Default When do you weigh in?

So I notice there is about a 3 pound difference in my weight if I weigh in the morning vs. the night. No biggie there, I am fully aware our weight fluctuates at different times of the day.

My question is, which do you prefer? Do you weigh in in the morning, afternoon, or at night?

Also do you weigh in at the same time every week?

I've always heard morning and i seem to always be at my lightest then but I'm interested to see what other people say too.

Glad to hear others are weighing in the morning as well. I always feel like I am sort of cheating because I record my morning weight every Friday and I am my lightest in the morning. So I feel like should I be recording my heaviest weight, which is in the evening. I am being difficult I think. lol

I weigh myself in the mornings and never again during the day so that I don't get discouraged... because you'll definitely see a gain. after a meal, or after a few meals and drinkin liquids, the weight of that food is going to show up on the scale even if the food was healthy and didn't cause you to gain weight. Throughout the day your body will process your food (and you'll visit the throne a few times ) and by morning the scale will most accurately display what your actual body weighs and not include the weight of the food you consumed.

I always weigh myself right in the morning. I was told that is really your most accurate weight and since it's always the lowest weight through the day, that is fine with me. Lol

First thing in the morning right after I pee. The food and water we consume during the day affects the scale big time. For example, this morning I weighed after I peed - 164. Had 2 glasses of water and went back on the scale (not remembering that I had already weighed)...the scale said 167.

So you see...its best to weigh first thing in the morning. However if it is more convenient for you to weigh in the nights, do that. But make sure that you only weigh yourself at nights so that you can compare 'apples to apples'.

Thanks for the information. I admit I am guilty of that. I will weigh myself at my usual morning time and then sometimes later in the day I get curious and weigh myself again and then feel like this... ....I don't know why I do that because it always makes me feel down and I KNOW that it's going to be higher from food and water weight. lol Gotta stop doing that.

I weigh in the morning after two pees and a maybe a bm if I'm lucky. I figure it's the most accurate. I also try and stop drinking water by 9pm. I figure if I weigh only in the morning, I stop obsessing. I also make sure to do my best to do it naked or know exactly what I'm wearing weighs.

tschaff04- I'm sure we have all been guilty of it at some point. I used to weigh myself like ten times a day... every time I went to the bathroom and saw the scale there, lol. It was as tempting to me as ice cream, just couldn't help myself. So i don't keep it in the bathroom anymore, out of sight out of mind. I put it in my closet so I have to actually take it out to weigh myself.

Monday morning after I pee. Well, actually, Monday is the "official" weigh-in, but really, I weigh every morning.

I like mornings because it is more consistent for me.

That used to be me too. lol I seriously weighed myself every single time I went in our bathroom. Now my scale sits way up high in our kitchen so I forget about it.

My mother always told me to weigh in the morning before you eat anything. I think I'll weigh in every 2 weeks at least that's when I'll record it. I had the habit of weighing myself in every day but that just disappointed me. Also I'll do my body measurements once a month too.

I am terrible with body measurements. I don't even attempt to track them because I can never get an accurate number to begin with.
