbs, gaining 3 lbs. for a few weeks so I definitely need some support to keep the momentum going.

I feel really different, though, about this recent string of being on plan. I'm just not worried about going off-plan anymore. So remind me of that in a few weeks, OK? ;)

Hi, too new for a ticker but thought I would jump in this thread for motivation! I was at 255.5 yesterday, down from my all time high of 259.5 when I joined this fabulous board. Glad I got myself together and got working on it before I hit 260 (just barely!).
Honestly I didn't even know it was that bad, after my last big weight loss I just gave up and have been piling on the pounds and not even weighing. When I was down to one pair of jeans that I could fasten I finally bit the bullet. Looking forward to getting down to the 240s as I think I have two more pairs that will fit then:)

Yes, I have a closet full of pants in sizes from 14 to 22. Ugh.

Girls it was so funny this morning. I hopped on the scale to take a peek. I wasn't hopeful because I was having a "fat" morning. Anyway, I looked at the numbers and got so disappointed, I was ready to cry. 259.8

Then I looked closer. Then I about cried for a happier reason.

254.8 I was so ready to think I gained this weekend, even though I was right on plan the whole time. The 4 really threw me for a loop. Can't wait to see what happens on Wednesday. I won't be weighing again until then :)

Well, it was a combo losing 150lbs/finalizing my divorce/early 29th birthday present but it's a trip to San Diego in July for a convention (Comic-Con), a guided private tour of the Zoo, surfing lessons and meeting up with some friends that are coming down from LA. I've never been to CA or seen the ocean before so I'm excited and looking forward to not being mortified to being seen in a bathing suit!

In even better news, 255.2 as of this AM!

Hey ladies! I am a fresh recruit from the 260s thread! :wave:

I dropped into the 250s a week ago, and I waited the week to make sure it wasn't just a fluctuation before moving threads. This morning, I weighed in at 252.6, but I do expect a little bounce back up in the morning. I think I'm probably an actual 253-254, in general. We shall see. Anyways, I'm so happy to be in the 250s again (I've been topped out in the 60s for what seems like an aeon), but now I'm looking forward to the 240s and beyond...mind if I join in with you guys? :D

One lb up today - I'm not worried though, I did 60 minutes of cardio and 20 of kettlebell DVD around 7:30/8:00p last night so that may have something to do with it.

Had a 0.8+ lb gain this morning, which brings me back up to 253.4...not exactly the way I wanted to start out with my first check-in on this thread, lol. :o Like I said in a post elsewhere, I know what I did, so I'm hoping my downward trend will start again tomorrow.

For the past couple days, I've been struggling with my sodium intake, so I'll have to pay closer attention to that. And, last night - right before bed - I had a cup of 2% milk and one of the chocolate truffles my DH got me for Valentine's Day...whoops! I know he meant well with them, but I'm not liking having them around, haha. But, there are two good things to go with that...1.) He's way more of a chocolate lover than I am, so I'm sure they'll be gone in no time, and 2.) His other gift, besides some beautiful stargazer lilies, was the EA Sports Active 2 game that I've been wanting for my Wii, so at least I have a new way of working it off while I'm stuck at home! (We both had a good laugh that he got me a big thing of chocolates and then handed me a workout routine right after...:lol:)

Anyways, I am off to get ready for work. You girls are doing great, and Essa, I have no doubt you will break into the 240s at last by the weekend! Belly dancing classes sound like a ton of fun!

Well, I survived Valentines and the chocolates hubby bought me without gaining. I'm still at 250.9. My six week checkup is on Friday and I'm really hoping to be down to the 240's, but either way, I think my doctor will be okay with my weight loss since baby.

251.2 this morning... :( I realized the only beverage I had yesterday was 4 cups of black iced coffee though and no water, so today I am pushing the water and seeing where I end up tomorrow for my official weigh in of the week.

On a side note Belly dancing class is awesome, not as intense as I thought it would be, super fun and a great group of ladies. I am hoping all these shimmys and lifts and rolls help to lean and lengthen me out!!

Ophelia - Yay for signiture!! We are almost body twins :) I do the belly dancing through the park service here in town, i didnt know we offered it until a girl friend pointed it out. The class is actually called middle eastern dance (our teacher is in her 50's, talks about how modern american belly dance done by tall skinny 20-somethings should be limited to to the bedroom, lol).

Well my official weigh in this morning/week was 250.4.... SOOOOOO Close!!! I'll have to wait til next friday to see if I can finally see 249.

Me and some girl friends are going to Indinapolis this weekend for a night out, I hopefully dance enough to make up for the drinks I will be having :o I have to find creative ways to burn calories while still having a hopping social life, seems that every weekend someone wants to go out to dinner and drinks and stay up til dawn... puts a bit of a damper on the ol' diet.

Happy Friday all!

Well, today I am at 254. Seems I will be stuck in the 250's FOREVER! But the weather has broken and I got out yesterday w/DH and went to the zoo. I had my 6 month check up and my doc told me I am still clear of the big "C"! YEAH ME! So, I am more determined now to stay healthy. I tend to freak a bit before my check up's, so for the last week, I was not very good. Maybe next week in the 40's???????

I am having a frustrating morning. Up 3 tenths of a pound today. (for the week) The first time I haven't showed at least a teeny tiny loss. Darn. I wanted to be out of the 250's by the end of February, but barring a miracle, it doesn't look like that will happen. I am thinking of weighing every day this week to see if I see a pattern. (ie. certain foods causing a gain)
I AM down 1 inch on my hips this week, a half inch on my waist, and a half inch on my bust. Thigh the same, down 3/4 inch on ankle, and I just took a baseline measure on my upper arms for the first time this week.

I stuck closely to plan this week, but twice had rotisserie chicken, and have found now that the one store that used to prepare and roast their own, now buys it commercially pre-prepared and "injected with a solution of salt, sodium phosphate, and spices" I also found out that many places who have a "healthy" chicken alternative sandwich or salad are injecting their chickens with "maltodextrin, modified food starch, salt, spice,cilantro, natural and artificial flavors, hickory smoke flavor, partially hydrogenated cottonseed oil, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, corn syrup solids, guar gum, locust bean gum, coconut oil triglycerides, and water."

I guess I need to make sure to roast my own chickens here now. The last store that used to prepare their own, now does the pre-made.

I was totally within my points this week, as well. I only used 9 weekly points for the week. Not sure what to tweak.

Well, my weigh-ins have been frustrating over the last few days...it seems like my body is REFUSING to break the 251 mark, no matter what I do. More water, less food, more food, working out, rest days, cutting back on sodium, etc, etc....nothing is helping me break this plateau. UGH! But, I'm down to 251.0-251.2 (scale couldn't make up it's mind this morning), so it's better than nothing. I've been fluctuating between 251.2 and 252.4 for days now, so at least it's technically a drop.

Monkeysocks - Doing good, Monkey...keep at it!

Essa - You're right, our stats are very similar! How neat! Also, what your teacher said is hilarious, and I agree. I have seen some "bellydancing" that looks more like it should be done on a stage with a pole, lol. Both look fun for different reasons (DH would probably agree here, haha), but I think I'd like the focal point of the class you're taking much more. :yes:

Lisa - Yay for healthy check-ups! Glad it went well for you. Here's wishing you a less stressful week to get back on track. :)

Bunti - Hey, the weight isn't all that matters...look how much you went down in size! That's actually pretty awesome. And, I know what you mean about pre-prepared food. Now that I'm checking all nutrition labels when I'm shopping, it has been pretty crazy to find out how many things have horrible, fat-inducing stuff added into them. And, for very little purpose as well, so it's been frustrating. I think I will be teaching myself to cook a lot more over the course of this year...a new goal of mine. Homemade is looking like the only way to go to actually know what you're really eating.

Tori - So close! You and Essa have been right there together at the brink, about to drop out of this thread...you can do it!

I'm off today so it's the first chance I've had at posting almost all week but I'm down to 252.7 this AM! I'm especially psyched because I've been slooowly adding back in (good/healthy - mostly fruit, yogurt and sprouted bread) carbs after 6 months of 30g or less a day and was worried about the lbs creeping back on.

So I've been in the 260s thread for a while and didn't weigh for about 2 weeks... when I got on the scale this morning I was shocked to be at 252...that's 10lbs down and nearly skipping the 250s! SO I'm happy to be here and introduce myself and I'm hoping to get through this and hit the 420s as soon as possible!!

I have had such a BUSY week, between my parents in town, deadlines at work and boy issues I assumed I gained 10 lbs back but luckily I only gained 0.8...

251.2 is my official weekly weigh in, better then I thought but still disappointed that I was so close to 240's and stumbled.

Well next week I will be in Orlando for 4 days (Escaping the cold and snow, YAY), so I am hoping to swim and walk around more than I eat and hopefully see a nice loss!! Plus no one wants to eat lots when they have to walk around in a bathing suit for 4 days straight, haha.

Well, I may have broken my plateau finally...scale showed a -2.0 drop from last check-in on this thread, which brings me to 249.6. Buuut, before I get too excited about it, I must admit it's probably partially due to dehydration, as I only got about 3 glasses of water in yesterday, when my body is used to at least 8-10. So, I'll be checking in tomorrow to see if I stay here or go back up. Either way, I was just happy to see something on the scale other than 251.something like I have been all week...lol.

Tori - I saw you post your update on the other thread as well, so congrats on officially breaking into the 240s! Hopefully I will be able to join you soon!

Sunny - Welcome to the thread; hope it's a short stay here! :wave:
