good morning,

last week on my endro appt. she changed my meds from victoza to byetta. she did this for the weight loss benefits. victoza does curb the appetite. but, i am the "eat it all" person. if i am hungry or not i will eat. i stop when i feel really really full. she hopes this will help better. i haven't changed over yet. she said it's my choice. i check out meds so throughly before taking them. does anyone take it and what are your weight loss finds? my A1C was 5.8. it's hasn't been over 6 in years. she is just concerned about weight. i gained 15 pounds in three months. she now wants me to lose it before my next 3 month check up. back to counting carbs which i did when first DX. lost over 80#s now most of it is back.

I don't know if anyone takes it right now. I do know that Ellen took it at one time. Perhaps you can PM her. She posts in here sometimes but usually hangs out in Sugar Busters.

I took Byetta and got the worse case of nausea and vomiting. It also sparked off gastroparesis in me because Byetta slows down digestion. It took a year for my body to recover from the gastroparesis but I will never take Byetta again.
