In belezura's abscence, I have decided to start January's thread. For all the newbies, pretty much all we do is track our exercise daily in minutes.

You can even break the months down and learn how many minutes you worked out each week (and use the info to analyze your weight loss in that period) or maybe after 12 months you could add all the numbers youíve got monthly and see how many minutes you exercised during the whole year.

You donít really have to post every day, as long as you keep track of the minutes from previous days and post it at once. It is up to you...

* Make sure you get your minutes from your OWN last post.

Belezura will back in the middle of January and I am sure she will jump right in :)

I have already set up my ticker for the year - my aim is 18,720 minutes for the year , broken down to 1,440 minutes per month.

I love being able to track my workout minutes! Excellent idea.

My goal for the year will be 1,440/mo = 17,280 for the year (assuming working out for 6 days, 1 hour each day).

I have lowered my target to 1200 per month now. I have decided that I no longer need to work out as often as I was doing as I am now trying to focus on maintaining. Plus I want to do more things in my spare time than go to the gym - I need to spread my wings more :). Let's just hope I do not suffer from gym withdrawal...:D

That's GREAT! I can't wait to be in maintenance!:carrot: Please post what workout schedule you eventually end on. I really wouldn't focus too much on amount of time as I would intensity. As you see, I don't workout an enormous amount of time, but after each workout I am literally drenched in sweat! My lifting my not be long, but it's intense and I can lift my body weight 9 times!:o

When I'm at maintenance I DEFINITELY do not plan to workout more than 3 days per week. Uggghhh...I can't wait for that day.:cool:

Thanks joyfulloser. Actually I have started concentrating more on toning and as a result I am working on the intensity. I realized I was doing too much cardio and I dont think I need so much at this stage. Hopefully it works!
